He did not respond to her quip verbally. Instead, he glanced to her with an almost playful smirk as the elevator reached its destination, allowing her to see that some of them did indeed survive the rather massive explosion. As the two entered, he stayed quiet. He had nothing to say. Their actions would have to speak for themselves now. The sith - like so many of his kind - threw them a thread. It was not the least efficient on Mathieu and judging by Shai's reaction, she didn't think much of it either. Instead, she released a number of tiny missiles which quickly removed two more guards from the fight.

Multiple fires had broken out in the chamber. It was hard to avoid, seeing how many explosions there had been. "Got it" he said, his voice low and filled with determination.

With large strides, Mathieu neared the Lord. As he did, he fired two shots to keep the man distracted and to test him out. The bolts were easily swatted away, indicating that the Sith had a solid foundation. Upon passing one of the dead troopers' corpse, Mathieu went low and picked up a vibroblade with his left hand. He then fired off three more shots towards the Sith as he continued moving closer. For a normal person, it would have been nigh on impossible, but for Mathieu, both with his muscular physique and the strength enhancing stim, it was manageable. Still, firing a rifle with just one hand did not offer much accuracy and it did put a strain on him.

Once the former mercenary got close, the Sith had run out of patience. With a sudden burst of speed, he ignited his sabre and swung it at the Jedi. Mathieu's vibroblade shot up just as fast to block the attack. With his free hand, he then fired a few shots at the man's feet. The first few had to be avoided through footwork but the last ones could be swatted away by the crimson sabre. With his foe on the defence, Mathieu swung his blade up high, forcing the Sith to bring his own sabre up to block the attack. It gave Mathieu the opening to fire even more shots at the Sith's feet which once more had to be avoided through solid footwork.

A roar escaped the dark sider and with it came a telekinetic burst which pushed the large Morellian back a couple steps. The crimson blade rose for another strike aimed to behead the light sider. Mathieu's own blade rose to block the attack by the very tip of it and what came next would happen fast. Just as the two weapons were about to connect, he pulled it down, allowing the lightsabre to continue on its path towards his throat. Exploiting the added agility from not wearing armour, Mathieu leaned back. The Sith, realising that his blade wouldn't connect started moving forth which caused Mathieu to move back. The ground which the Sith tried to move up on was, however, all shot up from the battle, causing the opponent to stumble a little, preventing him from continuing pushing forth while putting him out of balance. He didn't manage to behead his foe. It was Mathieu's chance to counter as his opponent had overcommitted to the attack. The retaliatory attack was brutal as the Jedi punished his foe by cutting off his arm, now that the lightsabre could no longer be put between the limb and the attacking weapon. The blaster then went off once more, hitting the Sith in the leg. With the Sith unarmed, Mathieu took a step forth and sent his knee into the abdomen of the other to then finally hit him with the vibroblade's pummel, immediately knocking him out.

"There" he said, standing over the unconscious foe. He would normally have let out a sigh in relief. But first, he turned to see how Shai was doing.

While Matt squared off with the Sith Lord, Shai had her hands full with the two guards. They might not be force sensitive, but they were clearly very skilled. Shai twisted and weaved to evade their strikes, only risking blows to her vambraces, cuirass and helmet if needed. Her body glove could hold up against energy weapons, but not against physical blades like these.

The first one finally fell when one misstep gave Shai the opening she needed, and with her flamethrower mounted in her vambrace, she let him burn in a writhing, screaming mess on the ground as his armour turned against him under the searing heat. The second used the opportunity to swing at her arm, though she could see the surprise even without not seeing his face as his blade cleaved through the body glove and suddenly stopped with a loud "CLANG" against her bicep. "Upgrades." She quipped casually before grabbing hold of his weapon and slamming a fist against his helmet.

The guard recoiled from the hit and finally collapsed to the ground when Shai drew her pistol and landed three shots against him, finishing off her last opponent. One more shot into his helmet made sure that he wouldn't get up again.

