Description: Belisarius is by definition more than a true Valkyri, an exceptional specimen if you do not know his background and history of operations, alterations and enhancements he went through. His mothers genes dominating, he was growing tall and muscular, brute even, before he submitted himself to his own funded and desinged improvements. He got the best of two species through the love of his parents, a mixture of Aelvar and Valkyri attributes which give him certain aptitudes in strength, agility, senses and of course, age.

Personality: The man called Belisarius has a very diverse and versatile personality. His most distinguished and noticeable trait is his sense of duty, he is absolutely devoted to the goals and vision of the Eternal Empire and its first Emperor. This sense of duty extends beyond any morales or values and he does everything to maintain the course. He is ruthless, calculating but does not hesitate to sit and drink with his soldiers and comrades, fully aware that he might send them into their death the next day or even hour. Vactovion sees the greater picture and only that, he believes that sacrifices have to be made to achieve it, anywhere, anyhow, anytime.

Beliefs and Philosophy: Always a warrior at heart, a duellist and then a soldier, Belisarius was always dealing in hard truths, in tough choices and favours direct action over the covert one. More than one political enemy already took this for a lack of cunning and deception, just to end up on a wrong end of a blade or firing squad. He is a supporter of hard power, the display of strength and unity, an iron fist rule and more than anything, the ideal of the Wardens of the Shroud. As a fallen Jedi, Belisarius' change of heart and mind could not have been more drastical and he objects both Light and Dark side organisations and philosophies.

He is on a crusade to exterminate and eradicate all of what is poisoned and tainted by the Force, good or ill, it is all abominable in his eyes. He knows of the fact that he is trying push water uphill with bare hands, but the fact makes him ever more fierce and devoted, driving him forward.

Duellist: Belisarius is probably one of the finest duelists ever born, his abilities with a sword are extreme. He handles blades with unparalleled lethality and ability, finding the most marginal weakness in the defence of any enemy to claim victory.

Relentless: Vactovion is known to be a man of pure offensive, of unyielding nature and eternal drive, he pushes forward, further than reason sometimes would suggest, accepting losses to claim victory where others see it impossible. His will is tied to his sense of loyalty and duty, never wavering.

Physical Prowess: Due to his impressive improvements plus his genetical heritage, Belisarius is a sight to behold, muscular and huge. His bulkiness is often misjudged as being clumsy or slow, yet he has proven time and time again to handle his size exceptionally well and with sharpened reflexes and an agility which would make his father proud, it contributes to a physical masterpiece of flesh and bones.

Inspiring Champion: The half-Valkyri is blessed with a soul which burns hotter than many suns, and he shares it. He does not lead from the safety of a HQ or the bridge of a ship, Belisarius leads from the front, pushes his soldiers forward by leading by example. In battle he is a beacon for soldiers to rally to, a standard which has written the tenets of the Eternal Empire written on it. He forges duty, loyalty and stubborness into a virtue.

Growing Up on Midvinter
The Northmark on Midvinter was a harsh and unforgiving region, its climate dictating a hard and tough life to all its inhabitants. Lesser people would choose to escape this frozen nightmare, but the Valkyri are not lesser people and are blossoming in the most difficult of life situations. Clan Hallit is a very small clan in the North of Norvegr-Fen, inhabiting a few longhouses and known for its fierce, but enlightened warrior culture.

The boy who would later be known as Belisarius, grew up here, as a member of the clan, but equally as an outsider. His mother had taken an Aelvar as husband which she had met during a raid, a famous shield-maiden bringing home a nimble forester. It was topic of much debate at the beginning, of many comments and insults. But all were silenced, either by Sigurd herself or by her husband, Eren. Both formidable warriors, they raised their son to be one of the Valkyri, not much was expected of him, being a hlafbred and the other kids saw him as an oddity. Not because they understood the idea of a halfbred, but because their parenets whispered nonsensical remarks. Yet children are usually smarter than their adult relatives and sooner than later, the young boy was playing, fighting and pranking just as any other child. From the days he could walk, he showed great promise as a warrior, being very eager and teachable as his father would remark, maintaining the muscles of his mothers race and the dexterity of his father origins. He was soon excelling all the other children in his abilities and it would further increase. It was obvious that he inherited a Force connection from his father and through a long way of connections, and under the protest of his mother, he was sent with a trader to the next Jedi planet.

Meeting Darth Tacitus

Joining the Cause
The fateful events following the creation of Rex Imperator, led Belisarius to become one of the frontline leaders of the Shrouded Republic, helping to forge the early Ultranaut Corps and its sub-branches into a formidable fighting force as well as forging close bonds with its soldiers during drills and manoeuvres. He was becoming the epitome of a frontline commander and leader.

Taking control of the 42nd Ultranaut Regiment as its first Colonel, Vactovion was leading it into the Nibelungen Campaign, spearheading the troops and never backing down from personal action. His black sword held high, he was usually leading the Aurek-Company into the deepest thick of it and coming out on top. Not only because of personal leadership and sacrifice, but sound tactical evaluation and decisions.

The 42nd along with the 28th soon became one of the most distinguished Regiments in the Shrouded Republic, Ancient Eye and even beyond, fierce veterans which were living up to the highest standards. The former would, adapting to their commander, adopt a black armor scheme and take up the name of Black Legion.

In the many campaigns that followed, Bel always served as distinguished frontline commander, leading the 42nd and later bigger formations into battle as he rose through the ranks. Noteworthy commands were during the Tund Campaign, the Tatooine campaign and later the Dredd campaign, the 42nd always at his side.

The Eternal Empire
When the Ancient Eye crumbled, the Shrouded Republic rose from its ashes as the Eternal Empire and proceeded with its march forward, Darth Tacitus unwavering by the events and leading his people from battlefield to battlefield, in an exodus which finally came to a hold on the world of Nelvaan in Confederate space.

Campaigns alongside the Confederacy followed, gathering strength, ressources and manpower. The plan of the Eternal Emperor was bigger, the ideal was beyond what they could ever achieve as an extension of the Confederacy. Belisarius, by now a Knight Warden, was still serving primarily as military commander, his service distinguished and devoted.

He soaked the teachings of the Wardens like a sponge at the beginning, keeping his niveau of Force training and understanding. Dedicating himself to the ideology and showing strong opposition to Sith but especially Jedi. It even became difficult for him to fight alongside them, it still is. He would oppose their narrow-minded views and it would lead more than once to a clash and even duels as he sought to drive the Force fanatics off from his theatre.
