Rekindling an Alliance (Silver Jedi/Tygaran Alliance)

rPTkr9D.jpg

In her efforts to continue improving the Silver Order's standing within the galaxy, Arisa had been working hard to reach out to former allies who had felt burned by some of the policies of her predecessors. One of the most important, in her eyes, being the Tygaran Alliance. With their break from the Silvers, they had lost out on a lot of fighting capability, that which Arisa and some other military planners had only now managed to recover. And not too soon, as the Sith were active again in the North.

Moreover, they had lost some good friends. Arisa hadn't been too involved with the
Tygarans as she was still with the Republic at the time, but from what she had seen of them in some past operations like at Ruusan, they seemed to be like decent folks. As they were both engaging the First Order together through the Galactic Alliance, it didn't make much sense not to at least start talking as she was rubbing shoulders with them again in battle.

The meeting was to be held in Izrul upon her home planet of
Kiribi, which would provide a safe and friendly neutral space for both parties to speak. It would be hosted in the building once used as a local office for Kiribian Senators while the KSU was still part of the old Republic.

In an ideal scenario, the new commander of the Antarian Rangers looked to reintegrate the Tygaran military, but she would be content with a standard alliance like what the Silver Jedi had with the Iron Empire. Her other objective was to regain access to
Firemane's vast catalog of weapon systems as the Silver Jedi's partnership with Sasori now looked shaky.

[member="Ala Crescent"], the Director of Special projects over at Kiribian Systems Armory, would also be present with the aim of establishing a partnership between KSA and Firemane to co-develop some new systems. It would be a continuation of discussions that had begun with then Senator
Teigra as she had looked to secure the patents of the Bolter system among others. This time around, with no bloated Republic committees to stand in the way of deal-making, arrangements could likely be successfully completed. There were a lot of perks of being an independent power.

When the Tygaran envoy arrived, they would be stopped at
Ovry, the outermost planet of the Kiribian system. As terrorist activity had been up across the galaxy, the KSU had stepped up its security. All vessels were now directed to the orbit of the blue gas giant. Interdictor flotillas and Empion mines were in place at various entry points into the system to discourage attempts at bypassing this security measure. Kiribi had also begun withholding detailed navigation data necessary to calculate hyperspace jumps through its inner asteroid fields until vessels checked in at Ovry. So even if they were equipped with HIMS to bypass interdictor fields, they would probably still wind up smacking headlong into a giant asteroid on their way to the inner regions of the system.

“Ma’am, we’re coming up to their sentry stations,” the pilot’s voice over the intercom roused Tegaea Alcori from her doze.
“Very good, broadcast our identification markers and the code clearance Ms Yune gave us.”
“Yes, ma’am.”

Travelling on the Revenant was hardly travelling at all. The luxury craft was both comfortable and strong, making it the perfect means of moving from place to place. Further, it looked very impressive as it arrowed through space.

Tegaea rose and headed to a newly installed console in the main room of the ship. There, after entering a keycard and passcode she tapped out a short message to [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"].
Have arrived Kiribi system. Will message result of meeting. Tegs XX

Through the magic of quantum mechanics the message would arrive instantly at Firemane’s HQ.

“Pilot, are they wanting to board and inspect or are we free to proceed?” she asked.
“Unsure, ma’am. They’re still processing our codes.”
“Secretive bunch,” Tegaea muttered to herself.

On the scheduled day of the meeting between Arisa and the Tygaran representative, she would be struck with a serious case of food poisoning. Even with all her power as a Jedi Master, Arisa was still vulnerable to a bad pot of curry.

While Arisa recovered, the
meeting would be scheduled for the following morning. In the meantime, the Tygaran representative, later identified by Control as Tegaea Alcori, would be offered a suite at the Old Republic Embassy, now more or less taken over by Arisa as she conducted her business within the Northwest Quadrant.

The night seemed to last forever for the poisoned Jedi. What would only be a few hours would seem like weeks in her mind. Such was the seriousness of her poisoning. But she would make it through the night, and be mostly recovered by daybreak.

As she paced back and forth, Arisa would sweep a hand along the edge of the large resinwood desk that dominated the far side of the office she now called her own, the air filled with its sweet medicinal scent. Once it had belonged to a mentor and dear friend, a bittersweet reminder of rather peaceful days as an aide and bodyguard.

Dark eyes fell upon the digital holo display projected over the center of the desktop, checking the time. It was almost nine. A little while more, and then her task would begin.

Her counterpart had quite a reputation, but Arisa wasn't bothered. She had dealt with her fair share of characters over the years, both on and off the battlefield. She paced not out of anxiety, but restlessness.

War was finally at Voss' doorsteps, but her predecessors hadn't been prepared. Quite wrongly they had assumed the Sith would never take an interest in the Outer Rim. But for the Sith, it was never about location. Taking up the mantle of the Jedi would always make them a target, no matter where they fled. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but eventually they would come, and they had. Ossus, Voss,
Midvinter.

So it was time to get their ducks in a row. Her first action in that effort was showing the
Tygarans, and the Galactic Alliance at Skor how serious they were in helping to tackle the First Order and their Sith allies. Now her next had been to reach out to the Tygarans directly to form a new alliance. As they were now in the same fight, there was no reason they shouldn't at least be talking again.

A few minutes to nine. Arisa finally settled, leaning against the end of her desk that faced the window, giving her an excellent view of the vast oceans that dominated the planet. The door to her office was open, so all
Tegaea had to do was step on through. She had no fancy welcome ceremony in mind for her counterpart, just straight talk.

((It's been a while, so as a reminder, this meeting occurs post-Skor and Drommund Kaas, but before Arisa is elected to Grandmaster.))
