DESCRIPTION
Designed during the First Age of the Dynasty from design ques from the Centurion Battlecruiser of the Old Republic, the Sangius Star Destroyer was designed to completely conquer the Manikata system. There were many enemy orbitships still in service and the Dynasty had their eyes on neighbor worlds, thus the creation of a versatile ship capable of taking the Dynasty's forces to other worlds was paramount to their plans.

Kept modern through the years, the Sangius Star Destroyer remains the most common Dynasty capital ship in service, and the oldest. A few are still even stocked with old Kockinao Mark IV rifles, relics of an age long past. More than a few Sangiuses spend their days as dead hulks resting planetside on Manikata, fought over by scavengers and warlords. The first Sangius, from which the class is named after, was destroyed during the Second Age by a Fuil Independent Army attack, and its wreck became the foundation of a few Red Spires dedicated to that of weapons development and research.

Overall, the Sangius is a tested class, but it is rather old and is more or less impractical in the eyes of the modern Dynasty. Though the ship class wouldn't be forgotten easy, replacement warships are being eyed...
