Regrets of a Jedi

Fire. It raged around her, the heat of the blaze scorched the green skin of the Shi'ido Jedi. Screams echoed through the womans mind ringing in her ears as it intermixed with the sound of beasts feasting on their victims. All the while a loud malicious laugh could be heard over the top of the chaos, bringing ice to the Knights very soul.

BURN THE VILLAGE!

Men and women, clutching their children fled the burning huts, some with dreadful wounds, blood leaking down their faces and arms. Fearful creatures ran amok, chasing down these fleeing innocents, leaping on them as they sunk teeth and claw into the soft flesh.

LET NONE ESCAPE!

Rasu wanted dearly to save these people although she was stopped by invisible chains, helpless and forced to watch the horrific scene. Even when closing her eyes, the carnage could still not be hidden away. Tears now leaked down from the woman's eyes as she gazed down upon the scene of her doing. Already the glowing blades of the Jedi closed in, herding all the living inhabitants of the village into a single point. The glowing swords came crashing down, slicing through flesh and bone until all was silent, all except for the sound of the dying embers, all that remained of the once vibrant village.

"NO!" Rasu cried, flinging her body into an upright position. The Shi'ido let the tears run down her face as she was taken over by her grief, her sobs being the only thing that could be heard in her private chambers. Her body trembled as her mind raced through what had just occurred. It had been two weeks now since her return from the mission to Lujo, two weeks since the Shi'ido had ordered the death of an entire village. The Shi'ido had been told multiple times by friends and superiors alike, that the decision she had made on that planet had been the right one, but still Rasu was haunted by the dreams of that night. She had told herself that it had been the right thing to do, letting those die instead of falling to the virus that was the Rakghoul plague. They had been infected, they were a threat to the other people of Lujo, she had saved them and stopped another Rakghoul outbreak. So then why did she still regret her actions, why could she not let go of the past instead of regretting that very action that had saved the lives of the planet. Continuing to sob, Rasu brought her blanket up to her face, drying her leaking eyes. She had to move on, she had to overcome this. She just did not know how.

Just under the upper hand.
Yinch needed little sleep his small size and metabolism saw to that. He had grown since coming to the Jedi. His only thought when he first arrived was to bring relief to the oppressed, joy to the saddened and comfort to the depressed. It was by far more than one tiny being could ever hope to accomplish even with centuries of life, but he could give his life to the force and it's will and trust ot wpuld guide him to where his goals could be realized.

He climbed out of his small bed that would have been small for even a human child and crossed the short distance to a small cushion on the floor.

He assumed a crossed leg sitting position and began his time to commune with the force. He was young and still learning, but what he lacked in knowledge and skill he made up for in trust. The Force flowed freely through him, like a wind through a willows branches as it stirred his mind and reached his heart.

The Force qas like a symphonic wave coasting through him and bringing him peace and understanding. However, the force swirled suddenly as he let it carry him in its currents and a face appeared. It was breif and blurred but the voice that came with it was undeniable. His Master and possibly hia closest friend in the Order was hurting. Yinch's big eyes snapped open and he leapt to action.

Racing out onto the corridor in his tiny trousers he bounded down the corridor to his Masters door.

It was quiet and no noise could be heard. Perhaps he had been confused or maybe misunderstood the image. Was it future, past, or present.

Yinch opened a three fingered hand to wave at a Temple guard who walked by wwith a scandalous grin. Yinch wasn't quite sure what the man was thinking but it must have been very humorous.

Yinch didn't know what to do so he closed his eyes again and knocked gently. If she was awake she would hear but if asleep she would find him in the morning.

The Shi'ido's sobs had lessened now, her volume dropping to a soft intake of breathe. However still the dream haunted her, she could not erase the image of flames and severed limbs from her mind. She found that with the sobbing finished, her body had begun to tremble, her mouth as dry as sandpaper from inhaling all that oxygen. Forcing herself to get out of the bed, she wrapped the thick blanket around herself and shuffled over to the water basin, avoiding looking into the mirror, knowing what a mess she must look like. Turning on the tap, she cupped her hands under the flow of cool water, bringing it up to her mouth as she sipped a bit before passing it over her face.

Refreshed and awake, Rasu walked over to her desk sitting down on a stool as she looked over the seemingly endless papers that needed checking and sorting. Pulling the blanket over her shoulders, the Headmistress picked up the first piece of flimsi, reading only a few lines before becoming bored of it. Looking up at a few holo-frames, she gazed on the faces of Sochi and her old Master, Marek. They would have offered her some comforting words, Sochi's would have been more effective the her Master's but it would have been nice to see him try. Alas both were busy, off somewhere in the galaxy, leaving the Headmistress to deal with her grief in solitude. Feeling the start of more tears, Rasu quickly brought the corner of the blanket up to wipe her eyes. She let her emotions run out onto the material, letting the tears flow free, instead of fighting them.

The Shi'ido's attention was suddenly brought to her door, as a knock emanated from it. Rasu hesitated opening it, preferring to remain alone while she grieved in her depressed mood, but she decided against, thinking that whoever was on the other side might have some task for her. Dragging herself over to the door, with the blanket still wrapped around her, she pressed a button to allow the metal panel to slide away revealing a small green being standing behind it.

"Oh Yinch." she said, quickly bringing up the blanket to wipe away the tears. She didn't want her Padawan to see her in this state. "What can I do for you?"

Yinch was not a partical physicist but he knew a sad face when he saw one. He squinted his eyes and looked passed her.

"Ok are you, Master?" He asked softly. This woman was his Master and friend. He was not about to allow her bravado keep him from helping.

"In deep meditation was I," he said looking deeply into her eyes.

"Told me the force did. Trouble I feared you were in."

Yinch paused and poked he blanket not fully grasping the finer points of normal etiquette.
