  • Unit Name: Ri Wodasir | The Martyrs
  • Affiliation:
    • Y'sanne Stradd
    • Heathen Priesthood [ Directly, summoners and controllers ]
    • Dark Empire | Formerly: Brotherhood of the Maw [ Indirectly ]
      • NB: The New Sith Order, or other Sith or any other Dark Side cults (for example Knight of Ren, Sorcerer of Rhand etc.), cannot summon these demons/units, as only members of the Heathen Priesthood know the ritual and the spell. Also, since these are believing souls, they belong only to the church and religion.
  • Classification: Infantry, Shock Troopers.
  • Description: Ri Wodasir are a rather strange group whose appearance is quite unsettling. If one watches them in the Force, these creatures/demons are so monstrous that even the Darksiders might call them abomination. Each individual is made up of at least half a dozen or more different souls, mutilated, tortured souls, most of which were eaten by the Avatars in the Netherworld, and the remnant were shaped into different creatures. A vile recycling.

They have essentially lost their human form and can have many different forms, which they take when they cross over into Realspace, because they have to be summoned, because these beings are more than simply resurrected undead. The majority are humanoid, but there are other monsters among them. They usually wear poor quality armour, which is often reinforced or replaced with spikes. Some people are missing limbs or have more than one. Their weapons are similar to those used by the Maw.

Being tortured, mutilated soul remnants, they are all insane and would attack anyone, even their own units, if they are not controlled by the Heathen Priests. At first glance, it seems that there are serious problems with these creatures, they look even more twisted than the Maw's other units. They never get tired, they don't feel anything, they fight relentlessly, and with their appearance and actions they bring fear and terror to the battlefield where they appear.

It is especially ironic that these martyrs are former warriors of the Maw, or those who were slaughtered by the Maw, or who died during the time when the Priests or the Taskmaster tried to break them and form them into marauders.

  • Unit Size: Large
  • Unit Availability: Common
  • Unit Experience: Trained
  • Equipment:
  • Combat Function: Ri Wodasir is a team that is not a problem to lose at all, but they can strike fear into the enemy ranks with their appearance and screams. They are the infantry and are sent to fight in the front line. With their large numbers, they can rush the enemy, and with their weapons and abilities, they can break the enemy. Where this group is used, they are the first wave ahead of other marauders. This was partly necessary because the Maw lost a large number of marauders on and after Tython. Well, this group is partly the people who died there. However, in their case, care must be taken that they are constantly under the control of the Heathen Priests, otherwise they will kill everyone in their madness. In any case, they are perfect cannon fodder alongside the Moon Children and Marauder Aspirants, just with much better combat experience than the other two groups.
  • Special Abilities: non-Force based scream | it's similar to Force Scream, but not quite like it, it mostly means for martyrs that they can scream in a sharp and high pitched voice, the power of which adds up the more people do it. With this, they can cause pain to others, and glass can explode if the scream hits a certain frequency. It can rupture eardrums and cause pain from other high-pitched sounds, but it's just screaming, nothing supernatural.

  • Big Number: Ri Wodasir can be summoned from the Netherworld in large numbers, this large number means hundreds or even thousands of soldiers. However, the number also depends on the power of the Heathen Priest/Priestess. Although, they are not too difficult to control, so they can even be used as a main army against the enemy. Although they are not very trained, their large numbers can partially compensate and balance this.
  • Scream: They have a special ability, the tortured souls constantly scream in their pain and agony. This can cause headaches, earaches and other pains for those who hear it. Even the eardrum can rupture and glass can break if the sound hits a certain frequency.
  • Fearless: Not only do they not know fear, but they don't really know any other hinderly emotion either. They are driven and controlled by rage, anger and hatred, as well as by their pain. They want nothing more than to kill and destroy, to destroy everything and everyone, or to kill them so that new souls can reach the Avatars, to feed them and create new martyrs.

