SPECIAL FEATURES

• Force Radiance- due to the Sith Alchemy utilized in the making of Derumium based technologies, when the hyperdrives are used a slight sensation of the Dark Side could be sensed in close proximity to the hyperspace lane being traveled where the craft are located along said lane(s).

STRENGTHS

• Ability vs Age- unlike most technology from before the Great Hyperspace War, the Shadow Drive remains on paar with modern hyperdrives (hyperdrives made as of this post).
• Accuracy- is extremely accurate with its jumping navigation due to the ability for Derumium to interact with the force and expeditions being navigated primarilly by the few force sensitive androids.
• Derumium Based- the strengths of Derumium apply to this technology allowing it to be repaired by the force if the wielder has enough knowledge in Sith Alchemy and willpower.
  • The drives are forged to be repaired easier than other Derumium based technolgies due to their integral nature in the Derumic Android navy.

WEAKNESSES

• Irreplaceable- if the hyperdrive is damaged beyond repair, there is not enough Derumium to construct a replacement.
• Niche Application- they are constructed to only be able to interface with Derumic Android spacecraft, and would not be compatable with any other ships.
• Limitations of Hyperspace- anything that can hinder travel for hyperdrives made in modern times (times of this post) will affect this just as much.

DESCRIPTION
The ancient Sith Lord, Akhuul Sautra's, discovery of Derumium in the times before the Great Hyperspace War erupted lead to his estate within the ancient Sith Empire becoming far more technologically advanced than that of his rivals/peers. However, this discovery left him isolated as he spent more time developing the Derumium based technology rather than the politicking of the empire. Consequently, he was isolated following the death of Marka Ragnos and when the power struggle between Naga Sadau and Ludo Kressh came to fruition. Both sides saw him as a potential threat, and uniwittingly banned together to destroy Akhuul. Akhuul anticipated this, and made his estate relocate outside of Sith Space via a massive space station. Following that, both sides erased Akhuul from Sith history and proceeded with the massive war with the Republic as history teaches.

During the development time, Akhuul's navy was also improved with the Derumium based technology. First weapons were developed, but then more effective hyperdrives were constructed. They proved to be far more superior than counterparts used by Akhuul's rival lords, yet are now equal in effectiveness compared to modern hyperdrives (modern referring to time of this post). Their technology was exclusive to the ships made by Akhuul's estate, as a result any recovered cannot be interfaced with ships not of Derumic Android making. As a result, it is nigh impossible for the technology to be perpetuated and abused by the greater galaxy. Furthermore, the technology has been hidden on Sautra Vokh station for thousands of years, making it highly unlikely for this technology to be recovered by the greater galaxy.
