RIP Christopher Lee

Just heard the news that the great Christopher Lee died on Sunday. I was hoping to meet him in the next few years as I am helping to make a movie that he said he'd come back from the grave if he had to in order to play the part. He told my friend not to worry, as he had done that many times before. I wanted to chat to him about heavy metal and his fascination with evil. He will be sorely missed.

Here's a video of Christopher singing a ballad with one of his favourite epic metal bands. I have the album and bought it just because he was in it.

Such a sad, sad day :(

He served in the Royal Air Force during World War II.

He was knighted by the Queen of England.

He's played a Bond villain, Count Dracula, Saruman in the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit trilogies, and of course Count Dooku in the Star Wars prequels.

He loved heavy metal and sang opera.

This man lived to be 93 years old. There is justice in the world, after all. :)

And don't forget his iconic role of King Haggard in The Last Unicorn. He wanted to reprise the role for the live action version of the film as he loved the character. Now the rest of the screening tour, film and broadway musical will be dedicated to him. We hope that he appreciates it.
