Round & Round We Go! [CIS Dominion of Dirha]

Dirha Orbit, the Blue Krait

The "silence" of the local space about Dirha was disrupted by the sudden appearance of a vessel from the depths of Hyperspace. Its point of origin was Confederate space and it was a rather notable ship known as the Blue Krait: the personal ship of Colonel Isley Verd and the 117th Clone Legion. After a brief span of leave on Bothawui for the sake of rest and recovery, the Dread Guard was back in action and was tasked with the continuous thwarting of the Imperial Remnant's aspirations. Dirha was a notable refueling world that served a variety of ships, regardless of national affiliation. However, its refueling stations were commandeered by the Imperial Remnant and its workers forced to operate it as little more than slaves. As such, the goals of the operation were simple:
  • Destroy the Secondary Fueling Station, whose explosion would wipe out the Remnant ships in the vicinity.
  • Liberate the workers enslaved at the Main Fueling station.
  • Defeat the Sith Enforcer overseeing the Main Fueling station upon his personal Star Destroyer.
  • Eliminate all Remnant personnel from the Main, Secondary, and Tertiary Fueling Stations.
  • Hijack the Sith's Star Destroyer and pilot it back to Confederate space.
With these goals in mind, the Mandalorian known as Isley Verd ascended the stairs which led to the Bridge of his vessel. Once there, he leaned over the main console and did as typical: summoned the Dread Guard to the bridge with a single announcement. "117th to the Bridge, on the double."

Doc was wandering around the ship when the call came over the coms. Apparently engineers get angry when you explore the insides of a hyperdrive. "Sorry!" He shouted back to the startled techs as he sprinted towards the barracks. They hadn't seen him. Finally time for some action again! He excitedly made his way to his bunk, retrieving his shotgun, pistol, and helmet. His med kit was something he kept on him at all times.

As Doc made his way past the various naval crew members his heart rate continued to climb, he was extremely excited to get back into it once again.

The bridge door opened and Doc took a stand near @[member="Darth Metus"]

"Sir." He said in acknowledgment and with a respectful nod.

Metus was in a sense god to the clones. Given he was solely responsible for the recommission of the new clone fighting force.

After being so late the last few times, Clone designation 325 figured he'd arrive early this time to compensate. Walking down the corridor with a fresh cup of caf(his third one that morning), he smiled at the thought of yet another chance to prove himself. Heck, he was even considering spray painting his entire armor black to more differentiate himself from the others. Was it against regulation? Most likely. However, he wasn't about to let Doc be the only one to break the rules. The newbie wasn't going to outshine Sawtooth in the slightest. He was the best CQC expert in the squad, not some glorified medic. Making his way to the bridge, he nodded at the team's commander in chief. "Morning vod." Vod. A word he'd finally decided to start using. He wasn't very fond of the strange Mandalorian language, even I it was hardwired into him, but he figured there was really no harm in it.

First to arrive was the medical specialist of the Dread Guard: Doc. He, like many within the 117th Clone Legion, was a man of few words; but the respect between the two of them was unspoken anyway. The Mandalorian folded his arms before his chest and regarded the man with a respectful nod before responding with. "At ease, Doc. You did well at Sriluur, just wanted you to know that." As the words escaped his lips, Sawtooth entered the Bridge and addressed him with the Mando'a term for "brother". This fact brought the beginnings of a smile to Isley's lips and he returned the greeting. "Well met, Vod, good to see you." With that said, Isley continued to await the arrival of the remainder of the Dread Guard so that he might begin the briefing.

Jackpot was just checking his weapons, when he heard his commander, often called ''dad'' by the other clones as well as him, call everyone to the bridge. It seemed they had arrived at their destination. Jackpot didn't know where they were yet and he certainly didn't know what exactly was the situation on site. He finished checking his equipment one more time before heading off to the bridge. His Z-6 was perfect as always, his DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System was in the best shape it could ever have been and his DC-15s Sidearm could never have looked better. His armor was still a bit too small for the Clone, but oh well, wacha gonna do about that when there are no Kaminoan tailors around ready to adjust the heavy armor plating of his armor. He arrived at the bridge, without his helmet on. ''Alrighty, I'm here. Give us the details, buir.''

