Private Pursuing Old Names [Aldrouk Grandaun]

Shavara saw the ship headed her way as the mist cleared after she'd pulled it, she raised both hands and leapt, using the force to send her high up into the air. She didn't want to have to deal with this, he was already back at her. She was strong in the force, but his persistence and skill would eventually have to catch up to her. No, she had to choose the logical option. Run.

She took in a breath, shutting her eyes and focusing as best she could. And then she was backwards 20 meters facing a wall. She turned to see Aldrouk Grandaun Aldrouk Grandaun still there. Woops. She still hadn't perfected the accuracy bit. She either had to take way too long, or she wasn't going to be very accurate. She turned and just flat out sprinted away from him.

Perhaps her less violent tendencies were winning out. She had the power and weapon advantage, he had the skill, experience and persistence. And she really didn't feel like finding out which one would be the winner. Maybe if she just...ran away. He'd give up. If not, she was working on practicing the use of teleportation again. Maybe she could double back? Make it look like she was going further into the forest and then instead go right back into the village?

She retreats, she will pay for her foolishness. He watched as she ran, and then he bagan the dark magic ritual. Az varci, matu belran greth shaz. Az varci, gatulk farji massi lothlot karni! As he said this the power of the Gundanbard flowed through him. He then realized he could get her back. He walked around the town, he sensed where the villagers were, he found some in a storm shelter. He then sent lightning at them, killing them all. He then sent a telepathic message out, hopefully to contact Shavara, Come now, or more blood with be spilt. He then went around the town to find more victims.

He then found a family with 3 children, he had an idea. He killed the parents and dragged the others out. He activated his lightsaber and held it up to their necks. Come now, these haven't even had a chance. He taunted her more, he would kill more if she didn't come.

Shavara halted as she sensed pain and death, her abilities of sense were only so strong, and not yet mastered, but they were good enough for that. She heard him, she couldn't let this happen. Couldn't stand by. She reached out, not to him, but to every sentient being in the village with a quick warning, "A killer in armor is among you. He wields the lightsaber and the force." she warned. And then she continued, she did not enter the building he was in, instead she simply focused, reaching out with the force to him. And attempting to ram him through the ceiling, she didn't have time to care about property damage. Death was a far greater problem.

If she succeeded, his air time would be enough for her to quickly apply just a bit of gkchrn to her wound before shutting the canister. If she failed she might still have to do. Regardless, she needed to fight him at a distance. And fight him with all her power at the forefront. She knew that was not how Sar Vun would have done it, he really did have the skill required to fight properly. But for now, she could only play to her strengths. And her strengths was her power in the force and her alchemical devices.

Aldrouk felt himself move up into the ceiling and through in. Quickly realizing what was going on he used force lightning to electrocute everything around him. He was on another part of the now damaged roof. He saw one of the hostages try to escape, he force chocked the runner before jumping off the roof. He then saw Shavara, he used the force to rip out the wall she was near and he activated his lightsaber, he tried to slice her when she would be pushed by the debris. And now he was felling the power of the Sacred Power, he tapped into it and let it bring him to victory.

Shavara focused, the ring aided, and the wall shattered. And she rose into the sky, higher and higher to avoid his more traditional methods of fighting. A hand reached out, attempting to use the force to wrench him and throw him again. She had no reason to speak to him, to try and reason, all she could do was try and beat him. And so that was her plan. Her third arm reached out, and when it did, the wind began to push, faster and faster against Aldrouk Grandaun Aldrouk Grandaun , dust and debris began flying as the sound of the wind began to roar. She was focused, but she was also angry, and also afraid.

She hadn't mastered those emotions as others had before her. But her methods of combat had almost always been more unfocused. The ground began to tear itself up as the wind grew ever stronger. She had one focus now, only her fight. She could not risk any distractions. She could not risk any other emotions than those that pressured her to fight harder. No other thoughts then those about how to destroy him. No more words left the mask towards him. He may not quite have won yet, but he'd pushed her to the point of using emotions she would normally not touch. They were not anathema to her nor something considered untouchable, but they were not supposed to be aids for someone with her focus. She followed the way of thought, not the way of emotion. Yet she was pushed to use it.

