Posting Bail

Lucien slammed his fist onto his desk, He was surrounded by Idiots and cowards. It was half four in the morning and Lucien had just received a request for help. The son of a plump well pampered old hag had been arrested on Kiffu, sadly that well pampered hag also commanded one of the biggest banks on zaadja and Lucien needed her as a friend. He tossed the letter into the fire place "Send a message to Sheyf of Kiffu tell him I wish to discuss a prisoner he has in his possession" He rose from his chair I'm going back to bed" He growled and strolled back to his chambers. And so it was that the message was sent and preparations made for Lucien to travel to the Omega Pyre.

The relationship between The Republic and The Protectorate had been mended, thanks to the initiative of Jedi Master Tefka's meeting with Ayden Cater. For a while, Kiskla had been nervous about her alignment. For someone who always acted with such resolve, she fretted she'd have to choose alignment; as long as the two factions were on agreeable terms, she could continue her transition between the two. Albeit, only one in the galaxy knew she was both a Jedi Councillor and Sheyf of Kiffu. And he was as trustworthy as they came; her worries were unfounded as of yet. Still, she kept her identity as Kiskla Freya, Princess of Kiffu and second-in command to the Guardian Army a secret.

This secretive soul stirred when a message relayed through the private comm channel of the Kiffex Guardians in charge of prisoners. As usual, when she was on-planet, her father redirected trivial pursuits to her. Things that he considered weren't worth his time; and if it had no selfish rewards; it wasn't worth his time. Apparently, some dark aristocrat was seething at the arrest of one of their members; which didn't mind her in the slightest because in actuality, the Kiffex prisons were for prisoners that demanded reinforcements, not typical drunk-tank civilian arrests. It was what made theur unique selling point so...unique and most likely kept Kiffex in the interest of the Omega Protectorate.

The blonde stirred in response, gathering together the fabrics of her Guardian uniform and fitting them properly about her slight frame. Slight frame that was quite in contrast to the soldiers that gathered behind her as she made her way to the shuttle that would transport herself, and her officers to Kiffex. The Guardians were big boned, muscular beings with dark hair and tanned skin. Kiskla, unfortunately, didn't mirror these features and instead had a softer look about her; obviously inheriting her mother's Nabooian features. She did, however, have a dark black strip that ran across her face; marking her tattoo as the heir to the Kiffu throne. This was not a tattoo she displayed beyond the L-14 Azurbani system, as it would jeopardize her position. Being a Jedi Master, and a councillor no less, and a princess of a planet?
That was a dangerous bargaining chip in the enemy's paws. So far, she had done well to disguise her heritage, only one being in the galaxy knew of her cross-existence.

The heels of her boots echoed as they clicked along the gangway ramp, and she paused to await the arrival of the perturbed conversationalist.

Lucien woke a few hours later His valet had already positioned his Ceremonial Armour that had only recently been created (This is the closest I could get to my Idea, It was essentially the picture minus the hat and mask) He Changed quickly with some help from His Valet. He clipped His Light saber to his belt then walked the short distance to his ship. His boots struck the polished marble making a noise like thunder.Behind him walked two Body guards in perfect sync with his own steps. They bore vibro swords but nothing else No one in Lucien's party was equipped to fight except Lucien. This was a show of might nothing more.

The transfer over to Kiffex was short and uneventful. His yacht slid into the hanger and the front front ramp thumped onto the ground and Lucien's body guards marched out, They moved to stand at either side of the now descending rear ramp. Lucien exited via this one. He descended the ramp before offering Lady Grayson a bow. "Thank you for agreeing to meet me on such short notice, I am Lord Lucien Cordel appointed Lord defender of Zaadja and skye and I am led to believe the son of one of my associates is being held here." He said his voice was polite but firm "I wish to see him and then negotiate for his release"

"We wouldn't have you hovering in space all night without access." The princess replied, light eyes sparked mischievously beneath the thinly painted veil against her slightly tanned skin. She didn't bow, only accepted his homage before offering her own position on this planet "Sheyf Freya."
The boy that was in the cells had little interest to her, as he hadn't revealed anything to them. Nor did he have an outstanding record, or Force presence. His necessity to remain contained in their cells was..zilch. Kiskla adjusted her step to side with the apparent Lord, walking with him in the direction of the containment facilities. If @[member="Lucien Cordel"] spoke with the prisoner, perhaps more could be revealed and Kiskla could make an accurate decision regarding his release.

