ADVANCED SYSTEMS & FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Highly Automated: Combining the safe and secure ZEUS mk II droid brain with easily operated systems and you get a ship which needs less of an operational crew compared to other ships of its size and can thus focus more of its on board personel to other tasks such as general repairs, military use, etc. The automated nature of the ship also allows for remote control functions, better reliability when it comes to following and processing orders and in general a higher efficiency over the entire line.
  • Extremely Carrying capacity: As one of the few in its class to boast such a large hangar space, the Revenant can truly be proud. It's capacity does not end there though, asz it has docking clamps for at least two frigates underneath its belly, allowing for this ship to be truly the center of any small fleet. Perfect for sector patrols and star system security.
  • High Tech Hyper drive: Though it lacks the general speed and maneuvrability to combat other ships of its size, the Revenant II class can boast one of the most capable hyperdrive systems currently on the market, allowing for rapid hyperspace maneuvres and precise hyperspace jumps and shimmers.
WEAKNESSES
  • Highly Automated: Automation comes at a cost, with it in this case being a higher succeptibility to EMP and ION weaponry compared to non-fully automated ships. In case of serious, direct hits with such weapons, the Droid brain is forced to reboot and restart all systems seperately if there was no structural or operational damage. Should the droid brain itself be hit, this ship is like a sitting duck in a warzone.
  • Lacking in Firepower: Though it does possess enough firepower to be able to fend off smaller ships, the Revenant relies on its high defenses to shrug off most damage, alas it is highly unlikely to go into a one on one with other star destroyers without utilizing its starfighters and support ships.
  • Very low mobility: Due to its sheer weight and size, the fact that the ship had to focus mainly on utilizing as much space as possible for hangar bays and transport capacity, this left little to no space for advanced systems to allow this ship better maneuvrability and MGLT speed, yet again forcing this ship to rely mainly on its cargo rather than itself for its duties and role within a fleet.
DESCRIPTION
After the loss of the Eriadu Manufacturing shipyards, N&Z decided to update some of the designs they had which had been originally built at that site. One of these designs was the original Revenant Star Carrier. By tranferring the design and the plant to Xa fel, the next logical step was to update said design to be conform the new norms and standards of the company, while utilizing more of the company's roster of materials and technological capabilities to yet again be at the forefront of the shipbuilding business.

One of the first changes was the fact that rather than the old reactors, the new revenant design utilized the latest F.A.R. reactors, granting a significant boost in it's operational capacities and further allowing the installment of the most capable hyperdrive in the company's roster: the NZ OS-HD1, which has already been described as one of the galaxy's most competent and frightfully effective hyperdrives, allowing for greater hyperspace maneuvres, speeds and tactical efficiency compared to the older model.

Other changes to the design came in the form of the chosen materials for the building process, with the use of Ersteel 1333 and the latest iteration of the Infinium compound, Infinium 013158 to shield the reactors, droid core and engine pods both to keep the harmful radiation in and potentially damaging energy out. There is also the added new sensory array in the form of the NZ SAP-1A, which utilizes its own droid brain to process all information and has a seperate shielding of its own to safeguard it even more than usual, a simple, yet effective solution for mistakes and errors in the long history of shipbuilding.

Lastly, the ship now utilizes the ZEUS Mk II iteration of the company's known droid brain line up, allowing for better performance and superior reliability on all fronts, making the Revenant II-class star carrier all the more efficient and effective when it comes to performing its duties as a carrier and backbone to any proper naval fleet.
