SPECIAL FEATURES
Designed by Miyoung of the Commonwealth and funded by Junko and Shoma. The young and brilliant mind was in charge of their more advanced forms of study and looked towards a combination of science, mystical aspects like the force and most importantly mythology not just from Atrisia's past but also from a number of other areas of the galaxy. The continued looks at what they had in terrms of gaps. Miyoung looked to develop multi layered countermeasures... never rely on a single piece of equipment. Miyoungs analysis of different components and designs gave her a few ideas that they could power with a number of systems and upgrades to their cities and planets. The Willow Branch Gravitic Lensing Array is a cutting-edge defensive system that establishes a localized, dynamically responsive protective field by manipulating spacetime itself. It embodies the Atrisian principle of neutralization without confrontation, using finely-tuned adaptive gravity wells to bend the trajectory of all incoming threats whether energy, kinetic, or massive objects creating a decisive "safe volume" of space around the protected asset.

SPECIAL FEATURES
- Adaptive Gravitic Lensing: This is the Array's core functionality, projecting variable-intensity gravity wells (lenses) to manipulate incoming threats.
- Energy-Based Attacks (Diffraction): When detecting coherent energy weapons (lasers, plasma bolts), the lens creates an instantaneous, localized density gradient in spacetime. This gradient acts as a refractive medium, diffracting and scattering the energy wave's coherence, causing the beam to rapidly disperse harmlessly into the void.
- Kinetic Projectiles (Deflection): For railgun slugs, missiles, and torpedoes, the lens applies a finely calculated transverse force over the object's path. This subtle, sustained nudge alters the projectile's trajectory by ≈0.05 to 0.5 degrees, which, compounded over distance, ensures the projectile misses its target by a wide and safe margin.
- High-Mass Objects (Redirection): For larger, slower-moving objects (debris, disabled vessels, crashing pods), the Array projects a powerful, sustained gradient field that subtly but decisively alters the object's descent vector, guiding it into a pre-designated, non-critical "dump zone" away from critical infrastructure.
- Legion Protocol: This smart-system protocol transforms multiple Array units into a unified, predictive defensive grid.
- Real-Time Trajectory Calculus: The protocol continuously aggregates data from all networked sensors, calculating the velocity, mass, and projected trajectory of every incoming projectile and energy bolt.
- Evolving Response: It uses this data to learn and catalogue enemy firing patterns. When facing a massed volley, the Protocol pre-emptively configures the gravity lenses not for the current impact point, but for the optimal deflection point before the shot is fired, maximizing efficiency and enabling the system to handle massive saturation attacks by treating them as a single, complex problem.
- Calabi-Yau Gravitic Core (CYGC): The CYGCis the highly miniaturized power and control hub for the Array's projectors.
- Hyper-Compact Design: The core utilizes the Calabi-Yau manifold to condense the high-output gravity generator components and the complex quantum field regulators into a ship-mountable chassis. This allows a system capable of manipulating immense forces to be installed on vessels or fixed installations where space is a critical constraint.
- Precision Control: The CYGC provides the necessary computational throughput for the Legion Protocol to achieve the extreme precision required to nudge objects rather than crush them, demanding continuous, complex calculations.
- Self Repairing: The Array's projector units are fabricated with programmable materia, enabling autonomous repair of micro-stress fractures or minor physical damage over minutes to hours, ensuring high system uptime during prolonged engagements.
- Calabi-Yau - Designed within to allow the compact design as various components can be within a singular space and the manifold created.
- Target-Agnostic Defense: The system is overly engineered to affect anything with mass or energy. This makes it uniquely effective, requiring no pre-designated IFF (Identify Friend or Foe) and performing equally against targeted laser fire, dumb-fired projectiles, and random space debris.
- Gravitic Non-Destruction: By bending and nudging threats rather than exploding them, the Willow Branch Array ensures that its operation generates minimal debris, shrapnel, or plasma scatter, minimizing secondary damage to the protected asset and surrounding area.
- Paired Calibration Requirement: The operational integrity of the Calabi-Yau core relies on the precise creation of an even-dimensional space. This requires specialized calibration and tuning by proprietary Commonwealth technicians, making maintenance and field repairs complex.
- Exotic Particle Volatility: The core physics of the CYGC relies on specialized exotic particles. These particles are highly volatile and react violently near concentrated fields of dark matter or anti-matter signatures, risking catastrophic system failure and disintegration.
- Localized Effect Limitation: The defensive "bubble" created by the Array has a finite volume dictated by the power output of the projectors. It can provide impenetrable defense to a starship or fixed facility, but it cannot effectively protect an entire fleet spread out in formation, only the immediate area around the equipped asset.
- Computational Overload: While the Legion Protocol is highly advanced, a sustained, simultaneous assault featuring a novel mix of energy, mass, and high-velocity projectiles in extremely high volumes can temporarily overload the Legion Protocol's calculus matrix, leading to a momentary lapse in optimal deflection while the system re-calibrates.
