Sawa Ike versus The Amalgam

Damn her speed. Damn it!

The Amalgam was trying not to get frustrated but the longer this dragged on the more dangerous it got.

The Amalgam decided to switch tactics.

The Shi'ido's eyes became a smouldering, hideous red as she fixed the ancient power of Deadly Sight, trying to inflict burns on her skin and ruin her focus, even as she redoubled her assault, savagely attacking [member="Sawa Ike"] at extremely high speed from all angles, determined to inflict some form of damage, besides herself at the prospect of hurting Uri by killing this vampire. Sawa's actions infuriated someone like the Amalgam, for whom the Bogan was serious business.

The Darkness was important, for it was the only thing truly beautiful, and the only thing that could make others beautiful. Sawa was beautiful but she was wasting time not doing her utmost to make Uri beautiful, and that infuriated the mad witch.

Sawa's tutaminis was strong, but if the pain of her stare could overwhelm Sawa's focus long enough one of her saber blows might get through it.

She attacked as fast as she could, the strikes from her purple staff coming at superhuman speed, the Amalgam's teeth gritted in anticipation, her hate intensifying her stare, seething to open up Sawa's defense and cut her to pieces.

So focused was she in her rapid assault, she didn't feel the slightest sliver of emotional conflict building within...

Sawa watched her and she moved with the force in her body using the energy itself to move around and away from the strikes. She had her weapon but she wasn't going to interact with this one yet... it was more fun to toy with her prey before she kicked off a surface and came up letting red tendrils come from her hand to tear at and drain away energy wherever it lashed or touched. Her other hand was working to make black tendrils of darkness that were slithering and sweeping towards her. The darkside stronger as she caught one of the people nearby them... the red tendril wrapping around as they body contorted and screams came out fueling her power with the force to lash outwards.

The Amalgam snarled, once more forced to break off her attack and Force-Leap into the air to dodge the red tendrils of dark energy. She knew Sawa needed to top off, and that was when the Amalgam decided to start firing off blasts of lightning drawing, feeding on the darkness in the Force [member="Sawa Ike"] created in her drain attempts to bolster and strengthen the attack. She caught one fleeing arms merchant and sucked the life out of him brutally, savoring his death for a quick second...

Uri smiled happily as a black gloved hand applied a cloth doused with disinfectant to her curs and bruises on her arms and face. The Jedi Shadow, though young and with much still to learn, sat quietly on the gurney, not even flinching in pain, just swinging her legs slightly.

She was so cold normally. So quiet. So reserved. To see her beaming like this stilled the heart of the monster, now fully awake behind unknowing eyes, behind a false heart that was more real than the monster cared to admit. A false heart it strangely did not wish to tear away from just yet.

She was here, smiling at her. Unafraid. The monster didn't want to ruin her moment of triumph. It wanted to stare into those pretty green eyes. To share a pleasant moment with the wonderful creature it had gotten snippets of in hibernation...

Its successor...

Its heir...

The only creature in the universe the monster felt anything for at all...

The Amalgam felt something seize her from within. A splitting headache...pain like nothing she had experienced in a while.

She frantically retreated back, guarding with her blade, not certain what was wrong, only that she was weakening...

What was happening to her?

Sawa could feel power and anger.. then there was something in the air... a shifting of energies as the sith again worked to retreat and move back. SOmething was happening with her and it wasn't all Sawa as she moved quickly after her.. she was tiring of this and spoke. "Tell me who or what this is... I enjoy games but your are tiring. You threaten and endanger Maple... which as she is mine... I simply cannot allow to continue but each time you try and attack you retreat. Are you not brave enough to fight without the shadows? Should I turn my back and count to ten to let you get ready again?" THe last was said with a wicked grin as she pushed the darkside and the power around herself.

The Amalgam could only convulse slightly as she retreated, dread growing, face melting slightly, flesh rippling as she felt that terrible, familiar feeling of being submerged...

She staggered, still desperately trying to guard, but the submersion process brought out another voice from her throat. A voice that was not her own.

"Sa...wa...Sa-wa...[member="Sawa Ike"]..." The Amalgam hissed, her form melting and shifting to...

Someone else...

(Fifteen minutes elapse...)

The Amalgam burst out of the bar Sawa had fled to, heavily weakened and injured, running for her life as the Onna gave chase. She was back to normal, but she was panicking badly...

