  • Spectral Ghost-Beam Emitter: Fires ultra-thin, phased energy beams that initially bypass most passive sensors. These beams have a very low signature in combat and do not trigger impact warnings immediately, giving the illusion of a missed shot. Enemies often register the hit only after critical systems fail or their hulls begin melting from within.
  • Delayed Burn Penetration: Rather than explosive force, the beams inject destabilized energy into the target's hull or shields, causing delayed molecular degradation. Shields appear to hold until they collapse seconds later, often leaving engines, weapon mounts, or reactors fatally exposed.
  • Rune-Shrouded Emission Cloak: The beam's launch signature is dampened by a matrix of Sith runes and phase-refracting layers that muffle energy pulses across most spectrums. This greatly reduces the weapon's visual and auditory signature during combat, making it ideal for ambush or silent kills.
  • Shadowlink Sensor Disruptors: The Ripper Cannons leak false telemetry, and sensor echoes after each shot, misleading enemy targeting systems and command readouts. Ships struck may appear undamaged while losing power, creating chaos among squadron formations.

  • Time Delayed Kill Mechanism: Targets hit often remain unaware until vital systems rupture, leaving them unable to evade, retaliate, or brace. This delay is especially effective against coordinated enemy formations, breaking cohesion and spreading panic.
  • Sensor Shroud: The beam has a very low profile on standard sensors and appearing only briefly during its final burn phase. This concealment effect allows Sith interceptors to strike and disappear before retaliation is even considered.
  • Disruption of Morale and Logic: Enemy pilots may believe they've dodged incoming fire, only to watch their engines sputter or their wingmate disintegrate moments later. Repeated use of these weapons leads to paranoia, hesitation, and breakdown of squadron morale.

  • High Calibration Demand: Beam focus and delay tuning require frequent Sith calibration. Misalignment can cause beam diffusion or complete failure, demanding expert maintenance between missions.
  • Force Nullification: The concealment cloak and delay effect rely partially on Sith rune stabilization. These effects are reduced under Force Nullification making the beam visibly detectable and less precise.

The Phantasmal Ripper Cannons Mk. I represent the dark genius of the Shadow Mind's most elusive weaponsmiths, blending Sith secrecy, horror tactics, and ritual beam theory into a chilling precision instrument. Developed for strike wings operating under the Kainate's command, the weapon was envisioned not for raw destruction, but for the dismantling of sanity and structure.

Fitted to elite interceptors and specialized warcraft, the Ripper Cannons fire whisper-thin beams of violet-spectral energy that defy easy visual or sensor detection. Initial impact is silent and appears ineffective, yet within miilliseconds, a ship's shield fails, a control fin melts, or reactor stabilizers collapse. What follows is confusion, disorder, and often destruction without clear cause. As one captured pilot described:

"The stars blinked, and then my cockpit was on fire."

The technology behind the Ripper Cannons merges focused energy disruption with Sith-designed delay fields and phase-staggering arrays. Rather than ignite upon contact, the beam's energy embeds into matter, waiting milliseconds before activating its decay protocols. This weapon excels at fleet disruption, surgical strikes on high-value systems, and ambush eliminations of retreating or escort craft.

Each cannon is hand-forged from alchemized Sarrassian Iron, wrapped in phase-concealment lattices and bound with fear-binding glyphs etched in molten crystalite. The internal crystals used to channel the ghost-beam require ritual alignment.
While not a weapon of overwhelming force, the Phantasmal Ripper is a whispering killer. Its silence cuts deeper than noise. Its promise is not power, but inevitability. There is no warning, only aftermath. Where these cannons fire, death does not strike fast, it strikes without even being seen.
