Mr President
Location: Osseriton, Imperial Palace
Prelude:
The Empire had fallen completely. After an attempt by a small faction to bring back the imprisoned Emperor through use of force, a group of one thousand and twenty-one civilians, soldiers, pilots, and officers was arrested and stood trial. Along with them stood Ex Emperor, Toran Fel. Standing in defense of charges of high-treason and multiple murders of the Regents private security, all but two defendants were sentenced to death. Two weeks after the ruling, Toran Fel was executed by firing line along with 5 high ranking officers of the Fel Navy. Though the people were against the emperor and his inability to rule, they hated the method in which their leader had dealt with him, a portion of the population would not allow their "Rightful" leader to be shot by his own military, they felt their was no lower way to die. After the executions and trials, Harris degraded some of the remaining conspirators sentences from death, to mere life in prison. The damage was already done however. Just two days after the execution of Toran Fel, public opinion in some of the worlds began to shift in favor of Harris' step down from rule. Despite not wanting to, Harris caved to public opinion and planned his resignation speech.
The night before his resignation, Harris lay asleep in his bed, he was awoken by the sounds of blaster fire and screaming. The doors to his chamber opened and he was shaken by the sight of several soldiers, covered in blood, screaming for him to run. He didn't run, Harris shot out of bed, and as told by the men in that room, pulled the golden blade of a lightsaber from his drawer and defended himself and his men from the onslaught that was another coup attempt. The following day, rather than stepping down, he remained quiet. He received transmission after transmission of successful coups on many other Imperial worlds. All of them stating their secession from the Fel Empire. Harris stood silently, watching a map projection of the empire he tried so hard to save, be broken up into smaller and smaller sub factions. This wasn't the end, it couldn't be. But for now, that's what it seemed as Harris stared at videos of his revolting populace. Now he, and the remainder of his loyal military, ruled over a small portion of the capital. Though the city was still partially under their control, nothing else was, no land outside the city boarders flew the Imperial insignia.
Setup:
It has been 3 months since the complete dissolution of the Fel Empire. Harris serves as both the Grand Premier of the Free Kingdom Of Osseriton, and Supreme commander of His Royal Highnesses Military. Through a deep search, a man by the name of Alexander Martin has been discovered to be the 2nd cousin, and closest living relative to Toran Fel, He ruled as "King Alexander Fel I". Though he holds no political power, having someone of royal blood back on the throne lessens the threat of any more civil unrest. The Government, however stable, is lacking on resources, and plans to take back the capital world. With support from a major galactic power, a few ships, mainly Harris' throne, a few venators, and all the remaining fighters remain fueled and resupplied. Though the ships are operational, the Royal military can't field the venators at the same time as Harris' throne due to manpower constraints. This has caused Harris to cut funding to the crews of the larger ships and retrain those willing as fighter pilots. With a mix of poor economic assistance, no real protection, and the government looking to any method possible to get much needed supplies.
Grand Premier Harris has sent out a transmission to any survivors of the great wars of expansion, inviting them all to the Palace on Osseriton. His plan is simple, he and whoever responds, with the help of a team of bounty hunters are to intercept a convoy carrying food, ammunition, and money. It won't be easy, but if they can capture one of the transport frigates, they will have enough food to feed the population of the Fel capital, and enough money to fill the imperial treasury, save for the bounty hunters wages. Now, Harris sits in the briefing room, waiting for a response from the remnants of his Shattered Empire
