  • Region: Unknown Regions
  • System Name: Cor

  • Accessibility: Small (Hidden deep within the main temple, when the ancient Sangir were alive only the highest priests and priestesses could visit, now anyone could check it out if they find it.)
  • Effects: The cuts into reality within the room can cause insanity, the voices of those who were sacrificed still linger around the area, and Darkside entities can attach themself to your body if you stay too long, haunting you and causing issues.

POPULATION
  • Native Species: Nim-rae, Ashen stalk, Aral, Harsan Ama.
  • Immigrated Species: Sangir [Wiped out], Human (Slaves) (Ghouls) (Thralls) [Wiped out], Various sentient species (Slaves) (Ghouls) (Thralls) [Wiped out], Various other Nether beasts (Could run into anything thanks to the time the system spent in the nether.)

    • Sentient species [ Uninhabited]
    • Land creatures [Sparse]
    • Sea creatures [Moderate]
    • Plants [Heavy]

  • Primary Languages:
    • Nehekharan (An old tongue used by the ancient Sangir here on Rapture, combines old dialects with basic.) [Link to the translator: X ]
    • Basic
  • Culture:
  • Nehekharan culture was one of segregation and iron-handed authority, their general view of all things not Sangir was that it was inferior. If any Sangir were to have relations with a non-Sangir they and their partner were to be publicly executed by use of flame to be made an example of. Daily life for those who were blessed with the anima was much more comfortable compared to non-anima-imbued creatures, many Sangir elites would pride themselves on owning lavish homes, jewels, and other treasures from distant planets. Obsession with anima turned Nehekhara into a vile pit of arrogance and vanity. Nehekharans usually sneered at “ignorant” outsiders who couldn’t see the true holiness and value of anima. Gossiping, sneering, and laughing at the suffering of outsiders was a good pastime for Nehekharans.

Their society was a version of a theocracy where the ruling head of the church (The Suor avar, or Suor vara) selected members from powerful families to serve as the leader’s extra eyes and ears.

Highbloods were the apex and treated as gods. Below them were the lowbloods who helped manage the city, and below a lowblood was a ghoul. Ghouls were a rare thing, it wasn’t often that any Sangir considered someone worthy of the powers that came with it. Most of the time any healthy and strong being would be turned into a thrall so that no issues would arise.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Theocracy (Now nothing)
  • Affiliation: None
  • Wealth: Wealthy (Nehekhara, back when everyone was alive.. Was and still is filled to the brim with silvers, golden trinkets, and other things. All was gained by raids and or heavy slave labor.)
  • Stability: Was high. Its old rulers kept order with an iron first, any rebellious acts were quickly crushed and those responsible were sent to the Bloodworks. Laws were enforced to the highest degree. Is it safe? Not now, creatures and nether influences have long since taken over the sleeping corpse that was Nehekhara. Those who once ruled often kept to themselves, they hid deeper in the richest parts of the hive much like a dragon guarding its horde of wealth. Most residents dealt with lowbloods, who served as the main military and respectable populace.
  • Freedom & Oppression: Was once heavily oppressed, inhuman eyes always kept a hard eye on their slaves. Anyone who visited to partake in the lavishness of the place was fairly limited as to where they could go, and if you upset the ruling government even just a little you were either enslaved or sent straight to the Bloodworks.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military: Once had a military that worked for the church, every lowblood had to work within the military. Though this planet was away from the troubles of the galaxy, keeping to isolationism.
  • Technology: Galactic Standard for the most part, yet they had their own anima tech. Examples include doors needing one to place their hand on a scanner, if it picked up no anima the door would not open and turned on an alarm. Or, weapons powered by the anima of the user. Once powered they would extend out of their case and take on their actual form.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
ZEf5UGS.png
The many red forests around Rapture are all the result of the heavy minerals located within the soil and water, pretty much every plant is used to the general atmosphere and heavy amounts of minerals.

y6XZGjf.png
Snow white with blood-red fruits, these were once much lower in population. Their fruit served as a lovely treat, and the bark as hard protection for armor and weapons. Despite the color and taste, it actually isn’t blood. The plant grows like a fungus/tree hybrid, growing normally in the mineral-rich soil, yet in the presence of corpses, it will grow much faster as the body is absorbed by the plant.

Nehekharan architecture is very gothic in its design, reflecting the dour atmosphere that the slaves of Nehekhara once experienced every day. Buildings and fancy statues made of obsidian now remain dormant. Yet, it still stands to this day, remaining untouched for an uncountable number of years.

OiqepaO.png
The Bloodworks is an old pit of experiments and forceful life extraction, here is where the ancient Sangir made their hunter's weapons, along with locking slaves in blood extraction machines that would slowly kill them over a long period of time.

