ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Vehicle Transport: The Phi's primary objective is to ferry a large number of walkers and repulsorlift tanks down to the battlefield from whatever command ship might be up in orbit.
  • Sturdy Vessel: Though possessing little offensive weaponry, the Phi has mighty defenses that cannot be easily circumvented by the enemy. Layered reinforced armor and powerful shields allow the Phi to rush in, deploy its cargo, and then haul it back up to space.
WEAKNESSES
  • Weak Offensive Weaponry: Six quad laser cannons are all that serve as the Phi-class Heavy Dropship's method of striking back against enemy craft, and while it is effective against certain classes of starfighter it does little against the heavier craft. A fighter escort is always required when moving Legion vehicles into a battle zone.
DESCRIPTION

The Phi-class Heavy Dropship is the technological successor to the older vehicle transports maintained by the Sith Empire's predecessor states, the Sith Ascendancy, and the Resurgent Empire.

At a hundred and fifty-five meters long, the Phi is more than capable of ferrying the Empire's new lineage of walkers and more into battle. Lightly armed, but heavily armored, the Phi has become a staple of the Empire's growing military might in the aftermath of the Battle of Thyferra. Its cargo hold is large enough to store a menagerie of vehicles ranging from repulsorlift tanks to artillery walkers, to heavy assault walkers in a variety of configurations.

A fighter escort is absolutely necessary for the event of enemy air combatants, as the reinforced armor and powerful deflector shields can get the Phi only so far before survival becomes untenable.