"Su cuy'gar ner'vod! My handsome presence has been summoned once more?"

Galaar's voice virtually boomed across the bridge as he walked onto it, taking long and heavy strides toward Isley and the clones who had already gathered; there was of course, the musky strill wandering at his side. Galaar was in his full armor like most saw him, Mandalorian crest on his chest, guns on belt, back and even a sword. He stopped at a rest beside Sawtooth and gave to the two younger clones a nod and grin. "Good to see you too, ade. And you vod." He uttered and gave Jackpot a heavy slap to the shoulder.

Then came Jackpot, followed by Galaar. In response to the latter of the pair's remarks, the Mandalorian uttered a hearty laugh aloud before settling into silence once more. "We'll have to hold on the details for just a bit longer, Jackpot. The others have yet to arrive." he began, regarding the man with a respectful nod. Then, to Galaar he added, "If you're handsome than I am the Grand Marshal of Sexiness. Jokes aside, good to see you vod." he said, stepping forward in order to give Galaar a harty slap on the shoulder. "I will say this much, everyone, I hope that you've developed a taste for making things explode...Sith things especially."

Doc merely waved back at Galaar's Mando speak. He'd never truly viewed himself as a Mandalorian. He was a Confederate. A Medic. A Soldier. All of those came before the genetics of the long dead man he was cloned from, though there was no debating how superior they were to many beings. Mostly because of the few Mandos he'd actually had to kill, Doc viewed them as a separate entity not related to the CIS in any way.

Now if they were annexed, that would be a different tale.

Though unspoken, the Mandalorian understood his clone "brethren" quite well. After all, he had overseen their creation and got to know them from the moment they drew their first breaths. That was how he knew that Doc did not embrace the Mandalorian culture. He did not speak Mando'a when around his fellow members of the Dread Guard, nor did he observe the Resol'nare as the others did. However, being a Mandalorian was far from being mandatory and Isley respected him nonetheless. Doc was, as all within the 117th, a citizen of the Confederacy and had the freedom to choose what to believe in; this included whether or not to observe Mandalorian culture or not.

However, Isley did not speak a word of this and continued to await the arrival of the others.

Galaar gave Isley a brother squeeze to the arm in Mando fashion as the Templar smacked his shoulder plate. There was a grin across his face, one of pride amongst many other things. "I was sending a holovid back to Kamino actually, detailing the other instructors how to teach the ade how to sing of Darasuum Kote and the Dha Werda. You rmember that Is'ika?" He paused for a moment and reached down to give his Strill a pat on the head before looking around.

"Aye, blowing some Sith up sounds way more fun than just waiting on this ship, or on Tatoonine as we were a day or so ago."

"985, 986..." Canal was doing push ups and started doing them since 5:00 am. He heard the Colonel telling all of his brothers to get their asses to the deck. "Just a sec. 997, 998, 999, 1000," Canal immediately put his armor on, got his knife, shotgun, blaster rifle, and thermal detonators. He quickly got out of his room and took a fast sprint to the deck. He finally arrived and saw his some of his brothers on the deck. The boss is not going to be happy Canal thought. "Sorry, sir. I was finishing doing some 1000 push ups," Canal said and stood firmly in front of the Colonel and saluted him.

"Of course I remember, I taught those songs to you personally Galaar." replied the Mandalorian, returning the squeeze before retracting his arm. He then folded his arms upon his chest and looked about the Bridge; everyone still had not arrived. Nonetheless, he returned his attention to Galaar and said. "I suppose you'll end up teaching whatever kids Phoebe and I have those songs, eh Galaar? Be the perfect uncle?" he joked before responding seriously; "The remains of the Sith Empire are rather bold these days, and as usual we have been tasked with removing their presence. Violently. They've been using Dirha as a refueling station for their ships and I can only suspect their headed for Republic or Confederate space. We will not allow that to happen. Understood?"