3ijY8y3.jpg
Inside a temple, places of religious practice were always the first to be adorned in heavy amounts of gold and jewels.. Also some of the most guarded before they all died.

IprgqAC.jpg
A holy hunter for the church adorned within their pale garb, they also served as tithe collectors. If one failed to pay the blood price, the collector was instructed to get it however possible. Most of the time they used a man-catcher to capture the target so that they could be brought to the Bloodworks.. Other times they had to use lethal force.

NoabXpZ.jpg
Typical garb of a highblood lady, each sought to outdo the other with all sorts of designs and jewels.. Even down to who owned the stoutest looking slaves.

Tl0vzYf.png
The pillar of attunement lies deep within the bowels of the most prestigious church, unlucky souls once were subjugated to ritual sacrifice upon this altar.

W4Vz18z.png
The Harsan Ama is a red and black reptilian that lives on Rapture, its diet consists of the fruit from Ashen stalks and the other local plant life. The horns are both to attract mates, and to fight off foes. They travel alone and normally are about 3 meters in length, docile until you get too close.

v8r6Tdm.jpg
Aral are the main land carnivores on Rapture, standing at 2 meters on their hind legs, these pack hunters used to be hunted for sport by the Nehekharans. Now they run amok, their population controlled now by food and by themselves. One pack will eat another if they meet, and they will jump at any target they can no matter the threat. Pack size normally consists of about four max.

qBWZXaG.jpg
Nim-rae are gray serpents that lurk in the deep waters of Rapture, they are almost fully blind and hunt off of their enhanced smell and a multitude of sensitive attachments that feel even the slightest bit of movement in the water. Stretching to a max of 5 meters long, these beasts hunt with a partner. Their dominance in the waters is mostly untested, and sometimes you can find one coming to the surface to snatch an Aral to drag them to the deep.

Rapture was never the original home of the old Sangir bloodlines, nor was it the home of humans or anyone else. Yet at some unknown time thousands of years ago (Expected to be at max around 13000BBY) a colony ship had crashed onto the planet, leaving those who survived stranded and wild. It is said that an event known as “The Miracle” had blessed those souls with anima… What really happened is unknown.

Their culture was very interesting, to say the least, with most being fascinated with the dead and death itself. Below the streets of the city are countless miles of tombs, these serving as a storage place for lesser beings that were not blessed by the anima. Though in some architecture they would incorporate parts of dead servants, as a reminder to those under them that they will one day die. Ironic now that they all died the same way, perhaps karma does exist eh?

Now this must bring up the question of “What if a Sangir had died?”, and the answer is simple. While it was known that highbloods were considered gods, and the lowbloods were angels. The reality that a bullet could kill them just as easy as a slave was one that haunted the minds of them all, if one of them were to fall in combat it was not considered a “weakling’s death”. Their bones were to be used for holy artifacts meant to venerate their sacrifice. Most of the bones were kept in holy vaults along with jewels and other treasures, it would be this fascination with death that had them set their sights on the other side.

Most of the information on their religion was lost during the warp, though from what can be found they thought of anima as a holy fluid and they themselves to be gods under the dogma of nature. What is the dogma of nature? It is simply that the apex rule and control, in their eyes they considered Sangir to be the apex of all life, even better if they had the ability to control the force.

As stated before, their studious pursuits in the unknown had led them to tamper with the fabric of reality. Seeking to become gods of the afterlife and or the beyond they meddled with hellish power, their pillar of attunement being tainted with devilry. Steadily the church went mad, wounds in our reality formed and within a sudden flash the crowning jewel of the ancient Sangir was gone, everyone perishing in the nether as the whole system was warped into hell.

Now it has suddenly been spat back out into our reality, surrounded by scars that cause insanity to those who pass through by accident. Lands tainted and changed into eldritch designs, and a once busy city is now dead silent.

(So after a while of working on this, here it is! Just in time for the spooky season! Further lore will be submitted to the codex, this is mainly for the planet itself.)

Looks great and I love the concept! There's just a couple things that need to be tweaked so that I can give you approval on this one.

Image Credit links 1, 6, 8, and 10 need to be fixed. 1 and 8 both lead to pages of pictures yes, but a direct link to the image itself where it was posted by the artist is very much preferred, but those are easy fixes. 6 and 10 lead to a facebook page and a book on amazon respectively, so these will need to be corrected as well. But other than that it all looks very good and I can't wait to see how you use it in future stories!

All requested changes have been made, sorry about the image credit for 10 previously... Most of where I could find it were olddddd links that didn't even work anymore! But I managed to find one that should be satisfactory I hope c:
