Description:
The ARC-1 Patrol Droid was designed to be a nearly unseen patrol bot of the streets of various imperial worlds. Rather than requiring an on the ground presence, therefore being overtly visible to the people of the world as a symbol of Imperial dominion, the ARC-1 hovers above the heads of the masses, largely unseen and out of mind. The droid is programmed to patrol and watch for certain interactions between individuals, or activities that are against written protocol (it's programmed to know what the laws of the Empire are). When it detects this, it intervenes vocally unless an override code is used to direct the droid to immediately intervene with force.

Armed with a single variable strength blaster cannon, it is capable of stunning or killing a target. Equipped with a personal shield, friend/foe sensor, vocal box, and small transceiver it packs a lot into a small frame. However, it has no shielding from projectiles or electro-magnetic pulse weapons and its transceiver has a limited range, which usually isn't a problem within cities as it can usually bounce an important message off a nearby counterpart. This droid is a police/military unit.

It does not. It's primary function is as a patrol droid, so it only detects crimes in progress. Known criminals would be hunted down by either human officers, or another type of droid that I'll likely be submitting later on.