Aldrouk was being pushed back by the force, he tried to hold on, he dug his boots into the ground and tried to hold firm. He saw Shavara now floating and he could sense that some of her emotions were not straight, good. This ability was advanced and he had not used it very often, he then reached out, this was returned by him being pushed back even more. But he still tried, he focused on her mind, he then sent her a powerful telepathic message, but in the form of images and raw power.

He showed her the dark world of Mar'Zambul, and the temple of the Sacred Power. He also sent her the raw power and anger of the temple. The sacred power and its center the temple gave the Gundanbard species there anger and drive to conquest. And no he hoped that by falling the power, it would consume her, or at least destabilize her.

The pressure was working, and so she put more into it. Then she felt him trying to speak to her mind, no, he wanted to show her something. The mask would again come in handy, as would the robes. The mask was already made to help her against non-permitted entrance, and so it did. The hood was less effective in this specific type of attack, but the little aid it offered was enough for her to lock out information.

While this did mean that the effect was blocked, it also meant her focus got split again. The pressure of the winds lightened somewhat, though not as much as one might have hoped. As her focus was just enough to seal her mind using the equipment she gained. They existed for a reason. Force users were dangerous on her world and she didn't fight non-force users as much. That was why so much of her equipment was so specifically designed against them. It was also her own fear that had made that so necessary that the mask be able to aid against non-permitted entrance of telepaths or empaths, too many of her people had that power and she couldn't let them in while she was under the name Sar Vun. Or it would risk her life and that of her parents.

Aldrouk knew that Shavara could not hold on forever. She would soon run out of tricks and then exhaust all of her energy. So when he felt her power over him he struck. He used the force to lift everything around him that wasn't nailed down, he then sent them hurling at Shavara. He continued to throw debris at her, he summoned debris that were behind her, to make her turn to block and block her front. He knew she must try to retreat, for she didn't have the skill to defeat Aldrouk.

He then pushed with all the might he could muster, using the force to crush her, he wouldn't let her go. He tried with all his might, the earth seemed to crack around him. He went deep into his anger, fueling his strength.

(Sorry for regular delays, busy IRL still)

With the boosts she had, she should be able to go awhile longer. Though painful, and even dangerous to health, the Kabadabi crystals were a great resource for force users. And for someone already quite powerful, it was a huge advantage. Still, there was only so much she could do. Aldrouk began to move things and hurl them, the ones in front of her might be pushed back by the winds, but one of the ones behind her managed to slam into her back, she grunted as she fell through the air towards the ground. Only barely managing to stop herself and hold her shield to one side blocking debris from one angle while erecting a force barrier on the other side.

She grunted, feeling out of breath from the impact. Her heightened durability due to the shapeshifting definitely had helped avoid more serious injury. But he was more skilled at using less power for greater effect. She had to start strategizing better. The force he used to try and crush her however was something again to her advantage, as it fueled into her own robes once again. His power used on her or her clothes directly, became hers. She wasn't going to make the mistake she made before by reacting immediately, she let him keep going, falling to her knees as if much more greatly impacted than she was, letting the robes take in more and more with each moment.

However, her acting ability was...quite limited when it came to feigning pain or injury. Though she did have legitimate injury, one that she felt compressed by the pressure. Causing her to grunt in pain as it squeezed her side. Though greatly reduced in power, it was plenty enough to hurt. She hated this but she thought, just maybe, she could force him into a stalemate.

Aldrouk used everything he had, but Shavara held strong, a worthy opponent. He then stopped knowing he was doing nothing he then attacked with his lightsaber in hand. He activated it and blocked and parried her sword, with his claw finger he raked his hand across her shield. He used his advantage in strength to try and break her defenses. He used his unarmed hand to batter and try to deal enough damage so he could strike with his lightsaber when her gaurd has fallen.

He grunted as he slammed into her, and he saw a small opening and then he struck with all his power with his lightsaber. If this worked for him he could damage her enough and then defeat her. Though the lightsaber could only prick her, he of course was hoping for the best.
