Bucky
Intent: To provide the Rebel Alliance and their Galactic Republic allies with an extremely effective and lightweight supplementary armor system capable of providing protection against chemical warfare, the environment, temperature, radiation, pressure, vacuum, and limited energy-based weapon resistance.

Special Features:
The Rebel Alliance is famously known for being able to blend in anywhere at any place and time. This often resulted in their members not exactly wearing uniforms but rather being composed of a irregular styled fighting force capable of fading into the depths of a world's population without hesitation. Since most of these personnel don't wear armor at all as the risk of being identified by hostiles or hampered by the bulky weight, their life expectancy is relatively low. Thus the SecondSkin model was created to offer something of a fighting chance for these guerrilla fighters.
The first notable strength is its resistance to energy-based weapons. Armorweave's primary trait besides being extremely flexible and lightweight is its dissipation properties. SecondSkin is created by a blending of the fabric itself, overlaying the fibers to create a durable material and spread out the effects of a blaster bolt should it hit the wearer. Please take note that this only protects against glancing or low-powered bolts, as a direct hit would most likely puncture the armor.
Taking a hint from Karflo Corporation's thinsuit design, the Rebel Alliance has used their product as an inspiration for SecondSkin. The Alliance didn't want this piece of cloth to simply protect the wearer from combat hazards but to be an all-round effective survival garment. Due to the construct of the armorweave, it's a completely skin-tight sealed suit. This means protection from chemicals, radiation, extreme pressure, and vacuum. Due to the fabric's make, it's moisture-wicking and a simple temperature control module allows the wearer an astounding degree of comfort in extreme temperature environments by using a simple environmental system of small heaters and coolers that keep the wearer comfortable in temperatures ranging from -30 to 100 standard degrees.
In vacuum, the SecondSkin provides ample protection for up to 6 standard hours. This protection is just from the vacuum of space in sealing and heat. The oxygen supply, however, comes in the form of a small, durable breath mask with an extended filter that could purify external oxygen for up to 6 standard hours or provided 1 standard hour of air before running out. To counter this, the suit also had easily-reachable storage pockets containing 5 more filters.
Summarily, the SecondSkin Supplementary Underlay is lightweight, flexible armor system aimed at increasing its wearer's life expectancy by a large margin by either being worn under normal clothing or supplementing another armor system. It provides ample protection from the elements and other hazardous non-combat situations while also retaining a limited degree of energy-based weapon protection. It boasts no extremely special abilities and its electronics are limited to the rudimentary environmental controls and breath mask.