Sawa was on the warpath. Sawa would stop at nothing to see her dead now. There was no way the vampire would willingly let the shapeshifter leave Canto Blight alive. She had to hide a while, find someone to drain back to full health and hope she could reach her ship before Sawa found her. It was no good. For all the Amalgam's strength, Sawa simply had too much on her in terms of sheer experience to take on directly. The fight had cost her badly.

But she was not giving up. This simply meant she would have to resort to more subtle means. But she could not face Sawa right at that moment. Not when there was so much wrong with her internally.

The submersion process was out of control...and she wasn't sure, exactly, how to correct it at the moment. She almost hadn't woken up from the blackout in time to save herself from Sawa.

And it was currently a struggle not to be submerged again...

Through it all, Uri's gaze kept staring into her soul, threatening to drive the shapeshifter insane...

Sawa could sense something there while she was moving back a little and the being was running quickly... she was trying to escape until her Onna were giving chase to them. She ddin't move but followed it up as she set the display of her comlink. "Whoever this is attacking me, I want you to track them and find them. I want to know everything." She was suspecting something here and she would have to look back over it in her mind later until she was moving and sneered a little. She needed something to tear apart and or do other things. THis thing was threating Maple which just wouldn't do.. it could threaten her all it wanted to... it could threaten her family who could take care of themselves. Aoi was just as dangerous as she was and Kurenai or Elise... well hahaha... but Ni-Ne or Maple were off limits by most thigns so she would tear them apart piece by piece.

The Amalgam ran for her life down the dark passage ways that led to the hidden bar. The Onna would not cease their pursuit, shouting in Atrisian, no doubt, the shapeshifter mused, for her blood.

She was in no position to take on [member="Sawa Ike"] directly. She had barely pulled herself out of the submersion. Worse yet, Sawa had seen who she had turned into...she would inevitably put two and two together, and the Shi'ido wasn't sure how she felt about that. Either Sawa would tell Uri what she had seen her become...or Sawa would remain silent.

She was not so certain why she cared whether or not Uri knew. If anything, she'd want to tell Uri herself. When she got ready...which was a long way off.

Why did she care so much if Uri knew?

With a shock, the Amalgam realized it was shame she was feeling at the idea. Actual, genuine shame at Uri knowing the truth--

The Dark Side hissed in her mind as she dodged blaster bolts, still too weakened to use the Force as she bolted up steps and back out into the civilian streets, the glitz and glamour alerting her to another presence. One that felt familiar but...damaged. What was that--?

Pushing her way past civilians, crying out as a bolt pierced her shoulder. The Onna were good shots because she had been running at her body's max capability, which was shockingly fast for a humanoid, all the panicked crowds, still agitated over the earlier fight that had spiralled out of control.

A street mime jumped in front of her, pretending to pull at a rope. The Amalgam stopped, her face went emotionless, even with the Onna chasing her, took a breath, and calmly drop kicked the mime in the face. He went inert from the severe concussion as she rose, smirked, went over and snapped the mime's neck before running away from the silvery armored Onna, one of whom stopped to kick the mime's corpse before resuming the chase.

That damaged presence, meanwhile, continued to grow in the Shi'ido's mind as she ran through the crowds with Onna giving chase...

Sawa was getting reports where they were looking there... she was moving and sat down in her ship for a moment. Anger radiating off of her but she could see the Onna's reports as they were coming in with what was happening. Pursuing her through the street itself. THey followed after her and if they caught her or not it was going to be hell to pay for something now as she had somethings that were captured. Where she wanted to smash and kill them with the flames that were practically rolling off of her hands from the anger she suppressed. Energy coming off as she spoke. "Take us up." She would leave the Onna here and return to Atrisia... she had things to investigate and if Maple needed to be informed she would be. This woman was after her or at least wanted to try and harm her... so that was important.... she was important. While the energy vampire sat there she released some of her anger on a prisoner who was brought in as they flew around the chamber on the bridge of her ship.

The Amalgam ran and ran, still dodging Onna blasters. She was getting enough of her strength back to use the Force, and when she realized the effects of the unwanted submersion had worn off she felt her hatred gather and she decided to make it interesting.

She turned, a cold smirk playing out on her face. Dead purple eyes fixed on the pursuing Onna still chasing her through the pavilion, other citzens scrambling out of the way.

