  • Freedom & Oppression:
Mnemosyne is relatively free of oppressive rule or behaviours often seen of other more imperial worlds; The people are led under a democratic body of Government and society is encouraged to uphold values of good standing (Compassion, Multi-culturalism).

Civilian rights are a high priority, the governing body making sure to enable the people with all the rights that would see them live out a high standard of living. Education is well funded for and there is no shortage of work to be found. Discrimination's at an all-time low.

The Slave Trade is explicitly illegal and any perpetrators will serve a high sentence if found guilty, for the act goes against everything the people's government and laws stand to represent.

  • Description:
Port Solaris is the Capital City of Mnemosyne, a huge sprawling Metropolis and the only City independent of any Country but serving as the heart of the world's government and trade.

Each of the five countries has an embassy within Port Solaris, and the primary government building is called the "House of Commons" where all parliamentary meetings are held.

Port Solaris was named for its numerous Starports, first starting out as a trade port for import and export business, yet over the last century has grown and developed into what is now the largest City on Mnemosyne.

POINTS OF INTEREST

The Government Sector:

  • The House of Commons:
The House of Commons represents all matters and houses all meetings relating to Parliament. This great building is located within the central city of Port Solaris and governs the entirety of Mnemosyne through the five country leaders who come together as in democratic counsel for the benefit and future interests of Mnemos Society.
  • Bastion Point:
The Department of Justice & Corrections is named Bastion Point and is situated in the same block as the House of Commons. It is important to note that while this is the hand of justice for the entirety of Mnemosyne, there are no prison facilities within the capital city itself, whereas Bastion Point consists of Court-proceedings and lawful deliberation of matters handed down through the House of Commons.

The Business Sector:

Kitakami Hotels have become synonymous throughout the galactic elite with luxury, discretion and a good time, if a celebrity wishes to have their affair in secret, a Kitakami hotel is typically the best place to do so, corporate executives looking to negotiate a trillion credit deal? Kitakami. Head of state looking for a neutral, but respectable middle ground? Kitakami. (Source).
  • Megabuildings:
Mass urban housing/apartments.

The Industrial Sector:

  • Port Solaris Starport:
The largest Starport situated on Mnemosyne utilized for the arrival and departure of tourists, as well as the heavy Import and Export traffic that provides the Capital City with a sizeable portion of its financial stability.

Situated on the outskirts of the Metropolis is your typical residential area for housing and families who wish to live outside of the hustle of the urban sprawl. This part of Port Solaris offers much more peace and quiet for parents and children, where unlike downtown, there are parks for the young to play and enjoy the wonders of nature.

Schools, University, Public Archives etc.

SECURITY
[ Provide a Security Rating (choose from: None, Low, Medium, High, Maximum) and any specific security assets in list format. What defenses does this location have, including internal and perimeter defenses? Please note that the rating is relative to the type of location this is. Normal civilian locations have a different scope in security, compared to military locations. As such a primarily civilian location with a Maximum security rating is not on the same level as a military base with a Maximum rating. Consider the ‘Stability’ and ‘Freedom and Oppression’ fields when working on this section, and make sure these reflect each other in your final submission. Please link rare or uncommon tech/equipment to the SW wiki article or Factory-approved submission. Common canon items do not need to be linked. ]

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description on the city's history here. Detail how it came to be created and why. Talk about the people involved in this city's history and expansion; and what role it played and still plays. For historical cities, if you so desire, you can include events from the Chaos Canon timeline or board history where appropriate. ]

Thank you Srina Talon Srina Talon :)

You may archive this for the time being, as I wound up blank in the inspiration side of things for this one. I will pick it up again in the future when I'm in a better place to continue it.
