TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • High resistance to damage.
  • Capable, if somewhat sluggish swimmer.
  • Secondary backup brain.
STRENGTHS
  • Sea Brute: The RBQ is the oceanic equivalent to the B2H and B2A, and is thus well-armored, strong, and capable of removing most underwater obstacles with gusto.
  • Heavily Armed: The Leviathan carries a fearsome armament, sporting a heavy repeating blaster, a long, jagged vibroblade hidden in its left arm, and a retractable torpedo launcher to assail enemy submarines.
  • Redundant Systems: Like its air and land-based brothers, the RBQ possesses a secondary brain housed in its chest cavity, enabling it to continue operating even after grievous damage.
WEAKNESSES
  • Unintelligent: The Leviathan is smart enough to tell friend from foe and which weapon suits which target, but any more complex directives require guidance from a KBQ sergeant. They are prone to self-destructive rages when badly damaged, as a side-effect of their dual-brained nature.
  • Sea Slug: While it can swim faster than it can walk, the Leviathan is not especially speedy, on land or water.
DESCRIPTION

The RBQ was designed to support the operations of Helix's aquatic troops, much like similar heavy droids did in other environments.

Approximately three meters in height, that was where their visual similarity to their cousins ended. Sporting a bizarre, alien appearance, these machines were specialized for operation in submarine settings. Their feet could reconfigure to form a propeller-like mechanism, which combined with their underwater drive systems would propel them through liquid environments.

Each was heavily armored in damage-resistant metals, and much larger and stronger than most humanoids. Aside from a considerable armory, including a repeating blaster, an underwater ordnance launcher, and a retractable blade, they also sported a cutting laser for sawing into enemy bases or submarines.

As such, these droids were excellent for leading the charge in underwater assaults, capable of taking a horrendous beating and staying functional. They embraced this role with pleasure, taking delight in close-quarters combat in the dark depths of alien oceans.

They were, however, no smarter than their counterparts on land and air, being mostly savage killing machines designed to shoot first and question later. As such, any KBQ squads assigned with one were instructed to keep them on a tight leash.

While they could generally swim faster than a humanoid not equipped with diving fins, they were still large, clumsy brutes, not capable of the underwater gracefulness of the infantry droids they were usually seen alongside.
