- Force-Imbued: The sword was created using the Force in an exhausting process, making it near indestructible, ever sharpe and toned to the wielder.
- Cutting Edge: The Rex Imperator is capable of cutting through almost everything without major effort, thanking it to its Force imbued nature used in its forging.
- Adamant Blade: The weapon is forged of a metal which is already very strong, but due to the application of the Force, the weapon became resistant to most damage and dulling.
- Awareness: With the usage of a Lorrdian gemstone, Belisarius is aided in his combat by a heightened senses and awareness in combat.
- Difficult To Master: The Rex Imperator is a greatsword, it has a very long blade and needs high and very specific skill to master and use fluently and efficiently.

Jedi Battlemaster Utran was by the time of the Battle of Krayiss II a veteran and battle tested warrior and duelist, excelling at exotic weapons other than the normal lightsaber, especially using classical blades. As part of the frontline Dominion commanders, he was present in the devastating campaign on Krayiss II.
Following the crushing defeat of the Dominion and his abandoning of the Jedi Way, he returned to the temple and make his way to the archives, overwhelming the temple guards and taking an ancient relic, ingots of Madog Steel and disappears for a week.
Upon return, he moved to the Jedi temple he was living and serving in for decades, Jedi and Guards appearing to arrest him for the murder of the temple guards, but he was not as a conversation occured between the team which was to arrest him. The words are not known, only what followed.
Utran proclaimed to be called Belisarius Vactovion from now on, threw his lightsaber to the feet of the Jedi and turned around to join arms with Darth Tacitus.
The sword forged is more than capable to resist any lightsaber and with the pure Force embedded into it, it is capable of cutting through nearly everything while resisting everything except for the most severe and unnatural damages as well as the most powerful weapons.
