SPECIAL FEATURES

STRENGTHS

Ex Machina: The left hand incorporates a slicing unit for on the fly script mischief that was purposefully designed and retrofitted to work in concert with the additional inbuilt digital lockpick and cyberjack functions.
Joy Buzzer: Right hand can generate a high-yield neuro-shock via the palm. This is rated for the temporary incapacitation of medium sized human and near-human subjects, although resistances may (and likely will) vary.
Handy Sensors: Right hand also has an inbuilt short range cyberscanner and is capable of projecting the data on the back of the hand via a holoprojector.
Swiss Army Appendage: Both hands feature a wide array of functionality due to the inclusion of a micronised multitool split across the two, allowing the owner to creatively adapt to the situation at hand.
Ghost In The Machine: The nykalt and stygian-triprismatic polymer used in the construction of these hands make them not only sturdy, but deceptively stealthy, too.

WEAKNESSES
Feel It In My Fingers: Hands feature limited tactile sensation due to other more pressing technical needs.
Cracker Box Jacker: Slicing unit is understandably limited given its size, being more present to augment and compliment the owners skill than take over.
Open Handed Approach: While the hands themselves are lined with Nykkalt plating that shields them from all forms of electronic detection, this protection only applies while the hands are in their default ‘closed’ setting. Opening them up to use their full functionality also opens them up to detection.
All Too Obvious Hand Pun: Cybernetic hands are fairly obvious without duraskin, and these are no exception in that regard. It is highly recommended that the user wears gloves when at all possible.

DESCRIPTION

In contrast to more combat orientated cybernetics previously made by the Workshop, the Scratch Monkey hands were built with utility and functionality firmly in mind. Designed to allow their user to adapt, overcome and survive in a variety of situations provided they’re creative enough with the inbuilt multi-tool options provided. The units were further augmented with a modest array of slicing, security countermeasures and scanners to compliment the intended owner’s suspected skillset.
A neuro-hand stun functionality was also added because, well, it wouldn’t be a Tricks of the Trade item without some bonus offensive capability thrown in. Tricks are for (script) kiddies and all that.
Beyond that, the hands are made to be robust and capable of withstanding general wear and tear without any issue. The added Nykkalt composite plating lining the inside of the hands ensure they remain undetectable while in a ‘closed’ everyday setting, although the open functionality of the hands unfortunately makes them highly impractical to use with synthflesh. This means that while they’re super subtle to sensors, they’re not so much versus standard visual inspection. Claiming eccentricity and wearing gloves at all times when they’re not in use is highly recommended.
