Ilum
Ruins of Jedi Dormitory

"I am telling this for your own good, something is wrong up there...the ruins feel dark, as if infested with those blacked in their own hearts. Screams have been heard in the night, something is in pain near the cliffside. None of us wish to go there...only suffering seems to exist there."

Sitting in a meditative like pose, sat a masked individual on top of the central staircase. The Force focused in around him as he did not wish to let his emotions run wild...though everything nearby seemed to keep insulting him, keep trying to rile him back up. He had been awakened once more in the past month and with it, tried to find refugee in this old location, a location that seemed to have run into by memory alone. Next to him on the ground was one lightsaber, corrupted and bleeding the Dark Side of the Force.

The snow had died down and the sun had started to rise, giving some much needed heat around the building. Slowly he could feel his temperature rise and the Force not nearly needed to be reliant anymore. Though no matter what, he was still sitting there in a meditate state. He was far to focused on what he needed...a crystal he desired far below the old Dormitory. Trying to use the Force, he moved it like a jigsaw puzzle, trying to get it unearthed...for its properties may finally aid him in his quest for not only power, but revenge.

He had originally come here looking to find traces of an old starship. But after he had been warned of the Darkness on this plateau he had chosen to investigate, flying up to the ruins in question via his battered old starfighter, Lysandra-1, and had hopped out, frowning under his face obscuring blood crimson helm. His Lightsaber was out.

Nathan Bloodscrawl may not have been the best of Jedi, but he was still a useful warrior when he needed to be.

He crept up the old ruins, found the steps, saw the man up top.

Nathan's dark blue blade hissed out of its hilt.

"Whatever you're here for, whatever you think you can obtain, it doesn't belong to you." Nathan said to Darth Luctus . "Leave now, and you will suffer no retaliation for trespassing."

The voice echoed through the ruins, causing the concentration of the masked individual to cut off. That voice...that feeling, it was unusual but he had felt it once before, he was certain of it. Slowly standing up from his meditative state, he could hear the distinct hum of a lightsaber from afar as it echoed lightly along the ruins. Turning towards the humanoid looking person from afar, he did not know who it was or why the person was there...except it was interfering, interfering with what he was told to do.

Snapping his right arm out violently, fingers outstretched, the ruins surrounding them would violently swirl as a large wind gust surrounded the area. It almost resembled a tornado and they themselves, were in the eye of it. There was a lot of power in the Force from this one individual, the grief could be felt as the aura was all encompassing. With his left hand snapping forward a moment later, the crossguard lightsaber ignited in a crimson red, turning it slowly with its tip pointed at Nathan as the figure proceeded to walk in determination towards the humanoid as its gritted voice echoed out.

"Ruins...Bodies...No Difference."

The refusal was all Nathan needed as a prompt even as the aura of intense grief hit him like a wall. But he struggled past it, his own trauma ironically providing a powerful shield to the invisible disturbance, though it set him at unease regardless. He was upon Darth Luctus immediately with his Lightsaber in the Niman style, his take on it more aggressive and power oriented, delivering a powerful, heavy slash at the arm holding the sword, trying to outright batter the strange Dark Side user into submission by attempting to cut off his weapon arm...

Taking up a rather sudden Djem So stance, the crossguard would flick towards the left side rather violently while taking a step forward...or it should have been the case until the lightsabers own power supply got drained and the lightsaber struck right across the mask of Darth Luctus, near the top of his forehead and striking across the left eye socket. There was a gasping scream that erupted as he took a few steps back upon the hit, his left hand shooting out violently with the use of Force Blast to shove Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl away far as he could for a few brief moments.

Part of the mask fell to the ground, almost a fifth of it from the top left of the humanoids head as it actually evaporated in small particles. Some kind of strange mask of the Dark Side? Regardless, it seemed it can be destroyed in some regard as his eyes carefully looked back towards the humanoid. A green human looking eye pierced through behind it, as if there was some kind of plea in it...despair. Before it could even finish, the eye turned yellow as electricity arced through the left arm as the crossguard lightsaber reignited, now channeled partly through the Dark Side of the Force with lightning arcing around it.

