Excitement steadily grew amongst the EE Soldiers, it seems they hadn't had a good fight in ages. Well Marcus had had too many. He did not share their excitement. Slowly and cautiously, he pulled two of his sabers to his hands with the force, the sound of his breathing magnified by his mask. He began moving up in the woods, cautiously glancing around. "Sergeant, Corporal, report in." He waited for a response, but he found none.

Marcus left the group, ordering them to halt, as he went to investigate. As he ventured into the woods, he heard noise from behind, coming from the group. He hastened his pace, more tense than ever. It was only when the explosions went off, did he find the two dead bodies of Sergeant Dixon and Corporal Haxon. The soldiers transmission went over the comms before being abruptly halted. More explosions.

"Pirates in the area! Shoot on sight. I repeat hostiles in the area!." He glanced back to the bodies to see if he could find anything, but no, the only thing he found was a dead cut across one of the bodies. Pirates would burn for this. Just then, he spotted something he missed. A symbol etched into one of the mens armour. A tunroth skull. He'd heard of these pirates, he knew who was behind this.

Marcus ran back, promising to bury the bodies later. As he reached the convoy, he was met by madness.

As sun as the Inquisitor was out of sight a number of red humanoid entered the Miraluka sight.

"Three target at 5!"
his teammates reacted immediately, shooting blindly to the trees, a soft grunt reached Vanwe ears, one hit at least, they were surrounded, this ravagers have had hours to prepare an ambush on any research or recovery mission, it was an oversight from everyone not to take this idea in consideration.
The soldiers of the Inquisitor had already engaged some targets, tried to communicate with the Inquisitor that had run off to the second team, in seemed no response or communication was available.
"The enemy have dampening equip, don't rely on any technological assistance, he was speaking only to his comrades as the Imperial soldiers must have well trained protocols.
With the help of two companions they moved the hovercraft to create some protections to one side, he was hoping the Imperial beast were coming back to attack the ambushers.

"Other two enemies approaching at 9"

The enemies were shooting to suppress, not to kill they have the numbers to overrun them, so they were stalling for something, else to happen.
He wasn't sure if any of his blasts had hit, but he always had unusually good aim, all thanks to the force, at least that was what the trainers always said.

Marcus leaped into the fray, his two lightsabers igniting as he slid past two of the pirates whos legs he instantly severed. He launched his lightsaber at the third, and surely enough, his head came rolling off. As he scanned his surroundings, he noticed the soldiers pinned down by the hovercraft. One of his own shot one of the remaining pirates dead, and the other, was killed by none other than the Miralukan. There were most likely more in the area, so he ran to cover beside the soldiers.

"We're being attacked by Dusate Pirates, I've only heard about them, but from what I hear, they've most likely killed off the survivors." He sighed, it could be viewed two ways, at least that was a loose end crossed off. Now he needed to decide what to do moving forward. "If your not willing to continue leave, me and my men are going to take back the ship, we can not loose that shipment to pirates." As another pirate charged through the woods he let loose a blast of electricity at the savage, and he fell with a thud. "More pirates are on the way, we have to hurry."

It was a vision of magic, the lights shined bright as the Inquisitor moved faster than he ever has seen someone move, with precision and fluidity he disabled almost every attacker.
The notion of other pirates, as the Inquisitor called them was exciting and frighting at the same time. He hadn't heard of this specific group of pirates, but he had heard of pirates and how ruthless they could be when attacking. So his other three companions were dead, included Harron, that was a good news, sad for the other two idiots.

"We cannot return Inquisitor, if we abandon the mission it is likely we end up in some work camp" that was true, they were sent to be expendable.

"I prefer taking my chances against pirates, than being deemed unworthy of the Eternal army Lord Inquisitor, just told us what to do" while he was speaking some blurred figures appeared in his line of vision.

"Another two groups, approaching from the east and south, not more than seven pirates"

There were only two smaller shuttles of pirates, he didn't know how packed pirates travelled, but there could not been many of them, the fact that they were throwing men at them only means they were buying time, possibly for extraction of cargo on the crashed ship.

As Marcus listened to the soldiers making up their mind on staying, he felt a tiny ounce of sympathy for them, by the end of the day, they would most likely be dead, yet here they were fighting on for their people. Of course, Marcus would feel little guilt when they were killed off.

"All right, let's head north, go around the attacking groups, and head to the cargo ship. Hopefully, it'll take a while for the pirates to circle back, we must get that cargo. Be wary though, some of the cargo is highly explosive. No missiles or grenades."

With that, the group rushed into the woods, heading north and plunging further into the wild. Without anyone looking, he took out his comm link and hit a button, hoping the signal got through. With a nod from Marcus to the Lieutenant Commander, the 'Reavers,' as Marcus's men were known, moved behind the soldiers, just to be prepared.

Vanwe took charge of his three remaining companions, the pirates trying to circle them were still moving towards their previous location, in this conditions he had the advantage, no tree would impair is vision, he didn't like to be the front line of the trip to the ship, but it was the strategical move.

"Prepare smoke bombs, and follow my instructions" the young whispered to his men, that would blind the enemy at least those not equipped with thermal visor or similar gadgets, it was improbable, but a possibility.

For once they moved quickly, with the risks of death every muscle was tense and prepared to spring in action, and so it was, as soon as Vanwe spotted a strange object ahead he ordered Greayson to shot at it, he was the only one armed witha grapeshot like blaster, it was a mine, and as soon at it exploded a couple more were detonated by the explosion blast, he heard shouting not far ahead. And the blaster begun. taking cover behind trees they were pinned in position, at least twelve enemies.

"Don't take risks, but shot back, keep their attention onto us!"

His comrades were terrified, but they maintain discipline, crouched behind large threes and blindly returning fire, Vanwe was trying to be more accurate, but the rate of fire didn't allowed him to take aim and so in 20 seconds of constant fire only one enemy was down.

Marcus raced past the oncoming fire, leaving the soldiers behind, his men could handle themselves, as for the Eternal Empire folk? He could care less. His only goal was to find the shipment. As he left the area he let loose a bolt of electricity which travelled through pirates, killing them. Come on shipment, where are you. He knew he was close, he just needed to make sure no one got a hold of it.
