Be prepared to have your Avi judged.
The image itself is in all forms, simple. Nothing going on in the background, and is a simple fade of colors. This allows for better focus on the person face. Makes a better focal point. With the lighting on the right side of the characters face, it makes her pop out from the background, and even have the shadowed portion of her face on the left seem to drop back into the background. Kind of like walking out of a shadow, and taking a picture right in the middle of doing that.
What I can tell from the character, and the DJ tag, is that the character has a skeleton in her closet. This translates well with the shadow on the left side, Hiding her face, and a portion of who she really is. The Avi very clearly portrays that she has had a rough life, or has something to hide. As well, the image is overall beautiful. Nothing special with the hair. No real "makeup" that isn't extraordinary or trying to pop off of the characters face. As well, the border.
The border is opaque which shows there is a border there, it has a defined cut off of the image, but yet doesn't limit you to looking at just the image or the border. With the border being the way it is, it feels to me like you are wanting people to not look at the border, with the center of the face, but rather only the face, and have the border as a very simplistic form of decor.
TDLR: 5/5 Fits the character well.