Taking a few steps forward, he attempted to slam down the crossguard with one hand, as if a barbarian brute in a mixture of Ataru and Djem So, right onto the blade of the humanoid to test its theory. If it connected, he could only proceed to smash into the lightsaber over and over, he wanted to weaken the person, however much he could...all the while letting the electricity try and absorb some of what mysterious magic was in the other lightsaber.

The Force Blast flung Nathan away from Darth Luctus and hurled him into a wall. He felt a hard thud on his shoulder blade but used the Force to reduce the level of his injury, making it bruised and sore as opposed to dislocated, but it knocked the wind out of him regardless.

He struggled up, noted with curiosity the fluctuating color of his eye.

But he had no time to consider it now, watching as he charged his crossguard saber with lightning. Nathan got up into a running charge, blade in hand.

Nathan met power with power, their blades slamming into each other violently and repeatedly. Nathan held his ground, refusing to be moved backward, advancing into his opponents swings with his own, trying to strike as hard as possible to try and rip the crossguard blade out of his foe's grasp. Luctus scored a glancing wound on the armored jacket, the heat from the blade dashing through a piece of the armor, and causing a mild second degree burn on his right pectoral. Nathan's higher than normal pain tolerance allowed him to power through it, intercepting the next chop more successfully, forcing the blade aside and throwing a heavy punch right at the exposed part of his enemy's mask as hard as he could, hoping to connect and stun him. If it did, Nathan would not let up, and immediately swing the blade at the wrist holding the saber with the maximum amount of strength and force he could commit to the attack.

The two would clash over and over in power, neither one apparently wanting to outdo the other. A literal Barbarian with a lightsaber versus the soldier of tommorow. Unlike the human, he would take a step back on each strike but would return it with twice as much power before making a step forward. Being a master of Djem So taught a lot of ways to counter each strike to hit just as hard. As if both were trying to disarm the other, a strike would strike onto the crossguard section of the lightsaber, preventing it from being cut through though the punch was unexpected.

PUFAH! It connected and made him stumble backwards, something apparently that has not happened in a long time. When the strike came down towards the wrist, it would strike down onto the lightsabers hilt and the users own thumb in the attempt to defend. Slicing it completely off, there was a pained groan as the thumb was not completely gone.

With the lightsaber destroyed as he walked back a bit quick, both hands went out towards the Human as he tried to use the Force to drain the very life force out of the other persons body. Letting it be as intense as possible, the eye of the individual would be still a sickening yellow but a tinge of green was there as it roared out in response, as if dominated by two voices, as if one is over the other.

"You have destroyed this bodies use...and soon I will have yours to use for my own!"

Nathan doubled over as the power of Darth Luctus reached into his very spirit, attempting to Leech it out of his body.

Nathan struggled mightily to keep his life energy from slipping out, but Luctus's rage and power was great, and Nathan's ability to keep him from stealing anything was fading rapidly, and he wasn't quite certain how to break the lock.

The world seemed to dim around him. Hooded figures in glowing blue walked towards him.

The Defiler seeks corruption. Why do you not cast him out?

"I'm trying." Nathan hissed in his own head.

A Jedi does not try. A Jedi does.

"Well, maybe I need a little help here, to more properly understand such a notion." Nathan replied with a mix of acidity and respect.

Will you kill him?

"Not unless he makes me." Nathan replied. "I didn't come up here to kill anyone. I even gave the bastard a chance to walk away. Not my fault he didn't take it."

The spirits observed him.

"Open yourself to us."

Nathan complied, even as he weakened, vision dimming further. He calmed himself, opened himself to the Force. The Spirits connected with him, melding with his spirit. The Spirit of every Jedi that had walked that ice strengthened him, allowing him to regain his strength, prevent more than a few tiny slivers of life to escape him.

He reached deep in the Force with the aid of the dead Jedi, and humbled himself... hesitantly.

