  • Rendered inert in force void or null fields
DESCRIPTION
The story of Darth Hedrak the Mistaken is not a long one, but it is an old one. Raised and trained on Korriban well before the menace of the Gulag Plague ravaged the galaxy, Hedrak was a true Sith of pure blood destined for great things. Headstrong and emotionally driven, Hedrak found himself conscripted into the Dark Sith Order as an Acolyte and fought under the leadership of then Sith Masters Lady Silencia and Korran Halcyon. He rose quickly through the ranks, as had been expected of him, and was Knighted at the young and foolhardy age of 17. He earned himself a place among the lofty and honored warriors, and that was about where his career plateaued.

Hedrak was a firm believer in the Rule of Two, and in finding himself as one of Silencia's many students did enact his will upon his fellow pupils. He was systematic in eradicating what he perceived to be useless bodies in order to prove himself mighty and worthy of taking his Master's place. While he could not be faulted for his ambitions, Hedrak was easily lead astray. He met his swift and arguably anticlimactic end in the silence of his Master's hall, at the tip of her lightsaber. To serve as an example to others for his stupidity, Silencia denied his spirit the ability to become one with the Force, and instead trapped it inside a small soulstone crystal, of which she had fashioned into a bronzium and gold ring to wear on display when she felt new and aspiring Acolytes needed help finding their place.

She would tell them the story of Darth Hedrak the Mistaken while turning the ring gently around her finger.

The ring fell into disuse shortly after the disbanding of the Dark Sith Order, and sat in a jewelry case for all the hundreds of years following that. Later, after Silencia's final passing, her unique inventory of Force artifacts-a-plenty would find their way into her son's possession. Most of which remained locked away, but not Darth Hedrak's ring. No, that sat in a case with all manner of other trivial Force trinkets found within the shops of Marrow & Illskins until such a time that its otherwise unremarkable existence could prove useful, or fashionable, to someone.
