SPECIAL FEATURES

DESCRIPTION
The Derumic Android was the method that the ancient Sith lord Akhuul Sautra planned to cheat death, and force his servants and apprentices to serve him for eternity. By using Sith alchemy, he transferred the souls of himself, and all of his estate, into the android bodies, then had their consciousnesses downloaded into the mechanical "brains". The higher ranking ones have maintained autonomous cognition and some of their original personalities while the lower ranking ones are hardly better than droids in their general behavior. They have the general apperance of mechanical skeletons, with a red glow coming from their eyes and torsos. The soldiers and slaves look generic, while the officers, scribes, lords, and Akhuul himself have more adornments to them.
All Derumium was mined on Sautra Vokh, the world Akhuul and his subjects dwell on, to completion, and all Derumium was smelted and used in the construction of the android bodies, there was not enough left to create more androids. As a result, the amount of Derumic Androids has remained the same since their creation around the Great Hyperspace War, and the technology has been hidden via Akhuul's retreat from the Sith Empire in the days leading up to the massive conflict after being chased out by rival Sith lords. The Derumic Androids' heirarchy that was programmed into the mechanical "brains" keeps them from disobeying Akhuul's commands, making him the one thing keeping this technology from the galaxy.
Considering how powerful the usage of Derumium could be if left to run amok with creations that could channel force power, it is no surprise that whoever could control the Derumic Androids would have a substantial powerbase due to the order, unity, and hardiness of the machines inahbited by living spirits. However, as there are no more that could be made, and Akhuul in hiding (as of this submission) with being the only one who could command the androids, the potenital horrors of the technology's mismanagement will most likely not be visited upon the galaxy.