The Light surged through his cells, burning in his mind as he rose to a rigid posture, still on his knees.

His hand stretched out towards Luctus, as he drew on the Force rich ground passively, flowing along with it as opposed to greedily stealing from it.

The arcs of green, lightning like energy traveled up his arm and lashed out to Luctus in green, lightning bolts.

To normal beings, this could only stun, and painlessly, at that, since it drew from the light. But it could prove severely painful, possibly even lethal to Luctus. The bolts of green electricity seared towards the mask of Luctus, hoping to destroy, or at least weaken whatever evil spirit was inside of it to sever the mask from the host without killing him.

It had seemed he would have won, all the power was starting to sap out of the living soul known as Nathan Bloodscrawl Nathan Bloodscrawl , it was going beyond anything he could have imagined. Finally, a worthy body for him to use! No more use of a body that was aged and soon forgotten! The crackling of energy zapping around its fingers, it felt the thumb slowly regrow its missing sections. He was being healed but it would not matter, he would make this human the very slave to the Dark Side of the Force!

Then for whatever strange reason, he noticed the human starting to rise from his knees. There was a small smirk behind the mask, his eye starting to turn red as it completely dominated the body it so held. It had won, the last little bit of energy of defiance! He has barely enough to let his hand raise, it would not-

"ARGGHHHHH!!!"

The voice screeched out as it had no idea the power that was still left! Any ordinary person, Jedi or Sith, would have died by now! The light shined upon the mask of lightning energy, stumbling all around it as the hands shifted fast towards its own mask. It tried to shield itself, trying to keep the light from shining upon the mask as it kept screeching out in horrid pain, kneeling down. The mask itself would morph several times even, making its own eyes and mouth as if trying to survive before it made a horrendous screech before evaporating into black dust, the persons back arched and its face raised towards the sky as black particles were whisked away.

Heaving a bit heavily, there was a strange sense of emptiness as the being looked upwards at the sky. The feeling of unease all around the place would slowly evaporate, the feeling of grief, despair and sorrow would also seem to vanish. The head would slowly start to raise, long unkept hair starting to move away from his own face as he seemed a bit...out of it. Trying to blink his eyes a few times, he felt his strength starting to return as his arms slowly rose up, trying to rub his eyes as they returned to a solid green color.

"W-what...what..."

The eyes would slowly turn as it laid upon the human that had freed him from his own torment. There was a strange silence as he tried to formulate words but none seem to come. There was so much he had to endure, so much he had to relive...so much of his own hell he had not fully understood. The mask even was of his mortal nemesis, a cruel joke to let him use power he always craved...but at the cost of not only his mind, but soul and will.

"Where...where are we?"

(Sekiro Deathblow Sound Plays)

(SHINOBI EXECUTION: 7000 XP)

(ARTIFACT DESTROYED: 14000 XP)

(SOUL FREED: 21000 XP)

(Nathan has both leveled up and moved closer to the Light Side of The Force!)

(Niman Skill increased. Can now incorporate attacks from other Lightsaber styles slightly more easily. Can now more effectively call on the Force to attack/defend while using Niman. Can now switch between Niman to another preferred saber style in the heat of the moment)

(Single Bladed Lightsaber Skill increased. Nathan has gained a slightly better understanding of how to penetrate the defenses of a cross guard Lightsaber, as well as a slightly better understanding of how to defend against such weapons)

(Force Connection/Skill Strengthened. Nathan has gained a slightly better understanding of how to defend against Force Drain and direct attacks from the Dark Side in general)

(Nathan has recovered old skills!)

(Nathan has remembered old Force Powers!)

Skill: BROKEN GATE

Ancient Jedi Martial Art involving Strikes, Throws, Stomps, and Joint Locking (Note: Nathan's use of it resembled RL Okinawan Karate). Taught by Nathan's father, Angus

Skill: ROPE DART LIGHTSABER

Lightsaber Fighting style where a saber shoto is built from Lightsaber resistant metals and attached to a chain or cord of similar materials. Chain is used to attack/ensnare, and saber is used to deliver disabling/killing blow once opponent is ensnared. Alternatively, the shoto can be used to attack in a manner similar to a Light-Whip. Can be combined with Form One, Form Six, and Form 007. Largely self taught, but initial lessons were given by his mother, Natalya.