  • Control: It is essentially impossible to replace this unit in combat. Because the martyrs need constant control and supervision, because without it they would attack and kill their own companions and each other. They could easily lose control in combat, so the priest or priestess should focus on that. If one wanted to summon reinforcements, one would have to set them free and they would start lunatic amok. Control and ritual do not work at the same time.
  • Scream: The scream is just a scream, nothing supernatural. This ability is completely ineffective against anyone who wears a helmet or has an implant that can filter out unpleasant noises or not hear what is happening in the outside world.
  • Destroying: It doesn't matter if they are demons or undead, these creatures in Realspace are just like humans. They are just as vulnerable. Although they don't bleed, they are injured just like anyone else. Because of the light armour, it is easy to destroy their bodies and then they die. As undead/demons, Light Side abilities do more damage to them and necromancy can also banish them back to the Netherworld.

It is probably a well-known fact, now during the long war, that the Mawite warriors, the Marauders, are never afraid in battle, but fearlessly attack anyone, no matter what the enemy is. The reason for this is that they are all members of the Dark Three, i.e. the religion of the Avatars, which is led by the Heathen Priesthood. According to religion, paradise awaits fallen soldiers after death, and the more people they kill, the more souls they send to the Avatars, the better their place in paradise, because with this they help the Avatars to reach the Galaxy-to-come.

All of this is a lie of course. No Paradise awaits the fallen warriors, but rather the same fate awaits them as any other unfortunates they send to the Avatars. The three cosmic horrors, Force Entities known to the world only as War, Death and Rebirth, are constantly hungry and always seeking souls to consume. The Valkyrja and the Children of Ashla are aware of their atrocities, which is why they try to steal as many souls as possible from them.

However, the Avatars' cruelty does not end with eating souls. By now, countless, uncountable souls have come down to them. Because Avatars do not completely destroy souls, remnants and parts of unfortunate souls remain, which were later recycled. The remains were used to create members of a new kind of army. They were the Ri Wodasir aka The Martyrs. Each warrior, each such creature, consists of at least a dozen soul remnants.

There are more fortunate ones, who are given the attention of the Avatars during their lifetime; they are in a much better condition because they will be the ones leading the army. Since the three Avatars were extremely angry at the loss of The Mongrel The Mongrel 's soul, it can be assumed that the legendary warlord was intended to command these units. If he served well in life, do so in death. But the man died free as Asher Kala'myr, for his wife (Mercy/ Keilara Kala'myr Keilara Kala'myr ) saved him, for ripped his soul from the cycle and thanks to Eina L'lerim-Vandiir Eina L'lerim-Vandiir he is safe but the Avatars want him back. Another such leader would probably be Thomas Barran Thomas Barran who is Rebirth's champion currently.

These Martyrs have the knowledge they have in life, so they are somewhat more skilled than Moon Children and Marauder Aspirants,, and can be an effective unit due to their large numbers.

The Priesthood, of course, lies about their true identity, they keep silent about the fact that these beings also contain the souls of former Marauders. They say, they spread that the Ri Wodasir were born of the heretics who were killed by the marauders or died before they could honour or worship the Avars. They were the heretics once, now faithful and loyal servants of the Avatars. This is a kind of punishment for them, and if they were unable to do it in their lifetime, they will serve the true cause of the Dark Three in their death.

All of the Ri Wodasir are insane, which is no surprise since they were literally built from different torn souls. They scream constantly in their pain and agony. If someone in the Force looks at them, they can see the various mutilated, tortured souls locked in their bodies, easily seeing what they are or how they came to be. Someone has done the most cruel and unnatural thing possible. Created these "things". In the Netherworld, of course, this can happen by itself, without intervention as well. But still, it is unnatural and terrible.

They were first summoned by Y'sanne Stradd during the destruction of Panatha, where she herself developed and invented the magic spell that allowed her to do so. She firmly believes that the visions and dreams were sent to her by the Dark Three, who want to help the Heathen Priesthood return and regain their rightful position. Maybe it was true, maybe not. One doesn't know it, and certainly not in the case of a madman.

In any case, only the Priesthood already knows the magic and can send these units to fight against the enemies of the Maw and the Avatars, so that afterwards the slain soul can continue to feed the three Avatars, and another Ri Wodasir units can be made from the remains and to bring to life this twisted and vile unit, group to the glory of Avatars.

And unbeknownst to the Galaxy or the believers, this is already part of the Paradise and Galaxy-to-come that the Mawite marauders craved so much…

HELL, nothing else. The true horror of the Dark Three!
