DESCRIPTION
The un-creatively named Nebulon II Frigate is a nod towards the reborn First Order's diminished role in the galaxy. Whereas previously ships developed by First Order Naval Engineering were almost as a rule carefully crafted to fit into a specific niche and fill a clearly defined role in a fleet formation, the Nebulon II is something of a jack-of-all-trades. Designed primarily as a convoy escort and patrol vessel, it is built to operate independently for long periods of time with minimal support. It is also significantly faster than most of the fairly lumbering First Order frigates of yore, designed to chase and confront pirates, rebels, Ssi-Ruuvi raiders, and so on in defense of the scattered First Order remnant colonies and holdings.

But it is not without its heritage, as seen most notably in the lightweight-but-ultratough Carbon-Nanofilament Armor, the menacing triple barreled Annihilator Turbolaser turret mounted beneath the prow, and the HARM GMWS mounts. It is also, as one might expect from any First Order vessel, a well built ship with no-frills systems, state of the art automation, robust damage control systems, and of course a best-in-class Combat Systems suite, including the versatile IFC-DCN standard on all First Order major combatants. In a nod to its role as an escort and patrol vessel, it also sports an advanced sensor package, featuring all the usual suspects but with higher fidelity and resolution imagery and processing.

As a development of the classic Nebulon design, the ship still features a spar, and it remains vulnerable to concentrated fire, though not as extreme as the venerable Nebulon-B. Most notably is the fact that the ship is clearly designed as an independent operator and is not really designed to participate in fleet operations. It has limited point defense, a mediocre hyperdrive, and little other utility. It is nevertheless becoming a common sight in the territory patrolled by the nascent First Order, a symbol of stability reborn.

Giving a new twist to a new ship. We got problems though.

Armaments:
Links are broken, please repair

Length: 310m

Hangar Space: Low - 1

200m [Base: 0 | Very Low: 0 | Low: 0 | Average: 1 | High: 2 | Very High: 3 | Extreme: 4 ]
350m [Base: 0 | Very Low: 0 | Low: 1 | Average: 2 | High: 3 | Very High: 4 | Extreme: 5 ]
Sadly we cannot round up. If you want to use the low for 350 meters, then make it 350 meters in length. Else you will need to change up your hanger space and allocations in ratings. Till then, I cannot give an accurate rating balance.

Let me know when this is done and we can move onto hopefully the approval process!

EDIT: New hyperdrive process, please add in.

  • Hyperdrive: (Does this ship have a hyperdrive? Only choose yes or no. The lack of a hyperdrive may be included in the weaknesses of a submission.)
  • Hyperdrive Class: (If this ship has a hyperdrive how fast is it? The lower the number, the faster the ship is, you may choose decimals. Any speed below 1.0 requires the hyperdrive to be added to the ship’s strengths and accordingly balanced with weaknesses. Links: Hyperdrive, Hyperdrive Comparisons)
Thanks.