"Generally, we don't allow interactions." Kiskla commented, her voice smoother than the traditional Kiffar accent. "But--" with a sweep of her arm, one of the Guardians sided with the Lord, indicating that he'd escort him into the cell with the perpetrator.

Lucien nodded followed the princess toward the containment cells, whilst they did so he looked over the hags message again apparently her son had been detained for trespassing on government property. Lucien shook his head the boy was a fool but sadly he was a fool with a well connected mother. They arrived at the cells and the princess indicated that he could see the prisoner "Your Majesty is most kind" Lucien smiled. He approached the desk that controlled access to the door "I am here to see a Mr. ... Xemo" The name was imputed ad the doors to the row of cells slid open. Lucien strode down the line until he came to the boys cell.

The door was opened for him and he stepped inside, The boy was asleep at the back of the cell his wrists bound by stun cuffs. Lucien strode over "Get up you Imbecile, You had the audacity to have your mother summon me, you could at least have the decency to be awake when I arrive" The boy stirred "now why were you arrested?" Lucien asked. The Prisoner went on to discuss how he had been part of a protest group who had campaigned by breaking into an omega factory and holding a sit in. Lucien shook his head, The boy was often in trouble for the same thing back on Skye. Lucien listened to his story and left the cell. He returned to @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] "I suppose we aught to negotiate, what will it take for you to release him into my custody."

On this planet, Kiskla masked her Force alignment. Especially when there was such a dark air; @[member="Lucien Cordel"] had such an imposing signature. She regarded this as he interacted with the boy in the cell; holding her Guardians back from any sort of action.
As she had assumed, the boy was merely an radical idealist who hadn't done anything to warrant him permanent residency in Kiffex's cells. But nobody needed to know that his transfer was already under works to a more...appropriate location.

So when Lucien re-emerged and suggested bargaining, Kiskla's business side sparked to life.
"His charges, albeit minor, transition between my jurisdiction and The Protectorate's as a whole, considering it was government property trespassed on. There will be different implications I'm sure, so yes." She took a leading step, directing the governor to an open room that was more furnished than any other within the prison, for situations just as these. She waited for Lucien to take a seat before she did, and crossed her legs.

"You're an honourable man, Mr. Cordel. Coming on your associate's behalf." It was in that moment that she blinked. Lucien Cordel -- that was the name that Ashin Varanin had mentioned in their conversation on Necropolis. Lucien was one of them that might not have followed her paths she was wanting to take. Interesting how fate played out.

Lucien nodded If the boy had not been the man he was, Lucien would have strangled him " I assure you that his actions were no way aided or authorized by The Fringe Confederacy" Lucien said as they walked along the prison corridor. He stepped into the furnished room and took a seat, He was not accustomed to being given permission to do anything. He smiled as she complimented his honour "People keep saying this, all those years killing puppies was all for nothing ... my reputation is in tatters" He lent back "Now what can I do in exchange for custody of the fool you have locked up?" Lucien asked taking a data pad from the gaurd stood next to him.

As he waited for a reply he reined in his aura the time for pageantry was passed. Having done that he waved his guards away. He was willing to negotiate but he wasn't giving away too much the boy wasn't worth the hassle.

Following Lucien's relaxed cues, Kiskla leaned back in her seat while considering the potential of this deal. Potential's leash was short, as @[member="Lucien Cordel"] clearly stated he really had no interest in the boy. Honestly, neither did she. For argument's sake, however, she had to imply they did so some profit could be made. If he was going to walk out of here, legally, she had to gain some trade of credits; but was there more she would gain? Perhaps a favour?