The fight was over and their enemies were defeated. Her attention turned to Matt as he stood over the unconscious Sith Lord. "No... no, no no!" She spoke up with worry in her voice as she rushed over to the Sith. She knelt over him and started to shake and slap him in an attempt to wake him up. "Wake up, dammit! You're not gettin' off that easy." She continued to slap, shake and even shock him with the stunners built into her gloves until the battered man finally came about.

He barely had time to register what was going on before Shai sank her Kal into his throat. As the man thrashed and tried to fight back, she kept sinking it deeper. "Suffer, schutta. Drown in your failure." She growled with rage as life left his eyes.

With a powerful yank, she sliced through his neck and rose with his lightsaber in her hand. "This is for you. He's your victory." She pressed the bloodied hilt against his chest as she looked down at the dead Sith again. "It was still too quick. He needed to suffer. This was way too quick." She stepped away and yanked her helmet off to run a hand through her mane, letting out a long and shaky breath. "You shouldn't be that soft on Sith." She muttered, turning to face Matt. "They don't deserve mercy, you go for the kill and you make sure they know it." She practically lectured as she glared at him. "How'd you do that, anyway?"

Shai was already on her way when he turned to see how she was doing. Mathieu's eyes went to her torn bodyglove. Having seen many similar tears in the past, it was hard not to notice that there was no blood. It might have been an interesting topic to explore with her at some point - but this was not the time. For she, almost in a frenzy, tried to wake the Sith back up again. "Just give him some time. He will be back with us soon enough" his voice was calm as he tried to get an idea of what she hoped to accomplish. But it seemed as if she could barely hear him in her desperation to make the Sith wake up again.

When the dark sider finally woke, both him and Mathieu would be in for a surprise. For instead of waking up in a prison or in an Imperial remnant medical vessel, he woke up in the grasp of a very powerful Mandalorian. And instead of seeing her show her caring side once more - or seeing her squeeze someone for information - Mathieu got to witness his ally slowly squeeze the life out of someone.

"Shai, that was brutal" he said whilst idly taking the Sith's sabre as she shoved it to him. His tone was neutral - but anyone who knew him would know that he disapproved. Someone who did not know him may very well have interpreted it as a compliment. He continued more positively, however "But thank you. The victory is ours. I would not have been able to pull this off without you."

Mathieu listened to her calmly as she lectured him about how to treat Sith. He could feel her. At darker moments, he had felt the same way. But it was not the way. After allowing for a moment of silence after her question, just for the two of them to somewhat regain their composure, he put a hand on her shoulder "Maybe the best way to make them pay for their crimes is to convert them." he said and paused once more to let it sink in. But before an argument could erupt, he tried to continue by talking about something which she seemed interested in. He pointed at the shot up floor with the vibroblade "I ruined his footwork." it was the core of what gave him success, albeit simplified. Blood was slowly seeping into the miniature craters that the blaster bolts had created and quickly started oozing from the heat that still lingered inside "My distractive shots altered the field of battle and he did not catch on until it was too late."

With her question answered, he started looking around until he found an intact computer terminal in the far end of the room. Walking through the fires that lingered from the multiple explosions, Mathieu made his way to the console. His wide form would almost cover it entirely once he got close - but he was not there to destroy it. Instead, he sat down and started accessing and downloading the information it contained. While working, his mind couldn't help but to go back to when Shai tried to shake life into the Sith and how he had naturally assumed that she did it to accomplish something good. In her, he saw someone who was not this brutal and bloodthirsty in her core. It was a brutal galaxy they lived in. Maybe her current nature was just a product of that?

If she had followed him to the console, Mathieu would glance over to his ally with an empathetic look "I think you are a good person, Shai." His eyes would linger for a few moments, just as if they could convey his thoughts on their own. He would then let his attention return to the console "I am glad I met you"
