Dev Shadows of Atrisia

[Junko Ike]

The empress seemed to agree... more then that she had been pulling up information for them about it and trying to show some more of it such as what the southern academy presented. Where north was skilled in engineering, the west their soldiers and combat.. the southern seemed to be boasting a lot in terms of naval combat. Long term projects for he school and they took more trips to the beach to run aquatic combat drills. Junko was seeing it. "Hmm perhaps something to save on their budget... we have artificial pools that could be designed for them to do these aquatic drills and airships they could practice with." The empress gave a nod of her head.

"We can look into it, their headmaster was... interesting. I don't think he is going to be a danger but he certainly is not worried about making friends. The Northern headmistress spoke to us in a message and mainly only wanted to be involved as needed. They trust the council president more to ensure the students are taken care of which is tradition." She said it and the empress was looking at a few other things.... "Hmm it seems the twins we rescued from Mythos are in the souther academy. From the Asobi colonies." She said it and Junko raised an eyebrow as she was thinking about it with a smirk on her face. She hadn't seen the system in awhile but they still supported the people there.

"They seem to have taken up as members of the student council so... that will be nice to se them. After what was done to their mother and father well I am just glad they seem to be adjusting better." She said it and had a smile onher face when they were moving around the room, the emprerss sat down to eat with Junko and they had their tea as the jedi masters thoughts drifted off presenting a few challenges to her about what they might be facing or having to meet people wise. The western academies wanted more in terms of space for combat and working as soldiers. The norther wanted more for engineering and high technology... the southern was looking to be more space, air and aquatic based.

Junko was looking at it all and well if they handled it properly they could improve and adjust the system that the Onyx empress had put in place for them. A dangerous thing but changing it outright would be hard...it was much easier to incrementally change it so that they would all be able to produce the strongest. The exchanging of students to shore up and increase exponentially each academies achievements and trying tot est them out in ways that few others might do. If they could test new vehicles or airships here vs soldiers or some of the other challenges then they might be able to better improve the designs.

There was more going into it.. there was a bigger risk and the jedi master could see it as they had been working to ge the twins as well as the billions of people and different species withi the Asobi system to the colonies where they could survive. That had given them plants and species that were rarely seen around the galaxy here in the deeper areas of the core itself. The hyperspace network and cargo ships transporting millions back who were being able to live on the moons and other planets of the system. Junko could see more when they went over the central battlefield within the district and there were no forces there but the students were fixing and shaping it up for the next one.

The southern academy was one fo the oldest and it was beautiful with a small artificial lake around it and the center of the academy was a massive pool with buildings like wheels of a spoke coming out from it. Then there were lots of trees and even more where they went down towards the airfield that had been set up. A lot of the students were out and standing at the ready to greet all of them, they were giving a presentation of their unity within their uniforms and armor. combat armor that held the royal houses insignia. The headmaster stood there looking at them as the ramp appeared for all of them to travel down and the Empress waited with her procession.

They headed down the ramp and Junko was standing behind the empress as she looked at the clean, crisp uniforms that were perfectly measured and maintained on them. The headmaster finally emerging behind them and being followed by Unchou and Chujo with a look on his face close no doubt to pride... more so there was an arrogance to it that he was showing how dedicated to perfection they were. The Empress though remained in the center and clasping her hands in front of her motioned with her head for him to lead the way through his academy as well as guide them. Junko could see the waters around them spreading out in a circular pattern with pathways and they stood on those before filing away.

"Welcome to the Southern Academy Empress and honored guests." He said it when they were walking and staeted to lead the way. The buildings were mostly single story but they had intricate waterways that were lined with smaller boats they seemed to use to go between classes. The first building they went into was a massive auditorium that was sunken down with stairs and the seats looked out upon the waters partially. You could see above and below the surface of the water. Schools of fish and smaller creatures were swimming around in swirls of color with the sunlight filtering through. The headmaster motioned to the most well comfortable looking seats in the area for the empress and guests.

"Welcome to the southern academy, we are pleased to host our esteemed Empress of the Rice wine and her guests." He said it and stood there supporting himself on a small cane that would serve as a walking stick in many cases. He looked older and frail would be disingenuous as he was a seasoned warrior who had become a teacher. "The southern academy has in recent years begun to focus itself on our vehicular skills, from water craft to aircraft. They are nearly unmatched in operations for ships. Simulations for naval space craft have proven better with the newest reforms to the educational system that have been implemented and we are looking to continue along those lines."

He contnued to speak and brought up the designs and scans for what had been proposed for the academy as well as the secondary one... where the eastern academy was dominated clearly by the students who ruined it here this one was being reigned over by the headmaster who made sure both academies conducted themselves with honor and a strict code of conduct. THey wanted to make vast improvements and an airport for the academy or at least having the ability for their practice field to have concealed ladning zones would be perfect since they were going o be building under it with tunnels and everything already.

