SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Flexible Wings: The QO-11 has flexible wings made of an advanced carbon fiber, which afford it greater maneuverability than similarly sized craft.
  • Secret Compartment: The QO-11 has a built-in secret compartment in the rear trunk for smuggling jobs. Every unit has a slightly different way of accessing it, so law enforcement officers cannot always search in the same place.
STRENGTHS
  • Agile In The Air: The QO-11 can take sharp turns that would baffle most speeders or swoops thanks to its multi-directional repulsorlift, and flexible wings. This makes it ideal for operating in urban environments with sharp corners and hectic traffic.
  • Smuggling Craft: On worlds where the Pyke Syndicate operates more secretively, the QO-11 has proven to be an effective smuggling craft, due to its speed, maneuverability, and secret compartments.
  • Cheap: The Finwing is easy and inexpensive to produce and maintain in large numbers.
WEAKNESSES
  • Open Cockpit: A problem with most vehicles of this size, the QO-11 has no protection for its pilot from many angles.
  • Not As Fast As A Speeder Bike: While the QO-11 is fast, most speeder or swoop bikes can outpace it.
DESCRIPTION
The QO-11 is the Pyke Syndicate’s tried and true one-man vehicle. While it looks similar, it is not a speeder bike or swoop. It is a finwing, a unique type of vehicle invented, produced, and used on Oba Diah. Finwings exchange speed for increased maneuverability and a higher maximum altitude. This makes finwings ideal for buzzing around the obsidian spires and cities of the Pyke homeworld.

The QO-11 was developed from a civilian model of finwing known as the QO-6. Compared to its predecessor, the QO-11 has a higher top speed, a hidden compartment, and a small weapons hardpoint (usually occupied by a small plasma thrower) for combat. While not the first model of combat finwing, it proved to be one of the most effective.

QO-11s are a staple of Pyke operations wherever the Syndicate goes. On Oba Diah, they patrol the streets, skies, and even utility tunnels of large skyscrapers such as the Obsidian Shard. On planets under full Pyke control, they are used in counter-insurgency operations, and as first responders to insurgent attacks. Finally, on planets where the Syndicate has a more limited presence, they are used for small-scale smuggling operations, usually running Spice or Coaxium. Notably, Glar Ulchtar Glar Ulchtar took one of these vehicles with him when he fled from the Pyke Syndicate, and still owns and uses it. His QO-11 has a custom green paint job, and is nicknamed the Verdant Scythe.