Skill: FORM 2

Ancient Jedi Lightsaber style for combatting other Lightsaber Users and excellent for defense against Force attacks, but poor for Blast Deflection and against power oriented melee styles and more than one opponent. As skill grows, these weaknesses can be gradually overcome to a certain extent, but never fully mitigated. Taught to him by Elaine Tear in the Gulag Era.

Skill: FORM 5 (Shien/Djem So)

Repeated exposure to this fighting style, at the home world of the Gran, and at Exegol, along with this particular duel has allowed Nathan to naturally pick up on the style. Better for counter Attacks and reflecting blasts at attackers, while it's sub variant relies on crushing power assaults and swift riposte, also solely for fighting other saber users. As skill increases, blast redirection and attacks can be delivered with greater and greater strength as the user channels the Force through their bodies for the heaviest power assaults imaginable

Power: ELECTRIC JUDGEMENT

Taught to him by his Jedi Master, Moya De Lifte, this power sends out green, electricity like bolts of Light Side energy. Capable of only painlessly stunning non Force Sensitives and other Light Siders, the energy could prove Lethal or highly incapacitating to those who use the dark side. As skill increases, number of bolts along with range and accuracy increase as well.

BEWARE: Using this power often may cause the body to alter itself to accommodate...

Power: FORCE HEAL

Uses the Light Side to heal broken bones and damaged tissue. As skill increases, More severe wounds can be healed, up to and including the regeneration of limbs

BEWARE: Using this ability may cause the body to alter itself to accommodate...

Power: FORCE LIGHT

Projects an aura of Light from the hands, lighting passages and potentially purifying Dark Side Nexuses. Light can potentially blind Dark Side Users within a certain radius. As skill increases, radius of lit areas, along with radius Dark Sider users might be blinded within, also increase, along with the size of nexuses that can be purified and can possibly harm dark spirits.

(TRIAL OF SKILL PASSED)

(TRIAL OF COURAGE PASSED)

Even with the help of the Jedi Spirits, Darth Luctus had nearly succeeded in killing him. Nathan's own experiences had helped harden him just enough to put him over the top with the Sith, allowing him to cast him out.

In his mind, Nathan was in a void, surrounded by the blue spirits.

Remember, Nathan Bloodscrawl, a Jedi's strength lies not in skill with the blade but in devotion to the Light Side. Remember this, and you shall always have the Force as your ally.

Nathan opened his eyes. He was sore everywhere.

He was quiet a few moments as he rose, teleporting his Lightsaber to his hand, dusting the snow off, walking over to Milos Echo . He kept his distance. No telling what after effects lingered. He switched the Lightsaber to stun mode just in case. No sense in killing the guy by accident after having just freed him, in case his mind was scrambled. Nathan had been amazed there was anyone to save under the mask. He teleported the destroyed Lightsaber parts to his other hand.

A strange notion entered Nathan that moment. One he didn't consciously acknowledge.

Is it possible to save Elaine and Julia without killing them?

"You're on Ilum." Nathan answered stoically. "That mask was possessing you but it's been destroyed. Do you remember who you are, what you were doing before the mask took you over? I can get you whatever help you need but we can't do that here."

Having now sat up, he was in a meditating sitting position as the wind gently blew on him. It felt weird...all of this did not seem to make sense. All the while, he noticed someone nearby when he asked all of those questions. Blinking a few times, he heard the answer along with the questions.

"Ilum...how ironic...my name is Echo....no, Milos Echo. Where I was before the mask, I was dead. Left to rot through the Netherworld."

Slowly, he started to stand up as his outfit did not match who he was now, but then again, he did not want to strip it all down to just save any form of face.

