- Anti-Blast - Layers of Molytex and Quantum Fiber make Laninanium armor resistant to blasts (kinetic and acute thermal damage), and makes it a bear in close-quarter combat; the armor can prevent or at least reduce the severity of injuries that would have otherwise been sustained.
- Anti-Blaster - Beskar and Armorweave cover the wearer providing the bulk of the ranged protection against blasters and similar energy-based attacks.
- Vacsuit - The armor covered the wearer's entire body and can be sealed in the event of vacuum-exposure or toxic environments, providing up to two hours of breathable air.
- Force Imbuement - A cloak of many colored feathers cascades down the wearer's back, and is imbued by Mandokarla shaman rituals to allow flight similar to wearing a jetpack.
- Heads Up - EMP/ION Interference may disable the Heads Up Display that may necessitate a wearer remove the helmet in order to see and respond to their environment; consequentially this would require breaking or preventing use of the vacsuit function.
- Shaman Chic - Unlike a typical Mandalorian Warrior whose focus is on battle, Shaman are tasked with other foci in Mandalorian culture; therefore, this armor lacks bells and whistles that might be found on other armors such as multiple layers of energy shield defense, bacta infusion systems, battlefield jamming, and so on.
- Vacsuit - The enhanced kinetic-protection ensures stray matter won't easily puncture the suit, but otherwise the suit lacks any extra protection against corrosive environments, atmospheric re-entry (extreme heat from friction), and other such considerations.
- Force Imbuement - Does not function in areas of Force Null or Force Suppression, which if they occur while in flight could have disastrous consequences for the wearer.
As much as Runi Kuryida, Speaker of the Mandokarla (a Mandalorian Shaman sect), prefers to leave matters of galactic importance to the Mandalorians whose Calling (Path) it is to be embroiled in such things, in order to reach her fellow Mandalorian at times it is necessary to wade into the battlefield in person. In such circumstances it is important to dress accordingly; a Shaman that is a burden to their vod does their own purpose and that of those they seek to support a disservice. She crafted this armor with materials from the Forges of the Enclave and those of the Mandokarla for that purpose.
The armor itself is relatively simple. There are a few humble bells and whistles such the vacsuit, 'standard' Mandalorian vambrace loadout, claws, and mounting plate, but overall it isn't designed to carry a forward operating base on her back. The Cloak of Many Feathers is the stand-out feature allowing the Shaman to fly without a jetpack; though in areas where the Force is suppressed the cloak would not function. Runi dislikes entering such areas entirely if it can be avoided, however -- they are unsettling at best. Of course, its design and materials favor protection from energy- and kinetic-based attacks, while most other forms of injury or environment hazards remains relatively at-a-glance (average) in nature.
