SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Cyberpunk Chic - Tailored for a specific environment, the armor is intended to blend in on the ecumenopolis world of Denon, even among the shadier crowds.
  • Don't @ Me - Spidershell Silk and TYI Flex Armor provide strong protection against lightsabers, blasters and slugthrowers.
  • Nothing to See Here - Sensors have a hard time penetrating the armor due to its Baffleweave construction.
  • Rad in Other Ways - Arginium protects against damage from radiation.
  • Like Womp Rats to the Blaster - A pair of combat de-ionizers sit on the utility belt to absorb EMP/Ion attacks against the wearer.
  • Smart Armor - The LK O.N.N. neural network provides increased processing power and response time for data fed to the integrated display devices, giving the wearer fast information on the battlefield.
  • Cryptic Communications - The Hololink XJ9 uses a custom CryptNet application to access the CryptVerse and send encoded messages via CryptAccess.
WEAKNESSES
  • Power Hungry - The armor's systems are versatile but overpowered for the small power cells provided with the armor. While designed to sit in a low-power idle mode to conserve energy, overuse of the electronic features can quickly drain the power and leave them all inaccessible.
  • Is it chilly in here? - Tailoring the original armor meant removing some portions of its protection, such against the cold, and creating a few weak spots in the arms.
DESCRIPTION
After spending time on missions for Darkwire and a few liaisons with the Agents of Chaos, Daiya discovered a need to protect herself in combat with more than just good cover and dodging. The wide-open battlefields were unlike the close confines of a city, and required another layer of armor. Her acquisition of the Phase I Haywire Armor during the Invasion of Ryloth gave her a solid starting point to pursue further changes through her contacts. Daiya wound up working with Locke & Key Mechanics, a company that took a particular interest in adapting the Haywire Armor for some reason. Since they were offering a discount to her, it didn't really matter.

The Powderpunk Armor works alongside the Powderpunk Facemask, offering sensors and a neural network system to feed data and processing power to the mask's HUD. Absent the Facemask, these features feed into the integrated Hololink XJ9 instead, offering a more limited —but still functional— means of controlling the armor's features, such as its wrist-mounted energy shield.