"Be grateful to be sent towards a spaceport...or any form of shuttle. I will find my way from there...just the Galaxy...I have a lot to do in repayment for my actions...guided by this accursed mask or my own actions."

(Sorry on wait, I been very busy and just bogged by work. Can be left here also if wished)

At the answer Milos Echo gave, about having been dead and then brought back to life, Nathan was unable to hide his reaction, in the form of a subtle jolt in the way his head inclined forward slightly at those words.

"I can call for a shuttle. The Starfighter isn't a two-seater..." Nathan replied. But then some strange prompting from within, perhaps the Force, prompted his next statement.

"Echo, if you got some debt to the Galaxy you want to repay...I might have something you could help with..." Nathan spoke. "There's this Cult I'm attempting to bring down. Vicious nutjobs using The Dark Side. Slaves to it. They are known as The Cult of The Brain Demon. They slaughter innocents old and young in perverse rituals to a Dark Side Entity they worship."

Nathan removed his helmet. His grim expression was seemingly frozen on his face.

"I am assembling personnel and resources to defeat them, but I need more allies. If you want to help people, make up for what you did, whatever it was, I would ask for your assistance in the fight against them."

The jolt was expected. Dying was not something that worried him over the years, it was more or less just a painful reminder that bodies slowly rot over time. Though this time, it was a bit different. Both both hands together, he nodded as he went to walk forward on the note of a shuttle but heard what the masked human had said afterwards. The Force was indeed strange and stranger to set ties towards someone to ask for help from a recently freed foe. Glancing towards the now unmasked human, he listened carefully and hanged his head silently. The wind blew again gently near them as he gave a small nod after a few moments of thought.

"Then you may count upon me. I will fight for you stranger, least I could do for now. The Force has acted upon this moment, far more than anyone could have imagined. It is time for me to find my place back in the Galaxy."

Shaking began erupting from the ground. And a sudden stop. Everything around them goes quiet. Out of nowhere a masked figure appears to jump from one of the ledges above.

"You fight with passion, Nathan Bloodscrawl and Milos Echo...But I will not let you destroy another of us."

The figure pulls out two crossblade lightsabers, and stands his ground.

He stopped his movement as the voice rang out, after the ground had shaked. Nathan most likely had gone ahead...whatever was going to happen now...it is inevitable. Standing with his back facing the masked figure that appeared, he did not do anything that be considered a hostile movement. Speaking, he let his voice echo out as he did not even turn to see the individual...for he did not need to, he can sense him, he can feel the very spot he was standing.

"Walk away...this is not a fight you want to have with me."

The wind would pick up slightly as it became obvious...that the now turned human before him had no lightsaber, no weapon on him at all. He awaited the others response, being quiet as his unkept hair blew towards the side.

He looked at the Jedi. A cruel laugh came out, sent shivers down the spin of Echo. A robotic dark deep voice spoke.

"You really think..so? Tell me, fool...do you know Darth Malgus?"

If anyone thought he was a Jedi, they would been wrong. No shivers came from him, no chills that would send him down into fear. For a long time, he was fear...he was the what resonated in peoples mind, he was the "Echo" of their feelings, their fear...their life. Walking forward, he let his voice resonate out as he spoke something a bit...unusual.

"A dead Sith Lord in the last several thousand years? Oh yes, I know his tale well enough...much like how his tale ended, don't tempt fate."

He stared into the eyes of the crusader.

"I advise you do not speak of my grandfather in that matter..I am WAY more powerful then you think..."

Anybody could see the anger seeping from the eyes of the sith lord.

"Without me, there is no force." - Darth Valor
From a distance you could hear a ship come. It would land a distance between the 2 figures. The ship's door would open and there stood a figure with black armor and a cape. That figure was Darth Valor. Darth Valor would stand beside Darth Mordius. His older brother.

"A jedi.. I can finally have the pleasure to kill you." Valor would say to the Jedi in a metallic, deep, dark voice. When others here his voice, they wonder if there is a dark demon behind that mask.
"Mordius. Let us make him kneel at our feet." Valor would say to Mordius.
