Private Reformation

Saahar, the clear third wheel of the conversation, traded glances between Valery and Kahlil as the two seemed absorbed with the other. She'd never really seen people care for each other so openly. It felt taboo, but also... slightly heartwarming?

The girl made no comment, her thoughts on the matter quickly forgotten as they turned to corner to the Panthac's confinements. Her brows raised in mild shock, but other than that her reaction seemed subdued. This was the kind of gruesome manipulation she'd come to expect from the Sith.

Without much thought she placed a hand on the glass, a frown carving her lips. "Can it see us? Or is the glass reflective?"

"They can. For some it helps them not feel lonely. For others, it might make problems so we have shutters. There's a lot of guess work involved in this, as no two Sthspawn are really the same."

Or at least strands. A whole line of them could be exactly the same if they were made at the same time, but Sith often put their own twists and turns into the formula. "We've been decoding the process used. Thankfully that's easier to track. Once we have, we'll be able to undo it."

Saahar had definitely noticed the way Valery spoke to her husband, and perhaps even overheard her last comments. It sparked a somewhat more sheepish smile, and she decided to remain quiet for a moment. They were here to show something to Saahar and have her help out.

She didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

"Since we know a Vornskr strand was used, we should be able to help it, right?" Valery asked as she walked up to the glass. The Vornskr was an animal they had plenty of data on, so she imagined it wouldn't be a problem. But she wasn't actually an expert on any of this. Saahar almost knew and understood as much as she did herself.

"Perhaps we should go inside?"

Saahar raised an eyebrow.

“Go inside? As in inside there?”

Maybe this way just an elaborate scheme to get her killed after all. The girl regarded the glass and the beast lounging behind it. With a small shake of her head she took stock of Valery’s suggestion.

Clearly there was enough trust to allow her within feet of a living breathing Sithspawn. Neither Valery or Khalil intended on getting her killed, she was fine.

“You know what. Actually I’m all for that.”

"Maybe. It depends on how twisted it's DNA is. Was it a sample that was used? Or is this actually two made one?" If it was the later, there was likely not much that could be done for it to revert it to what it had been. They'd have to explore the other options then, but for right now, he nodded. They could go in. He'd already bonded with the creature in enough to keep it calm.

"No sudden movements is all I ask. They are still scared. Curious, but scared." After everything that had happened to them, it wasn't a surprise. And perhaps it'd resonate more with Sahaar.

He opened the door to step in, idly raising a hand to brush out with the Force. Sooth the anxiety that had started to form as they approached.

".. Reach out, feel it's thoughts through the Force. It's very open right now, in part because of the nature of a Vornskr. They were bread to be commanded by the Force, after all."

Valery was careful with Sithspawn, and this one had Vornskr DNA embedded into its own somehow as well. DNA of a creature that had once scarred Valery's face and one she was still extremely wary of. So, as Kahlil opened the door and led them inside, Valery actually remained behind them a little. She wasn't good at bonding with animals, and while Kahlil or the rest of her family would usually tease her about it, here it meant something more serious.

She didn't want to anger or scare the creature.

"Bred to detect other Force-sensitives and hunt them down," Valery said calmly, but her eyes betrayed that bit of hurt that still lingered after all these years. She wasn't afraid of them anymore, but she certainly wasn't comfortable either.
