Originally something that could be used by military as a holoshroud. The projectors have found more of a civilian purpose with Sato being used to quick change costumes of the hostesses and entertainment. There are minor upgrades to the old models with somethings kept the same. It is worn on the belt as sort of the blocky piece at the side of their hip. The storage capabilities of it can hold two images instead of one and it is integrated into the buildings systems to update and let them change the image. The battery is on the low end requiring constant charging and most are replaced between sets getting activated before it begins. Generally running for a maximum of seven minutes. The batteries are charged in the building and returned after a shift ends.
The hostesses of Saori have been spending years working on the different image inducers.. with improved power cells as well as a means to use them from their necklaces. THey are able to use the hardlight projectors to make clothing and some small scale equipment just about anywhere they need for any situation. As they are usually dancers and hostesses in various business across the galaxy it is easier then producing hundreds of different outfits for them to change and show off each day. The improvements in the hardlight technology also allow them to better produce it and it can be worn outside of the businesses.

- Hologram: While it is able to project the clothing and obscure the wearers body the projections give off heat and do not protect from sensors
- Self Repairing: Built with a protective layer to patch the vehicle in the event of damage. The time table is dependent upon the amount of damage with smaller tears being easier and faster to repair then gashes which can take hours to reform.
- Note: Only the layer can repair not the full plate armor itself the plating can be damaged still but the underlayer of Laminanium can reform and remain.
