- Personality: Warm, friendly, and notably earnest. Her youth is apparent, but she is fiercely loyal to her Master, Junko. She shares a unique and powerful Force Bond with Junko, making her one of the few who can speak for the Princess with genuine authority and insight when Junko is absent. She is dedicated to improving her skills and embodying the ideal of the Commonwealth's future.

- Combat Function: Largely serves as a mobile shield and defender. Her primary role is to use the heavy defense of Form V: Djem So to counter incoming attacks and protect her Master and the other Handmaidens. Her combat stance is typically neutral and defensive, designed to buy time for others to escape, call for support, or join the engagement. When ranged support is needed, she can quickly utilize her Lightbow skills.

Qi Ling was born and raised within the Wukong temple of The Agora. She was one of the youngest padawans taken in from her family fleeing the destruction in Jar'Kai. Under Fang Min to rescued them she learned to care for many of the others and when the Agora was found by the royal princess her near decade of training saw her quickly being sent with the royal princess who was a jedi master to share the Wukongs skills and show what they could do. Junko agreeing that sending force users there instead of the normal jedi order would be better as a home grown force order dedicated to the lightside of the force would be a welcomed addition to the Atrisi system. Qi Ling in the role of padawan and handmaiden quickly bonded with Junko.. she bonded with all the other handmaidens and it seemed easier for her.
With Junko though she found other purposes.. Specifically, she would be able to enter competitions and festivals that the Commonwealth had. HEr skill with a lightbow good enough she could represent Junko and the Royal family among the people there without being considered a professional like many of the soldiers within the Royal guards and servants. Qu Ling did good she might not have been the best at first but she had a training routine and compared to many who went there for fun she could dedicate herself to it aas a means to also learn how to protect Junko when they needed a range attacker. Her skills further improving and changing as the jedi of handmaidens did increase but in a welcomed way. Each one adding new skills that the others could copy and use to blend together for better protection of the princess.
The Continued Jishi era and commonwealths advancement went a long way towards solidifying her even more.. she wanted to get better and improve other skills. As Junko and Shoma pushed for the entire system to continue towards a Utopia vision... others worlds not their own with medical, resource and the ideas of post scarcity... they were advancing many more of the technological aspects of the system. The terraformed planets, moons and expanding the colonies that were part of the Commonwealth. She improved her piloting skills and even her cooking taking on the position of a cook for Junko and the other handmaidens when they would visit the fledgling planets that were being colonized and terraformed. The advances in technology help them but nothing could beat a homecooked meal.
