SPECIAL FEATURES

Strengths:
  • Overwhelming Force: Designed as a powerful cutting defensive weapon. When three beams meet it can quickly overwhelm energy shields but it is highly limited within its range.
  • Laminanium: Designed to repair stress and from prrolonged use micro fractures. The repairing capabilities are not huge and it takes more time with the longer the bomblet is used.
Weaknesses:
  • Build up: designed to be used together, the limitations of the scythe on the vegabond carries over. By themselves the lasers are not very strong requiring three to find a proper target.
  • Limited Range: THe lasers are only highly effective within three kilometers around the ship.
  • Limited Coverage: While the small bubbles can be used and scattered across the hull of a ship, it is not a super strong weapon. Only six beams can function at a time reducing its effective coverage.
  • Power: Its power build up is designed to work in series and builds up over time making its use very limited as the charge within the network needs to cycle several times and build itself back up.
  • Self repairing: While it can repair its own micro stress fractures the capabilities can take days to hours depending on how damaged they become from use.
DESCRIPTION
Designed based off of a Qella weapon, a series of tubing throughout a ship to create a superconducting network to build its power. ONce it has enough the lasers can be used and oriented from the different projectors across the hull to focus three one a single point. Becoming stronger the more they are focused. With three beams it can slice into ships and become stronger against energy shields. With six beams able to be created and used it means at the most two targets can be properly selected and doesn't last for long.

The beams stream needs to build itself up by using the conductive network from a small spark in the chamber and then cycling it until it is stronger and stronger. This gives the defensive weapon several glaring weaknesses in its own used such as the limited coverage where the beams can't really protect an entire ship. It will quickly deplete its charge needing to recharge and build itself back up and much like on the vagabond the range of the beams being effective is limited to almost point blank on the hull of the ship.

Sala'dine has worked to improve upon the design... making changes to it that would distribute the power better and allow it to track and focus on targets. The more danger there can be the more they have designed it to be able to work and defend the ship. Her second fleet and Sasori engineers seeing what the vagabond was able to do and trying to get an ounce of its skill for protecting itself.