"Unholy Spirit, pour forth my ha--"

The Amalgam was tackled from the side...by a group of mimes.

"There she is! She killed Gary!" one of them shouted as they began kicking her bloody while she was on the pavement. The Amalgam was too stunned to react, both because the kicks were painful and disorienting, and because of partial shock at being brought low by mimes.

"Canto Blight mimes stick together!" another shouted, kicking her in the stomach, others holding her down and punching her.

Dark rage surged through her. With a scream of pure fury, purple lightning erupted from her hands, smacking into the ones holding her down. Amazingly, some of them still kept trying to punch her. Lightning ended them a second later just as The Onna arrived.

The Amalgam shot up, bruised and bloodied, and infuriated. Her purple blades went active and she summoned her Force Rage at one quarter of its full strength, boosting her speed and strength, causing her frame to bulge with increased muscle definition, causing her skin to pail and her eyes to go completely black from the Dark Side and cutting off her pain sensation as she sped towards the firing Onna, her staff whipping about her petite frame violently and killing two Onna, dodging or deflecting the bolts they fired, severing limbs and slicing them in half. Others drew swords and attempted to combat her, but her rage increased, as did her now bulging muscles, brutally overpowering each one with fast, vicious swipes, and gutting them once their defense failed.

The Amalgam dropped to the street, panting, hearing police speeders in the distance. Her frame shrank back to normal, and she felt intense weakness. She'd lost control, slipped into a rage too easily.

One of the Onna was still alive. The Amalgam crawled to him, placing a hand over his face and ripping his life out, drawing it into herself for replenishment. Within a minute, she felt energized, fully healed, and went for her comlink. [member="Sawa Ike"] was trying to leave. Amalgam thirsted for vengeance. She wasn't going to give up easily, even if she could not take Darth Shojo on directly.

Time to use Plan C.

There were still some of those vengeful Saffron Dawn Hunters from Atrisia. She contacted them.

"Sawa wants to leave. Make sure she doesn't."

At that prompt, several men on high buildings, having kept an eye on her ship since it landed, waited until it was truly about to start ascending before they fired heat seeking missiles at the ship from over fourteen different positions. High speed missiles. They might not all hit, but there was a good chance at least some of them would. Hopefully a fiery crash would do more to rattle the Vampire than she had...

Meanwhile, that damaged presence flared in her mind again. What was that?

It felt...familiar...

OOC: Boss fight inbound.

She sat there and looked at it the klaxon's blaring for proximity as rockets were coming at them and her crew spoke. "Master heat seekers." She was curious while watching there on the screen and the shields shimmered with the impact, designed to work with turbolasers. She could feel the impact though and the force was whispering to her as the Onna were reporting there were more things around. People on the planet and it was quite a sight to behold as she looked into the viewscreen itself seeing one of the hunters from atrisia who was there as she sat back. "Hmm these hunters are starting to annoy me. Send what we can but alert the security if they are firing in the city then it will be something they want to stop." She didn't care about the damage or the people... mostly she just didn't want to send more of her men when she could have Canto Bight take care of it and they didn't like people who cost them money.

The Amalgam smiled as the missiles impacted on the vessel of [member="Sawa Ike"]. She ordered the second salvo to try and crash the ship and then began to run through the pavilion, bolting past to try and reach her ship. If she got to it, she could try an attack run with her laser to try and kill the vampire...

She stopped as she got within ninety meters of the ship on its landing pad. The damaged presence in the Force was here. And it was close enough that it felt familiar enough to identify.

The Amalgam stilled as she realized who it was. She was surprised at her own mixed reaction to the knowledge.

On the one hand...it was another Marksman to kill...on the other hand...it was one she had been rather..."on the fence" over.

Laertia Io was the greatest saber fighter The Amalgam had ever run across. It would be criminal not to try and turn such talent to the Bogan's purposes.

Laertia had always left an uncomfortable level of bile in the Amalgam's throat. Of all the time she had spent in slumber, she recalled Laertia the least. Only Uri had truly stuck out to her. But what she had recalled of her automatically made her an uncomfortable subject. How such an unsophisticated street tough had been blessed with such skill baffled her at times. Then again, given her own background, she supposed she should not be 'that' shocked.

Laertia was...

...was...

