- Float like Hawk: Fast and extremely maneuverable, there are few fighters that can stay on this gunship's tail.
- Sting Like Hornet: Packing a hard-hitting Solar Ionization Cannon and multiple attack options, a squad of Rodok's can savage a target.
- Maneuverability Over Defense: The Rodok relies on pilot skill and maneuverability to avoid taking hits over tanking through them.
An exceptionally small and agile gunship thanks to its variable geometry engines and high output generator. In an atmosphere the Rodok becomes even more dangerous where its multiple maneuvering vanes and control surfaces can push against the air to further enhance its maneuvering against other ships and attacks. The short wings can even provide positive lift should repulsors fail. Tasks are divided between a pilot and gunner, though either may take over any roll allowing the pilot to set up an attack, the gunner to prepare ordinance or another weapon, and the pilot to trigger it at the perfect moment.
For offense, the Rodok carries a mix of missiles on external racks that can be loaded with a wide variety of ordinance, a solar ionization cannon for direct attacks, and a PGEM Blast-Spray laser turret to clear out infantry, incoming missiles, and fighters, even out of the Rodok's rear arc. A Priddy bomblet generator further provides a bombing capability without incurring munitions cost or mass to slow the gunship.
To reduce costs, the heaviest piece of armoring runs under the cockpit to wrap from behind the pilot’s seat to forward of the gunner leaving the rest of the gunship a lightweight skin of AlloyPlast. Critical components are also protected in a similar manner, but crew often fly in full vac-rated pilot suits in combat than trust the alloy sheeting and light protection fitted to the Rodok. Various other cost saving measures were taken as well, such as having the ordinance loaded onto racks instead of internal launchers or picking previous-gen support equipment to offset the expense of the power generator and weapons where it wouldn’t affect combat capability. This had a knock-on effect of reducing maintenance and part costs in addition to unit price.
