SPECIAL FEATURES

STRENGTH
  • Holographic Matrix: The Princeps HoloDroid can assume almost any visual form thanks to its integrated multispectrum disguise matrix, allowing it to project a lifelike hologram of its choosing around itself. Its body can also extend to match the hologram's height, although this does have its limits.
  • Mimetic Combatant: Outfitted with highly experimental combat processors, the Princeps can observe, catalog, and learn from any opponent it fights. This information is then relayed back to a central computer hub on Bastion, where it can then be stored for future use.
WEAKNESSES
  • EMP: A well-placed EMP can not only short out the HoloDroid's disguise matrix but can also cause significant damage to its limbs and outer casing. The central processing unit, however, was protected by an ionization buffer.
  • Not the Real Thing: While the Princeps can swing a lightsaber and hold its own against surprised Jedi, it'll never be the real thing. Data and combat algorithms are no match for organic instinct and the will of the Force.
DESCRIPTION

Previously the Emperor of the Sith relied on more ceremonial messengers to stand in for him at physical gatherings, but they were only capable of projecting his face via a glasteel monitor built into the droid's head or displaying a miniaturized version of himself from their palms.

This was deemed no longer acceptable by the opulent Emperor.

He put his mind to the grindstone, locking himself away for weeks in his personal workshop as he drew resources from the Imperial Department of Military Research and Technologies, borrowing experimental equipment and designs while adding his own wicked ingenuity to the mix.

The result was a series of HoloDroids known as Princeps, who could mimic the appearance of nearly any humanoid sentient being via an integrated multispectrum disguise matrix. The Princep's telescopic limbs allowed for it to mimic their height as well, and state-of-the-art translator software allowed them to speak virtually any language in existence.

However, the most impressive feature of the Princeps was the addition of experimental mimetic combat processors. This technology allowed the Princeps to study and learn from any combat scenario, passing along its knowledge wirelessly to a central databank situated within the Imperial Palace on Bastion. All of the Princep HoloDroids come pre-packaged with extensive knowledge of the seven forms of Lightsaber combat, as well as the fighting styles of some of the galaxy's most infamous Jedi (that have been actively observed by the Empire).

Their pair of lightsabers is concealed within hidden modules in both of their forearms, which can be retrieved on command through openings in their palm. These lightsabers can either be kept separate or combined to form a saberstaff. Magnetic clamps in both their arms and legs allow for the Princeps to mimic Force Push and Pull to some degree, though not nearly as authentic as the real ability.