...too similar...

Laertia was this disquieting glimpse of how she herself might have ended up, had the Congregation never found her. Perhaps that was why she recalled so little of Io...she simply did not like to think on their similarities during their slumber. She knew at some point part of her had fixated on Uri because personality wise, they were almost too similar in their approach to problems.

Laertia may have been a thug, like the Shi'ido had started out as...but had evolved into someone she could not have been more different from.

The Amalgam darted around, eyebrow raising. The girl was a showwoman. The Shi'ido realized she had a certain...regard for that. Not many went to the trouble of installing hidden speakers to psyche out their opponent with a slasher-film theme tune. She was actually jealous she hadn't thought of it first.

Playing cards shot out of nearby bushes, shooting at a pre-defined point in the air and disappearing one by one in a puff of smoke before Laertia shimmered into existance.

The Amalgam's cold dead eyes raked over the ex-Jedi, clad in black clothes and a spiked jacket. She was unusually pale skinned, with dark hair in an odd Moe-Cut that the Amalgam noted was uncomfortably similar to hers. The scars on her face were deep from the shrapnel.

Io stared, hand gripping the crossguard lightsaber that looked weathered and scratched. The Amalgam always took the loners with the beat up hilts more seriously than she took the ones with shiny, carefully maintained sabers. She often found that the ones with the worn down hilts meant they had seen a lot of use, and had survived a great deal as well.

Laertia's gray death glare leveled at already-dead purple eyes.

"Laertia! Such an unexpected pleasure!" The Amalgam uttered jovially, trying to get under her skin already.

"I'm ownlee gunna ask yooz dhis wunce..." Laertia growled, her green blades snapping on, rippling with energy.

"Where. Iz. Duh. Shroy-dinga Bahx?" Laertia asked. The question caught the Amalgam off guard.

"How do you know of it?" The Amalgam asked, now concerned that Laertia knew something she absolutely should not have even an inkling about.. "And really, Io, how am I supposed to be scared of The Black Knight of Nar Shaddaa if I can barely understand that gutter accent?"

Laertia flicked the blade to Amalgam's direction. Purple blades snaked and spun in the shapeshifter's hands.

"Ownlee dealz yuh gunna getz: Give me duh bahx...and I won't kill ya fer' killin' all my friends..."

That offer alone told the Amalgam much. Laertia was far better informed about that box than she had any right at all to be. Especially if she was willing to make that offer.

The Amalgam raised an eyebrow. "Not even Ursula? Because I did that, you know. Killed her stone dead. Slowly...

The Amalgam dodged the swipe to her head...

Her eyes were searching the screen as they looked on. Impacts from rockets not withstanding she could see they were being engaged by something else as she searched with the force and came away looking at the woman for a moment. Eyes fixed upon her instead as someting was dev eloping and she could feel it in the force. Sawa motioning for them to move as she spoke. "While she is distracted reinforce the shields... these gnat bites are going to be annoying." SHe knew that eventually rockets would be able to drop their shields after enough sustained attack but the danger of that was them running out of ammo.

THen they had to move through the hull armor when she was moving about now on the bridge. Tapping a console so they could record the scanners and visual information to track these two and it was looking to be something of an interesting duel... she would have to watch it and would have to make sure that they were tracked or found in the future if any of them survived... something amusing to her for what she might be able to better do. "Track and identify them... mmake sure we have scouts to keep a trail of them to let us know when they have them coming near either myself or Maple."

The Amalgam dodged and ducked the deadly hammer blows of Laertia Io's crossguard saber, not having the strength to meet the blows directly, only parrying when she had enough room or otherwise didn't have a choice.

Laertia's form one was beautiful, the Shi'ido admitted to herself. She genuinely had no counter to it. Io's take was one handed, allowing her more mobility. The Amalgam wondered whether or not Laertia had studied Darth Vader in secret...the way she fought had overlapping similarities to how the greatest of the Sith Warriors had supposedly approached battle. The Amalgam didn't even try to Counter-Attack. Laertia would punish any mistake in such a strategy with lethal swiftness.

"Your skills are as sharp as ever, Io." The Amalgam genuinely complimented. "The Jedi were unwise to cast you aside."

"Shuddit Syth. Yuh don't knowz mee." Laertia growled.

The Amalgam smirked. "Don't I?"

