Description:
As part of Aurora Industries's Project Bastion, a next-gen anti-fighter frigate was slated to be developed as one of the series. Designated the Sentinel-class Patrol Frigate, the ship was designed with maximum firepower in mind against small ships, along with the speed and armoring to make it an effective tool against such opposing forces.
To that end, the Sentinel-class is equipped with ten twin light turbolasers, twelve quad heavy laser cannons, ten dual flak guns, and twenty point defense lasers. The Sentinel is also equipped with a small hanger, but space was reduced to make way for the increased weapon systems so it can only contain six escort fighters.
It is not recommended that the Sentinel engage anything beyond something in its own class range as the armor and shielding is not designed to take a pummeling from larger ships. If engaged, the Sentinel would not last long at all and it advised that it remain near larger friendly ships to avoid destruction.