This he voiced to all present. Then entered Canal, late with an excuse. Isley sighed audibly and shook his head in disapproval. "You're fortunate that there are others more tardy than you, Canal. Fall in, and forgo the pushups next time."

Jackpot was very happy to see his brother once again, as well as his dog-type thing the name of which always escapes him. It was a funny little thing and Jackpot sometimes wished he had something similar to help him while killing lots of enemies, but that wasn't very important at the moment. Jackpot moved closer to Galaar, but tripped on his weapon which he had accidentally let go of, and fell towards Galaar, gripping his feet in the process and accidentally making him fall and do a kind of ... flip. Jackpot immediately burst out into laughter and stood up again. ''Sorry, vod. Didn't mean to interrupt your handsome presence by making you flip.'' he said before continuing to laugh.

"Yes, sir and sorry once again for being tardy," and went in line with his brothers and stood next to Jackpot. "Where's your big gun Jackpot?" Canal asked cause he remembered that his brother had a huge gun that was probably as tall as him. "Has the colonel said something about the mission so far?" Canal asking his last question to Jackpot

The spectacle which unfolded between Jackpot and Galaar was the source of audible laughter on the part of the Mandalorian, but it came to a swift and abrupt halt; military bearing and all that joy. When it was all said and done, Isley then strode over to the fallen men and gave Jackpot a firm kick in the arse. "Oi, quit dicking around, we've got work to do." he said simply, before returning to his place before the console. Sure, he'd never admit it aloud, but the "tripping" was funny as all get out and the Mandalorian greatly enjoyed the show. However, the time was quickly arriving to begin the briefing.

Doc suppressed a snort at Canal's excuse for being late. He'd been wary of the trooper after his stunt with the gunship during the incident involving the Hutt and had since decided to keep an eye on him whenever possible. Someone who stole a gunship they didn't know much about out of a hangar before crashing it planet side was likely to be injured sometime in the very near future, given their line of work. Especially after the second part of the rumor. The one about jumping out of the gunship instead of landing it.

Na. No way. The Doc resigned his train of thought.

Striding over to the console, the Mandalorian then tapped upon the terminal before him and began the projection. Azure light arose from the console and then manifested in the form of a depiction of the planet; with crimson circles drawn about the three primary fuel depots that the Imperial Remnant had captured. These were the target of the Confederacy's operation. Prior contact with the Dirha leadership had afforded the CIS permission to destroy the second depot, as it could be easily replaced. It was also the depot that the Remnant had elected to park the majority of their vessels upon; and as such had an exceptional sum of resistance.

"Eyes front and center gentlemen."

Canal glanced at Doc and said to him, "Somethin' funny Doc? Cause if there is you better say it to my face before I find," and said with a tone in his voice that he wasn't screwing around.

The harsh words uttered by the "youngest" of the clones caused Isley to turn on his heel. He then strode boldly over to Canal and looked him in the eye; visor to visor. "That is no way to address your superior in rank, let alone your sibling. You will demonstrate proper respect whilst under my command, do you understand?" he said in a no-nonsense tone. Isley did not tolerate internal conflict within his ranks and he always nipped it in the bud...and whilst accomplishing this task, he felt more like a father overlooking his children than a simple colonel.

The Mandalorian's kick hurt a bit, but the armor took most of the hit. ''Ouch, that might have left a dent, buir.'' He said. He was just finishing laughing when he offered his vod a hand. ''Sorry 'bout that, vod, won't happen again.'' He said, but then added in a whisper ''Anytime soon at least.'' He supressed another laugh and instead just chuckled. The whole thing had been funny, but they had to focus on their mission now.