The Ex Shadow held back a moment. The Shi'ido backed away.

"Who told you of the Shrodinger Box, young Io?" The Amalgam inquired. "That's not the sort of knowledge a blunt instrument like you is normally trusted with. Who gave you the privilege?"

"Duh vewy same womanz yuh jus glotid 'bout muhderin..." Laertia replied, deep anger crossing her features. The Amalgam was silent at her answer, letting it register for a few seconds before letting out a chuckle.

"Good one, Ursula..." she said under her breath with an amused expression. "So Ursula gave you your mission, eh?"

Laertia didn't answer, instead taking a too fast swipe that the Shi'ido barely blocked, forced to her knees as Laertia bore down on her, forcing her own purple blades ever closer to her throat.

"Yuh gunna payz fer Ursula..."

"Such anger in your words..." the Amalgam sneered, smelling ozone. "Why so intent on avenging someone who never gave you the respect you truly deserve?"

"Yuh wudint undastandz, Syth..." Laertia replied, forcing a blade so close it scorched the Amalgam's shoulder, and the shapeshifter screamed in pain as she frantically executed an emergency roll away from Laertia, nearly losing a leg from Io's follow-up swipe.

The Amalgam had been driven back into the streets of Canto Blight, other civilians having cleared the immediate area.

In spite of her new injury, the Amalgam backed away as Laertia advanced, organic hand only on her blade.

"Wee aint'z quitz yett."

"Why are you trying to avenge one who cast you aside?" The Amalgam asked, not quite comprehending her previous answer.

Laertia gritted her teeth.

"YUH MUHDERDZ DUH CLOYSIST TING I EVA HAD TO A MOMZ! YUH GUNNA DIEZ LYKE A FETHIN' WURM IN DUH MUDD, 'MALGUM! A FETHIN' WURM IN DUH MUDD!" Laertia shrieked and charged.

The Amalgam, almost too stunned by the answer, and how much it struck a chord, nearly failed to dodge the heavy vertical strike, Io renewing her assault with a vengeance...

She was suddenly parrying frenzied, crushing attacks that seemed to come from everywhere...

[member="Sawa Ike"].

[member="The Amalgam"]

She didn't see what was happening, the distraction to their attacker served a purpose to them. To let the ship get out as Sawa went towards her quarters awith some of the others here. "Lady Ike, the one who attacked us seems to be within the fight and it is progressing. We shall have to see what she can do." Where they were looking and bringing the information about her and searching across whatever databases they could find. THe energy vampire snarled a little with the risk that she might have to seek other contacts who could get them information. She sent a message to maple about the attack and that it was someone trying to find her.

The Amalgam had never been exactly certain as to how Laertia had acquired her immense strength. What little she had been able to dig up on Laertia before her recruitment pointed to a career street criminal that got by on soft work, that involved as little violence as possible. That hadn't lasted once Ursula had recruited her.

Laertia's strength wasn't purportional to her body type. The Amalgam figured her for some sort of mutant. None of that mattered though because an infuriated Laertia was bringing her crossguard saber down against a shapeshifter trying to stay alive, her double bladed lightsaber intercepting the blade as quick as her lightly alchemized body allowed for, her arms growing tired holding off Laertia's beastly strength. Deciding to risk it, The Amalgam tapped the full potential of her own Force Rage, muscles bulging in her suit, eyes going completely black, the skin on her face turning pale as she completely blocked Laertia's next vertical one handed strike...

...barely...

Laertia's free left hand shot forward, grasping her opponents bottom-facing end...and crushed it in an attempt to rip it away, which left the Shi'ido with only one working blade, and her oldest one at that.

"That was one of a set, Io. My favorite, as a matter of fact."

"Good." Laertia sneered back, pressing forward against her enhanced opponent.

"Your efforts are wasted trying to avenge Ursula." The Amalgam hissed, prompting Laersha to try and attack her again with renewed fury, the Amalgam darting out of range at super human speed.

"Your skill is magnificent. The Jedi don't deserve you..." The Amalgam argued, trying to find some tiny crack of doubt she could exploit as she prepared to fend off another crushing assault.

"I'v herd dhis sawng 'n' danse buhfor, 'Malgum. Diddint by it frum all dhose thuggs on 'Shaddaa, 'n' I ain't byin it nowz." Laertia growled, angling her blade at the Shi'ido. The authorities had circled them and were cordoning the surrounding areas as they had between the Shi'ido and [member="Sawa Ike"].