YEAR ONE TAG

Junko was looking at much of it and well tunnels below would be useful.. if they were like the crystasteel view port behind him then well it could be an amazing thing to have as well as if they imported some aquatic life. She knew there were dolphins that were wonderful and great for teaching. Perhaps let them be able to test out aquatic fighters that will aid with them in the next generation of Kabaneri fighters. She knew a few other things that they might be able to test out and developing the academy here into a next generation design for all of their students would also serve. Junko's finger tapped her chin when she watched more then listened to the lengthy explanation about the history and pride of the southern academy.

She was checkingg out that they could make it more vertical.... where they western was very much traditional with its buildings and the northern looked like a converted palace this was meant to invoke a sense of wonder and mystery. They could have it with towers and rooms... or something that might be shifting. She had seen things like rearranging stairs and buildings... would make it more confusing but it would also give them a sense of pride to have something wholly unique to them... hmmm the more she thought about it the more she was convinced that they needed to make sure things were done special and p[roper for all of them.

The empress seemed to be thinking about something and nodded as the presentation ended with a look on her face. She hadn't been bored but she was also not asking questions. Likely he was realizing he had insulted her and afterwards had the council president and the twins coming to help them. The exiled princesses that Beifong rescued while they were heading up towards it. Junko rose and looked at the Asobi born Atrisian twins who stood there in their form fitted clothing and well the climate was a little more humid then they were used to but there was a lot that was mirrored on Atrisia that had been set up on Shri-Tal.

"Shōda and Shōwa it is good to see you." She ran over to them and the three embraced as the jedi amster stood tall and ready for anything. Unchou and Chujo came over offering respectful bows as Junko spokes. "I present our visiting princesses who have brought back many from the colonies." A nice way of saying it that dind't bring a lot of questions as the colonies had mostly been hit hard with the devastation from the decades. So the Atrisians returning is not new... no it just meant why they were working on many more of the Atrisian system itself... approaching colonization in anothe way now instead of just spreading spreading out more and more.

Junko joined the two princesses wo were heading out with them and they could look over the academy itself. The headmaster returned towards his office allowing the empress to meet and see the students with the intention of coming or going as she pleased. He seemed resigned to well not saving face and would rather just slinking away. The jedi master wondered when the twins showed her around where they were looking... the council president who she had met at the meeting stood there with them for a moment but just bowed and excused himself. the empress was looking around and there was some news from their guards that the latest technology being developed was brought to them.

The kirano visor was one of them and after helping the empress set her own p the jedi master put it on. A smile appearing on he face as the holographic display scanned and showed everything. Pulling up maps and information for them to be able to see... then she was able to see and connect with the empress as well as the few others they were able to give them out to. Unchou tried it on and she looked at it as well as her Makie droid that flew around. Adorned with a small blaster so it could be wiith her in combat where others mostly used it to avoid such dangers. Where they jedi master could see a few more scanners... her makie droid stayed over her shoulder.

There was some of the other things as her visual display set itself up going through the database around itself and she could see the tags it was giving as it identified each object around herself and with small twitches of her eye and focus she could shift through it. She was looking at the scans as they went out and testing the range when it looked out identifying the fountains themselves... she was looking at the fountains and the waters as the scanners penetrated the waters and could look over the different fish telling her what there was. The ultra lightweight material made to be waterproof and sealed. The makie droid with her hovered around and Junko looked at the interest it had.

"Unchou... how did you managed to get weapons on your droid?" She asked it looking at the floating droid that had a small cannon and blaster built onto its wrists. She was trying to see all of the improvements and there had obviously been some modifications to the repulsors so it could hover and move with its bulkier frame and more weight... it was still moving like the other makie droids..... but Unchou didn't have the engineering experience to modify such things. "Ahh well we wanted to try and get something that would better fit the Western Academy princess... so we made out companion droids into battle ready units that can help in combat."

Junko was looking at her and all evidence they had seenshowed Unchou while skilled in combat and he ways of battle didn't have the technnical skills one would need to modify it... no it would be better with someone skilled in engineering and mechanical aspects like the Northern academy.... then her mind caught up as she remained silent and the empress seemed to figure it out the same time she did and they shared a look seeing that they had no expressions on their faces but their eyes met to silently communicate that they shouldn't speak. The jedi maste bowed her head and spoke... "Well it is most impressive, it might serve well for the military if they could make some like that."

Unchou seemed to beam at the thought something she had would be used for the military and if they could get it to work well then it would really be able to be used... she had some ideas. She and the empress walked away and bowed for a moment saying they needed a moment in private as they turned their backs and Junko reached out with the force to make a bubble that would contain their speech. The chance they could be overheard needed to be reduced as she looked over at a few things. "So we are on the same page right... something was going on between the two of them and now we have kind of a meat head who likes to fight with an advanced engineered and modified makie droid."

