Powerful force user - She trained under a powerful master, learning his secrets before killing him and taking his titles and lands. She knows many powers and can use them efficiently.
Master of Capture and Interrogation – The source of these talents has now thankfully been put in the past, but she has never lost her skills, tracking people capturing them safely and breaking them comes as second nature to the Zygerrian woman.
Excellent Duellist - She is an expert with the lightsaber and the whip, using both to good effect in melee combat.
Powers rooted in darkness – Her most powerful abilities are rooted in darkness and she must use them sparingly, if at all if she ever hopes to find redemption in the force.
Cultural programming - She had been brought but believing that there is a pecking order and the strong should control the weak. This is a deep seated belief that is hard to remove, despite her intentions to redeem herself.
Anger management - Whilst she has left her old ways behind and finally purified her crystal, who she was still once creeps through and she can sometimes have more hot blooded temper than is appropriate.
BIOGRAPHY:
Rhiza was born into a noble house and led a pampered life, very uninteresting, very happy. At 14 she was married in to another noble household, her husband was much her senior and, knowing that she was force sensitive, fostered it. Their relationship was tempestuous, flipping back between raw passion and near hatred for each other. What she didn't know is that this man was a Sith Lord and he was feeding her darkness, it was 10 years of this and her power grew and grew.
On her 24th birthday she came home to find her house in Ash, everything she knew and love burned to Ash. All she had was a note from her husband that she would never see their son again. She did not know if that meant he had burned or had been taken but it broke her down, her eyes yellowed and she swore to find him.
It took nearly a year for her to find him.and confront him, he was staying not far from her and watching her every pain. Her son was long gone, he assured her that he alive and now called someone else mother. She grabbed her husband by the throat. He finally confessed, with a smile on his face that he was Sith and now she had passed his test, she was too. She ignited the lightsaber she had constructed in secret and plunged it through her cruel husband's heart "No, just me" she unceremoniously dumped his corpse in a river and went home.
That evening he was found and things were set in motion to allow his grieving widow to take control of his slave businesses. Working under the Sith Empire she flourished over the next five years until one morning she ran into a young male Zygerrian whilst out walking. He was happy, he was healthy and beautiful, now eight years old and playing with his assumed parents. Rhiza wanted to hold him but she immediately knew what a terrible mother she would be in her current state. This realisation broke her once again and she fell in tears. She thought of all those she had killed or otherwise harmed and couldn't look her own son in the eyes.
She would redeem herself for him, she had never asked to be Sith, that had been forced upon her when she was barely a teen, and she hated them for it, she could have had a loving family, a thriving slave market and a noble retirement, but instead she was alone and in pain.
When the Ashlans came to Zygerria, many of the other Zygerrians fled, but not Rhiza. She approached them, offering her services to help them hunt down other Sith on the planet. She justified it to herself as her simply bowing to the new strength on her planet, but she needed to make amends for her son's sake. He could never know the monster his mother had become. Her slaving business has been sold, she had taken half of the proceeds herself and gifted the rest to her son's adopted parents anonymously.
Rhiza worked for a time as an Ashlan Juror and did well in the role, finally managing to put her past behind her and purify her previously bled light saber. But then came the collapse of the Ashlan Crusade and with it everything that she had tried to build. She felt lost again and needed a new start, she crossed the galaxy, passing through the NJO territory wanted to go further, she felt the NJO would always see her as an ex-ashlan and nothing more. Finally settling on the Rimward Jedi Coalition, surrounded by other outcasts and reformed character she felt at home. At this smaller Jedi temple there was more peace for her to try and stay towards the light, and she felt that here she could be of importance to the galaxy.
She can often be found with a Zeltron woman, a slave that she freed on Zygerria several years ago. She had nowhere to go, so decided to join the Zygerrian on her travels freeing more slaves and defeating criminal elements. She turned out to be force sensitive and although had no interest in formally becoming a Jedi, has taken training to use her talents from Rhiza.
