BIOGRAPHY
Quelisse was born in a vat, her genetic code spliced from the DNA of pro-masculinist Hapan nobles, military officers, and bureaucrats who had betrayed the Consortium during the Hapan Crisis. In the months following the crisis, many of the traitors were imprisoned or slain in various retribution campaigns. However, since many possessed strong royal pedigrees and often represented the last of their noble lines, their genetic material was considered too valuable to destroy. Thus, Consortium-contracted bioengineers harvested, refined, and revived their essence through Engineered Variance Cloning into a new generation of variant clones who would likely never know their treacherous origins. Created as adults, these variant clones were pressed into service in various positions in the Hapan military.Quelisse was one such creation.
She was decanted as a fully formed adult, her mind imprinted with loyalty, discipline, and a fierce devotion to the Queen Mother. Obligated to fulfill an indefinite period of military service, Quelisse was drafted into the Hapan military like her variant clone sisters, where she quickly distinguished herself from her peers owing to her diligence and reliability. Her superiors took note. Selected for admission into the elite Hapan Royal Guard, Quelisse soon attained the rank of Grade 3 Agent. From here, she continued her training along a specialist track, eventually earning the prestigious title of Fountain Sniper.
Graduating at the top of her Royal Guard training class, Quelisse worked with slavish devotion and ruthless discipline, seeking to prove herself a devoted daughter of Hapes.
She yet remains unaware of the sin woven into her very cells.