"The standard bail for petty criminals is 15,000 credits." Kiskla commented, her cerulean gaze not lifting from the gentleman across from her. "This covers hassle fees, government charges, and all other overhead costs for his room and board, temporary although it was." Her light eyes glittered as she maintained her relaxed position, nodding ever so faintly "But that's a mere dent, from what I understand Mr. Cordel." What's that? She knew his name? Why Kiskla, you sly fox! Why didn't you say so earlier!? "I always wondered how certain factions dolled out salaries. On that note, how is The Fringe, these days?"

Laughter blurted from Lucien's mouth, it took a few minutes for him to calm down "You are right it is a small dent however Losing him would be even smaller, I am not willing to give you 15,000 your accountant should be sacked his math sucks, I run Prisons Lady Grayson I know costs Involved" He said with a smile two could play at that game "Now shall we cease the theatrics and pea-cocking and get down to business" He said leaning forward "I will give you 5,000 ... alternatively you can keep him, I will not be paying his upkeep cost though you will" He smiled Pointing at @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] then stood up "do we have a deal?". Lucien couldn't care less what happened to the boy and all he needed to do was fob his mother off with a sob story about Omega evil and all would be well.

Kiskla's expression remained only vaguely amused. She'd wanted to test the waters; and indeed @[member="Lucien Cordel"] had blatantly ignored her commentary about The Fringe which was the only irritating thing about this situation.

"Mm, but outside the innermost rim where all centralized deals and credits are made, the markup goes up." Still, she cared little to continue bargaining. She had indeed marked up the price over 100% merely to see how Lucien would react to something ludicrous. Something as ludicrous as one of his top influencers being a sleeper agent, persay. Apparently, it didn't bode well and Kiskla could understand the issues that one of High Councillors faced. It grieved her. "But it seems you're a born businessman. Talked me against a wall." Oh, such decadent commentary! "I suppose that deal's better than twisting your arm." She was a mentalist, and could, with some effort overpower his capacity to think but that would just lead to a whole new can of worms. She lifted a finger and gave it a brief twirl to the guards stationed outside who were keeping a keen eye on her.

"Which prisons do you run?"

Lucien extended his hand "A pleasure doing business then" He smiled. He picked up a data pad and plug in a 6 digit code then imputed the 5000 credits they had agreed upon "Who am I to make this out to?" He asked calmly. She was either making small talk or testing him he was inclined to bet on the second option "Inquisitive aren't you My lady I run 4 labour camps, two on Zaadja and two on Skye, as well as one maximum security prison fortress on Zaadja". Lucien prided himself on his mental defense whether he could stand against Lady @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] was another matter, but he was confident he could. He had ignored Lady Graysons comment on the fringe he would wait until their deal was finalised to discuss it.

"Kiffex Guardians." Kiskla replied simply, after his inquiry. As she spoke, one of the Guardians posted outside peeled from his position and headed toward the individual that had brought @[member="Lucien Cordel"] to her doorstep.

"Zaadja." She nodded thoughtfully. "We have a similarity with prisons in extreme climates then, don't we?" The young Jedi simpered politely while retrieving her own informational device that would alert her when the funds had been smoothly transferred -- then they could continue colloquial conversation and the prisoner would dutifully be handed over to Lucien's accomplices.

Lucien imputed the relevant details and the funds were transferred almost automatically. He replaced the datapad and smiled. The money should arrive any minute now.He lent back as he waited.
Lady @[member="Kiskla Grayson"] appeared to be attempting small talk so he would humour her. "Indeed we do My lady, Indeed we do" He sat back "I trust Our mutual inconvenience caused very little issue for you ... " He lent forward pulling a small sheet of paper out of his pocket "... If so you can take it up with the childs mother" He would get wind eventually, and be expected to produce something and make the issue vanish, but atleast this way he got an hour off.