"You could be a being of pure will, girl. A symbol of dominance. And you squander your wrath on the one who would tear her own arm off to help you get all that. A diamond in the rough, that the Jedi were too ignorant to clean..."

Laertia's blade fluttered in slight confusion as the spiky jacketed woman advanced, and the now muscly Amalgam, who could feel her body decaying every minute she remained in this state of body enhancing rage, retreated. Laertia struck, but the Shi'ido's words had found a mark of some kind. The Amalgam just wasn't sure exactly what sort of mark...

Meanwhile...

Maple Harte had been busy cutting slices of cake for a lingerie wearing pair of Kanzer Assassins, the very same ones that had tried to kill her at Loste Citadel with Matsu Ike when the message came for her. The Amalgam and some woman with a green lightsaber were fighting after the Amalgam had tried to kill Sawa. This sent a surge of fury through Maple, but at the same time, she was glad she was too far away to reach Canto Blight because she really wanted to sleep with these two Kanzer Assassins and this message from Sawa could not have arrived at a worst time.

Maple, quickly deducing who the Amalgam's opponent was, clad in her favorite black stockings and garters as she sent back a short message:

The one who attacked you is an imperial assassin named The Amalgam. She is my arch enemy. Very dangerous. The other is a former associate of mine called Laertia Io. She is extremely deadly at close range. Do not engage. Will get there as soon as I have finished prior matters with a pair of former associates. Damn I love double entendres. Wait, did I just type that down? Damn! I've already sent it out!

Maple hadn't been able to stop her internal monologue, nor stop the message from being sent due to a bout of insanity occuring at the wrong moment. It didn't matter, because the two assassins, a muscular but slender blond with golden skin nicknamed the Hammer, and a slimmer, shorter but no less muscular brunette with pale skin Maple had nicknamed the fly came out of her quarters wearing their own, far more risque takes on lingerie and beckoned her.

"Ready?" The hammer asked seductively, seemingly having forgotten that time they had tried to kill her. They really were quite charming, off the clock, that is.

Maple smiled, green eyes glittering with delight as she seductively sauntered towards the sultry pair.

"Definitely..." Maple smiled.

Sawa looked at the message and read it twice... raising an eyebrow but while she cared for Maple... she didn't possess her... she wasn't going to fault her the simple pleasures she could take within the galaxy.... so long as she was for lack of a better term. Willing to make the time for her. The energy vampire continued to see the reports from the planet. She sat back in her seat and looked at the other members of the bridge. "Well this is going to get interesting I think, continue to follow and inform me should anything happen. I'll be in my quarters." She rose up and sent a message back to Maple, low priority to not interrupt her but have it be there.

Sawa was walking through the ship and the low lighting was softer the closer she got to her room. Black metal made to resemble wrought iron carved with wood and stone inlays. Onna soldiers for guards but they did very little in the ship itself. Instead as they opened the doors several of her servants were laid out around the room. Various platforms around the sunken in bed that allowed them to sleep around her but not in a large pile of bodies. Sawa stripped down walking around the room as she laid down on the bed on her stomach. The servants around her beginning to massage her shoulders and back. SHe groaned with the welcomed embrace.

'THank you my sweet Maple, enjoy your fun and I shall look forward to seeing you on Atrisia.'

The now-over-muscled Amalgam was driven back ever further in the street by Io's furious swipes, though in the past few seconds Io had started to show she wasn't invincible...the Amalgam had managed to land two scorching grazes on Laertia's jacket, but Laertia's defense was more anticipatory than most saber fighters, which often augmented their physical attributes with the Force. She sensed the angles of attack, and let the Force guide her blade to their intercept points. As the Amalgam got faster though, Laertia's lack of speed began to catch up to her. Her strength was fantastic, but if you were not fast enough...did it really matter?

The Amalgam, who now knew her body was in great danger by this point, had just enough speed and reflexes for her blade to sail past an otherwise stellar defense and score another blow on her cybernetic arm.

Laertia cried out in pain, backing off and holding her crippled arm as she stared at the now-pitch black eyed Shi'ido.

