Véspera sat in front of a sleek grey wall in the hangar bay. Though cloaked in dark robes, it was easy to make out her slight frame, thin from youth yet carrying strength, allowing her to go mostly unnoticed in the crowd, and one of the reasons why she had been chosen for this assignment. And, like her lineage, it was a privilege. At least, she reminded herself as much, whenever her gut clenched or she felt her hands become clammy.
Adversity, and heading toward danger wasn’t what caused her anxiety, there was always risk involved, and in fact, she loved the prospect of a good challenge. She was capable, and Véspera had faith in her abilities, but now it was time to prove her usefulness to their Supreme Leader.
She adjusted where she sat then straightened her spine, her robes rustling softly with her subtle movement. Véspera gave a sidelong glance for any signs of the man she’d contacted to aid her on this mission, [member="Itaska Relens"], feeling impatient.
The venture was of paramount importance for her and she’d been selective in who she’d chosen for the task on the journey ahead. She didn’t want to waste time on second-class for this quest, the type she was after needed to be a first-class kind of dangerous, and Véspera felt confident with the skills, wisdom, and experience that Itsaka offered. She was sure that her feelings were correct with this decision, and it would make her task that much easier.