The empress was looking at her and she had a grin on her face. "Oh yes, there is more then something going on,, have you seen how red her cheeks get when Unchou is close or touches her... whatever is happening between them no one else knows about or if they did then they are not talking about it." She said it with a smile on her face though and turned around o look back at the pair and offered a bow of her head. "You two come here." The empress said it as she held up a hand and they joined them with a better look on her face while shooing away the guards and junko stayed so it was only the four of them.

"Now before we can continue the two fo you ahve not been honest with us... tell me what is going on between you two. Unchou you don't have the skills to upgrade your droid. That would be something Chujo likely could do." The empress stood tall and looked at the two of them while Junko was focusing the force and white current to make it look like they were just talking normally and laughing. "Ah well.... ah.... you see." Chujo was looking at her and seemed to be panicking for a moment. Unchou took a moment and she seemed to be getting angry but spoke up. "Hey leave her alone.... what she does outside of school shouldn't be anyones business."

The empress was looking at them and Junko raised an eyebrow. "What the do of yu do is not my business.. be happy but you shouldn't have to hide things... are your schools really going to be that offput." She looked at the two of them with a nod of her head before clasping her hands in front of her while Junko looked at the pair fo them. "Ahhh we don't know... there are no records of something like this happening during school. We know that some graduates married years lateror dated after their time in the school had ended." Chujo said it with a look on her face as she was thinking about it.... "But I am not certain my headmaster would like it."

Junko nodded to that, she could see others doing things after school... after the mock battles and rivalry when it didn't matter as much but not during it could be seen as a bigger shift towards two academies uniting with a singular purpose to crush the other.... but she was also not going to say no to the problem as the well intentions here were not with malice.. she couldn't speak to the future but they could be made for each other or they could be toxic afterwards if things were in the public eye. Either way Junko spoke with a look at them. "It is not a worry though we are not demanding you speak up but if you wish to be discreet a little more caution."

That seemed to get their attention and the two of them nodded, they didn't need to tell anyone anything and Junko would respect that.. the empress was pretty good at discretion as well which would serve a better purpose in the long run.... if anything this just made it more interesting and who knew what sort of additions could be added to the academies now... perhaps a little nook that the two of them could use and be free without having to risk discovery... it was something to think about as the others were working on testing out the new kirino interfaces.... The makie droids floating around and connecting with the companion devices.

Junko was looking at some of the other things though as she pulled up the interface tools and was showing the empress. "It looks like they have a number of things back at the palace itself to show off from new equipment to the final production lines for the first generation of fighter craft for Atrisia." She said it with a nod of her head as the empress was taking in everything around them... giving a few other instances as the empress spoke. "I think we will be able to head back. I want to see the eastern academy... it should be emptied out by now we can try and see what will become of it and plan maybe some of the construction to go along with the rest of the city.

Junko gave a nod to the empress who had a number of ideas there... she was presenting them with a challenge.. maybe.. or at least a chancce to try and find a good person or people within the eastern academy that they would be able to well transfer. If the academy was going to be changed into a military school that wasn't part of the age old traditions then they battle. Instead of producing more unique perspectives it was going to be the general populations answer to the normal and mundane... not the greatest but she had some interest as the jedi princess walked with the empress and they were joined by Unchou and Chujo as well as the twins.

It made for an interesting party to say the least while they were heading into the airship and the differences between the north, south and west academies compared to the eastern district and academ were night and day. Where they were cleaned and ordered.. the eastern district was messy... no messy would have bene kind it was ruined like a bomb had gone off there were windows smashed, buildings firebombed and graffiti everywhere. There were people marching and fighting in the streets as Junko spoke. "What is happening here?" She looked at parts of it and Unchou spoke. "They are protesting peacefully as they claim.. riots are contained here though no one lets them into the other districts.

Junko was understanding and she could see where it connected with the different districts... those ways had been largely sealed and blocked because the other districts didn't want to have to deal with the insanity. That there were people just roaming around in the streets that looked well homeless didn't help the cause... they were dirty, overweight and the empress spoke looking at them. "What happened here?" She said it and was trying to see all of the others. "They rioted, something happened and they tried... or did they just do it to make everyone equal... problem is there weren't unlimited resources and the scarcity problem."

Junko looked at them and that had been one of the things they had been trying to do. "But we have been working to try and solve that issue. It was one of the first things we did," She said it and Chujo nodded. "Yeah but when you want to make everyone equal you aren't puling them up to be better you are pushing them down... in this case only the handful of students at the top get to have the wealth and power." She pointed towards the school that they were able to see... destroyed except for some areas which had barricades and the different students around it more like thugs. "Afer they did that then intersectionality was used to divide the students more and more until only the most"oppressed" were on top."

