Intent: Develop an armor that will allow Sarge to go toe-to-toe with multiple Sith at once, as well as combat the dangers of the ever-powerful Yuuzhan-Vong
Development Thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/35972-back-to-the-drawing-board/ Still being posted in, but going slow.
Manufacturer: Ayden Cater/Spirit of Druckenwell R&D
Model: Mk. I Purgation Suit
Affiliation: Omega Protectorate
Modularity: Semi. Example; Left gauntlet bolter could be swapped out for another gauntlet mounted weapon [flamethrower, for example].
Production: Unique
Material: Thin beskar underlay, from this armor. Durasteel-titanium alloy forms bulk of armor. Armorweave/insulated underlay for protection against blasters, not strong enough to repel lightsaber attacks by any means.
Classification: Multipurpose
Weight: 186 kg
Quality: 9
Special Features:
- Wrist mounted bolter - double barrel. 30 pulls of the trigger. Side mounted magazine potentially susceptible to damage in melee fights.
- Helmet capable of interfacing with Omega-Series AI. Scomp units in index fingers for interfacing with computer systems.
- Two small bacta canisters and a hardening foam dispenser. The bacta for minor wounds, foam for holding organs in place long enough to (presumabely) reach medical attention. Foam lasts twenty minutes, then you're as good as dead.
- Liquid crystal layer in armor to reduce damage from ion weapons. Increased damage from sonic weapons because crystals.
- Crushgaunts from old armor, re-purposed for this larger suit
- Micro missile launcher on right gauntlet, two shot, similar to Jango Fett's launcher on a slightly larger scale. Won't be destroying tanks, but will significantly injure a person with a direct hit.
- Backpack power source with emergency solar panels for recharge. Supplies will always run out before battery, considering he's going to be geared for war, not extended wilderness survival. Power fed to suit through thick, bundled and armored cables mostly protected by the armor itself.
- 90 minutes air/exposure protection. Magnetized boots and thighplates. Boots in case of winding up in vacuum, thighplates for holding magazines to armor.
- Reinforced spinal column and frame for lifting weight in excess of 10 times body weight. Note, will strain and potentially damage armor. Will not be lifting tanks with one hand. Can flip small vehicles.
- Assorted things most armor has; comm units, HUD with multiple vision modes - infrared, low light, etc.

Description: Following the aborted 'liberation' of Coruscant and Cira's apparent death - as well as the kidnapping of her body by the One Sith - Sarge flew into an almost manic depression coupled with extreme bouts of rage. When he'd finally taken control of his senses again, he called upon his old friend and confidant, [member="Ayden Cater"]. With the knowledge of the fact that they were on the Spirit of Druckenwell and with unlimited access to it's massive R&D Wing, he all but ordered his friend to make him the perfect suit of war armor.

This request was met with no small amount of zeal, and within a startlingly short amount of time, the foundries had pumped out something rather remarkable. Using information gleaned from Sarge's old suits of powered armor, as well as his newfound prototype (gifted from Dark Harvest event), a suit of new powered armor was made.

Massive, imposing and none-too-subtle, it was a perfect symbolic representation of both the Protectorate and the man who would wear it; flashy only in it's ability to wage war, threatening in gait and size but ultimately inscrutable behind a mask of cold hatred. This was what would become the Purgation suit, an armor designed with one purpose in mind.

To wage war.

And not just any war. A very small, specialized war revolving around the retrieval of one of the Protectorate's own. This is the sort of suit made specifically for suicide missions with the knowledge that due to its experimental nature, things may not always function as planned - hence the incorporation of the AI, to potentially mitigate some problems before they arise or become more serious.

Due to the suits size, it weighs just over 400 lbs, requiring a specialized gantry for the attachment - and detachment - of the armor in question. It's not quiet. It's not small. It will draw attention and fire, and that's why it's so heavily armored. However, despite the impressive weight, it's surprisingly agile, owing that to the powerful battery it uses to propel the synthetic muscles around. Naturally, being agile in such a big suit doesn't mean as much as an unarmored opponent being agile, but this is to say that there will be no small deal of difficulty in getting in close to tear at the places where the plates don't quite meet.

The gauntlets themselves are oversized crushgaunts, and both are adorned with gauntlet mounted weapons designed specifically to increase the kill potential of the wearer. The left gauntlet is home to a wrist-mounted bolter fed from a side mounted magazine, significantly increasing the weight on the left arm and thus making it more cumbersome. Double barreled, it fires 30 pulls of the trigger before reload. It's ultimately nothing more than a shorter ranged version of the Bolter, eliminating the minimum range but trading out the long range bombardment potential, thus capping out an aimed shot at 500m (1/3 mile.)

As for the metal itself, a durasteel-titanium alloy was chosen for a mixture of strength and lightness, although it still weighs out pretty impressively. Using the beskar from Sarge's previous armor, they were able to make a thin layer to slide under the rest of the armor, forming a last line of defense against such weapons as lightsabers. Truthfullly, though, if the weapons are able to get through the thick armor layered above, the beskar will become a very last hope; what it was designed to do to begin with.

The construction and existence of the suit are considered a state secret, and those who made it were only told what pieces to make, and never saw the finished product. This was to ensure there would be as much secrecy as could feasibly be maintained.

Strengths:
+Powered
+Reduced susceptibility to ion damage
+Will help heal up minor wounds
+Heavily armed and armored
+AI Interface
+Solid protection from most damage sources

Weaknesses:

-Weight
-Sonic Weapons
-Damage to battery or muscles will severely hamper effectiveness
-Unable to use standard issue weapons, limiting combat efficiency should his weapons run dry. Unless he manages to find a Wookiee or something.

Balanced, well thought out and extended development thread.

I like it, a bit heavy but good to go. No glaring effects.

All my love.

Approved, pending secondary love from someone else.
