Ruined City of Tr’hal

The city of Tr’hal was once the bright and shining star of the planet, The Yuuzhan Vong used this as their slave processing and Vong-forming manufacturing factory. The slaves, Human and Silentium were taken, processed into Vong-forms, a combination of Vong tech and the Balo Mushrooms were used to create a bio-weapon. Upon death, the Vong-formed slave would release the spores of the mushroom and subsequently, Ixatel Cilona. Tr’hal was a super center of the Vong military, a launching point for their war into the known galaxy. The only problem arose when the slaves revolted. The Silentium gathered a collective intelligence and coaxed the human-formed into acting. The Vong stationed in the city could not handle the weapons they created. The Vong were either destroyed by their inventions or driven off world. The planet was quarantined and left to rot. The status of the city is unknown as of the day the Vong left.

The Ruined City of Hr’tal

On the exact opposite side of the planet, another city with a different goal lay in an equally ruined state. Except on this side of the planet, a species known as the Ghaali were attempting to discover the secret to immortality. By way of combining tech and an attempted replication of Vong Bio-tech, they had succeeded in prolonging life. Although, there was an unexpected contamination during transformation, Balo Mushrooms got into the process. The fungus was the secret, when the formed Ghaali was about to die, the mushroom would reproduce in the body, creating more and more infections. Eventually, the body would mutate, and deform. A similar problem arose in the rank and file of the Ghaali, they began to experience extreme acts of aggression and hysteria. The fungus corrupted the brain, targeted the limbic systems. Damage to that caused anger to spike in every patient. The city erupted into chaos, and the city was ultimately destroyed in the ensuing chaos.

Force Nexus: None

Culture: The planet of Rr’Ghaal was nothing more than a race of alien humanoids who were trying to become the Vong. They spent every chance they got trying to use Vong tech to their own benefit. They were only in the business of slavery and test subjects. The Ghaali were so absorbed by their need to develop the secret to immortality, they never did anything but slave themselves to their work.

The Vong on the other side of the planet were doing what Vong did, pillaging planets for subjects to experiment on and turn into one of their Vong-forms. The culture of the planet after the Revolt of the Formed is unknown.
Technology: Before the collapse of the planet, the technology was sub-par to the Yuuzhan Vong. The Ghaali attempted to replicate Vong-tech, until their demise. The Vong on the other side of the planet had their standard tech.
History: Exact dates are unknown; all record aside from hear-say has been lost to time. The story is of two tales of similar goals by similar species on opposite sides of the planets. It all started as a Vong station to create their Vong-forms from enslaved human and Silentium. What the Vong didn’t know was the planet was inhabited by a race that envied the power the Vong held. The Ghaali, the owners of the planet were scientific parasites, taking what technology they find an attempting to improve on it. The Ghaali were anything if not persistent; as soon as they found out the Vong were turning humans into Vong-forms, the Ghaali thought it was a trial to find a secret into immortality.

Years took their toll on the Vong and Ghaali tests. Slaves came in for decades; there are fields and ravines filled with failed experiments. Then one unlucky day, the next batches of subjects were exposed to the fungal spores of the Balo Mushroom. The spores altered the DNA of the subjects and granted the properties of fungal lifeforms, asexual reproduction, the spores allow the body to stay functioning after death, but the more dead the tissue gets, the more the fungus takes over until it overwhelms the body completely. Eventually the Vong-formed subjects revolted with the help of the subjugated Silentium who were being torn apart to build the Vong-forms. On the Ghaali side, the same spores entered the experiments and created a fungal driven, mindless, anger fueled monsters. The results of both experiments created respective society destruction.

After the Vong were overrun, they left the planet and what was left of the Ghaali and Vong-forms were left to their own devices.

I checked and Ixatel Cilona is not banned nor restricted here on SWRP. So we're good to go! I like your submission and its creepy vibe, good work!