Hmm she was starting to get an idea of what was happening... it wasn't that they wanted things to be equal.. they wanted power they wanted to be in control... no they wanted to be almost despotic. "I see." She said it and they were coming in as it looked like a gang was coming up to meet them. Clubs and black clothing that brought the attention of the guards and JUnkos hand moved revealing her lightsaber on her hip as she clasped hands behind her back while presenting that she and the guards would defend as the empress spoke looking at them. "We have come to speak with your headmaster at the academy... let us pass or there will be trouble."

The people who wewre approaching seemed to pause for a moment but then one of them spoke. "So you are just going to attack us when we are being peaceful?" He said it with a slimy smile on his face like they were walking into a trap in his mind.... fortunately the empress well had more of a brain when she thought about it and the guards spoke up. "I imagine because you know my soldiers are willing to cut you all down you are being peaceful... based on what I have been seeing so far and this actions now.. I am not impressed." She said it before she was walking forward and the guards followed with her to better preset themselves as a single unit.

The thugs cause that is what they were at best right now... not students just thugs trying to have authority over the pair of them as one came to bash a yovshin and Junko watched them literally disarm the boy disabling his arm but not destroying it as she severed his tendon and then behind his leg. THey were able to move around in the group as they came at them. The sound of blades slicing the air was barely able to be heard before they had finished them off and the empress was looking upon the fallen ones. "Those are eastern academy uniforms correct?" She said ti and looked at what they were wearing. Then she was looking at where the academy itself was and the sounds of gunfire went off as she knew Atrisian soldiers were marching on it.

Junko took point with the guards forming up around the empress and the students or at least the ones who were armed had tried to attack but the soldiers were not ones to mess with. Even using non-lethal settings on their weapons was going to hurt as she watched the council president standing at the stairs of the school and she was shrieking. "THis is oppression we have a right to be here.. you can't take our school you colonizers." She said it and Junko was stepping in front of her and starring her down. "Stop this now please." She said it and the woman seemed enraged even more at that. "You... you are just doing this because of your cis white bigotry against us."

The empress looked at Junko and Junko shrugged as she might be willing to move forward but she spoke taking from one of the soldiers a stun stick to not hurt them. "Under some circumstances you migh have had a point except." She moved her body folding into itself as she struck oe in the leg and discharged a stunning shock to make him fall on the ground. "My empress is a woman." She twisted again and got one in the kidney with another discharge as the twitching got a look. "I rose to jedi master because of talent." Her hand came out with the force and she flung one into a wall. "I am at best indifferent towards each and everyone of you."

Her attention remained on them and Junko allowed the force to reach out so she could sense the dangers in the area and only felt one trying to attack as he threw several fireworks at her and the empress. Junko reached out and pushed them into the air higher and higher as they exploded. "And doubtful you can understand my orientation you racist bigots." She said it and was looking at them as she moved with the force quickly stopping them so that she would better be able to protect and stop him. Her force grip on him keeping him from getting away as the soldiers restrained them and set flares... soldiers were moving in towards their location.

The soldiers arrived and presented to them yovshin in full silver armor, some in gold as they stood tall and there were soldiers with their blasters set to low power. Before she was heading out to meet them and tey bowed to the empress. "I am sorry empress, when we heard that you had entered we mobilized a full force... it has only gotten worse though and the eastern academies punishment squad seems to be trig to fight back but... these are children with sticksand they neglected their training." The empress nodded and she spoke while walking with their commander as well there were no people and things seemed to have ben worse then initially let on.

"It is sad what has happened but without being told no this is what happens... without honor and without purpose they just try and fight each other and then their leaders. We will have to try and find out what happened, who infected their minds like so but that will come later after we have managed to stop the more dangerous elements here and once we are able to sendin the droids to clean up the districts... mayybe it will attract the people back here to try and start up the shops once again." She said it and was uncertain but they were working towards the goal with the end idea being just that restoring the district since it is going to house a real military academy.

The next several hours were largely spent at the forward base they had set up, establishing it with war droids defending and auto turrets that defended it as several more were being restrained and taken into prison transports. They would be handled and taken to well the primarily detention facility on Phard VI the fourth planet in the system that was being constructed with a massive station in the atmosphere of the planet while it was being terraformed. As a means compared to others there was no question about what they were doing here and they would be faced with most of the dangers as their families had to come and try to get them released.

The empress had made sure the forces were making quick work of it.. even getting what police forces wanted to come back and try to help even being able to join in so they could try and convince the people they were there to help... that they were taking the district back from under the boots of people who preached anti racism, anti segregation but was more then happy to divide up everyone by ancient class, gender and more of their rhetoric. They were generally some of the worse at it and happy to do it as long as they were the morality police saying what was wrong and what was right. The student council and punishment squad were taken and imprisoned.