"Perhaps I overestimate you. Am I wrong, Laertia?" The Amalgam asked, her black veined face smiling a wide smile. "You are too promising to serve the Jedi. You should be around those who will accord you the respect you deserve. I would certainly give it. You've certainly earned it, young Io."

Laertia's gaze wavered, but hardened a second later. And her answer affected the Shi'ido, but in a way too subtle for Laertia to notice.

"Ursy meantz too muchh tuh mee tuh throwz itt all awayyz jusst cuz yooz gott honneyed wordz..."

The Amalgam prepared to hold off another assault, when searing, horrific pain hit her from the side and she cried out in agony, feeling her insides start to shrivel as the electric judgement hit her her, the green lightning's source coming from a tanned, curvy woman with long black hair and dark brown eyes in a black armorweave dress gave the quickly mummifying Amalgam a hard look.

"You are not corrupting Laertia, fiend." Moya snapped, her programming where Laertia was threatened permitting no hesitation when it came to guarding her charge as the Ashla aligned energy cooked her target, attacking the darkness infused in her very flesh.

Knowing she didn't have long, the Amalgam struggled to get out the unholy words that would finish the Electric Judgment's job and to focus the dark just enough to escape. But Moya's lightning made this nearly impossible, and she felt her spirit starting to collapse...

The lightning cut off. Laertia turned. "Moya, what's up?" she asked.

Moya was twitching, face rippling and twitching with the rest of her flesh, now slick with sweat as the alchemized biot started to gurgle glowing green blood. It was overheating. Laertia cursed her luck as the biot staggered backward, moved with her saber to finish of The Amalgam...

But when the lightning ceased, the Amalgam found just enough strength to leave her now terminally rotting flesh on her own terms, and a burst from violet light erupted from a corpse that now decayed into a pile of spoiled fat and rancid flesh leaking out of her combat suit before bursting into purple flame, speeding towards the ship it owned, eager to inhabit the live body it had on reserve...

Laertia had a choice...help her caretaker, who's glitching was getting more severe as it coughed blood...or try and finish off the Amalgam...

Laertia cared about her caretaker, and as much as she hated The Amalgam now, she would not forsake Moya.

Laertia lurched over to her biot caretaker, who still stumbled, skin growing redder as it shook, more sweat sliding off as the flesh twitched and the biot walked, almost incoherent from the malfunctions.

Laertia spotted a nearby luxury fountain, with lights shining underneath. Moya hefted up the shaking, twitching, sweating, bleeding biot and dumped it into the water. Steam wafted up from the water in large amounts for the next minute or so.

Moya rose up out of the water, coughing, drenched, most of the water in the fountain steamed away. She wiped wet hair away from her face, coughing still.

"Yooz alrightz?" Laertia asked.

"Did we get it?" Moya asked, irritated that out of all the forms this could have happened in it had to happen in the form it statistically had the least chance of happening to.

"No..." Laertia answered.

"She hasn't left yet..." Moya said, getting out of the fountain completely soaked, though it quickly turned to steam as she walked through open air, as her internals had yet to stop completely overheating. "We can still get her if we're fast..."

"Whatz iff yooz ovuhheet againz?" Io wondered as they both ran for the Amalgam's ship...

"I'll overheat when that witch threatening you isn't breathing anymore..." the Biot said fiercely, particularly irked that the Amalgam had tried to corrupt someone who was a daughter to it...for that alone, the Shi'ido would die, never mind its other sins.

"The nerve of that creature, trying to tempt you in front of me..." Moya remarked, green lightning arcing between her fingers again..."The absolute nerve..."

Sawa hadn't much more information.. they were out of range for local feeds to tap into and now it was just waiting for reports or information... whatever and whoever it was... well she had some ifnormation but it meant only a little in the grand picture of how best to handle them. Tracking and confronting when the time was right could be something and it helped to be able to live a lot longer.. she knew how to hold a grudge and most beings in the galaxy got old and feeble... they became sickly and filled with regret. So if she stayed one step ahead until this woman who attacked wa son her deathbed and then came to her. in a cruel state right before the end.. she could make her suffer. If she had family she could think of one or two things that could be useful to do to make sure there was pain and dread... Seducing a daughter or son perhaps... a husband or wife.... there were so many ways to mess with a being when you had the time beyond simply killing them. "We'll meet again my sweet but oh the delicious things I can have planned for you to suffer."
