Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To develop advanced storage technologies for Sasori after years of use and research
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Permissions: My Subs
  • Primary Source: Advanced Living Module
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Increases Storage Space
STRENGTHS
  • Increases Storage Space: Creating a pocket dimension capable of holding cargo and equipment.
  • Self Repairing: Designed to self repair microstress fractures from vibrations and use before endangering the system.
WEAKNESSES
  • Power: Needing to maintain when it is used a constant power supply that will keep it from losing what is stored in the pocket dimension.
  • Connection: While a pocket dimension could be near limitless the means to put equipment within.
  • Radiation Sickness: The radiation within the violets pocket is dangerous to organic flash and life making people being within it for extended periods of time dangerous. Necrosis of the flesh is the first sign before major problems present themselves.
DESCRIPTION
Crafted by Saotome engineers to increase exponentially with other items the cargo capacity of their ships or facilities. Using similar technology to a hyperdrive they create a tunnel to connect to a pocket dimension. THe connection is then required to be constantly maintained with the power so that it can be used to store nearly limitless amounts. THe major limitations are in terms of size for what is being put in. You can't store an army of droids or smuggle an army or fleet but cargo containers, supplies to turn ships into transports for relief supplies, or giving facilities a means to store extra supplies in case damage is done and to preserve excess supplies. The main dangers of the generators are that it requires the power to be maintained and that is can't hold organic beings, or really be moved outside of a starship that is able to hold the generators and power it. Experimenting with the technology supplie depots and power generators can be hidden away and masked from scanners. Reinforced duraplast is set up to protect the generators from being deactivated with bombs or weapons and losing whatever is stored there.

Over the years that they have been using it and experimenting with it the engineers have changed the approach to using the advanced technologies. Combining it with molecular disruption technologies like they used in the advanced living modules that allow storage of the more vital and improtant components maximizing space for one to use. With the violets upgrades and models changes they have added a powerful internal power source... booster and the ability for it to stay functional and keep anchored for much longer periods of time. The advanced storage capacity it meant for ships and vehicles or facilities to hold exponentially more.... but it can't hold organics as the radiation emitted is dangerous to organic flesh so it cannot transfer people without the sensors appearing picking them up. It would be to dangerous but food and supplies that are in cases with droids to retrieve them are possible.

  • What would happen to any items in this flatspace if the device was destroyed?
  • How much cargo can this device hold in Flatspace? While it mentions nearly limitless, It still means there is a hard quota for where it can end. Can it hold other ships? Just simple weapons? Entire planets? Limitless is such a vague word in this context. Even if you say it can't store armies of droids or star ships, your contradicting your words with the use of "Limitless"
  • Does the device require more power the more it has being held in the pocket demention?

What do you mean by this?

The real flaw I have with getting anywhere near approval for this technology, is that you linked the Hyperpocket generator, and list this with generic "Electronic Components" and Duraplast that has been reinforced. You mention very briefly in the opening sentences of your description that it uses Hyperspace tech, you don't mention anywhere else as to how this would work and/or differ from the usage of the Hyperpocket generator that the submitter of the submission you linked did.

This makes me feel as though you are using the submission as a "rite of passage" to have your own technology approved, when you don't list half of the weaknesses in the section required, and use a bunch of vague terms and uses of words where this could very easily be used where it is not supposed too, or be used, with a lack of any other word coming to mind, A Game breaking way.

It makes me feel like you skimmed over the submission that you linked, took all the good parts from it, skipped or sugar coated the bad parts, and used it for your own company, and slap your company's name and label on it as your own.
