Rasu Gan
Old Lady Returned
Fire. It raged around her, the heat of the blaze scorched the green skin of the Shi'ido Jedi. Screams echoed through the womans mind ringing in her ears as it intermixed with the sound of beasts feasting on their victims. All the while a loud malicious laugh could be heard over the top of the chaos, bringing ice to the Knights very soul.
BURN THE VILLAGE!
Men and women, clutching their children fled the burning huts, some with dreadful wounds, blood leaking down their faces and arms. Fearful creatures ran amok, chasing down these fleeing innocents, leaping on them as they sunk teeth and claw into the soft flesh.
LET NONE ESCAPE!
Rasu wanted dearly to save these people although she was stopped by invisible chains, helpless and forced to watch the horrific scene. Even when closing her eyes, the carnage could still not be hidden away. Tears now leaked down from the woman's eyes as she gazed down upon the scene of her doing. Already the glowing blades of the Jedi closed in, herding all the living inhabitants of the village into a single point. The glowing swords came crashing down, slicing through flesh and bone until all was silent, all except for the sound of the dying embers, all that remained of the once vibrant village.
"NO!" Rasu cried, flinging her body into an upright position. The Shi'ido let the tears run down her face as she was taken over by her grief, her sobs being the only thing that could be heard in her private chambers. Her body trembled as her mind raced through what had just occurred. It had been two weeks now since her return from the mission to Lujo, two weeks since the Shi'ido had ordered the death of an entire village. The Shi'ido had been told multiple times by friends and superiors alike, that the decision she had made on that planet had been the right one, but still Rasu was haunted by the dreams of that night. She had told herself that it had been the right thing to do, letting those die instead of falling to the virus that was the Rakghoul plague. They had been infected, they were a threat to the other people of Lujo, she had saved them and stopped another Rakghoul outbreak. So then why did she still regret her actions, why could she not let go of the past instead of regretting that very action that had saved the lives of the planet. Continuing to sob, Rasu brought her blanket up to her face, drying her leaking eyes. She had to move on, she had to overcome this. She just did not know how.
