ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Interdictor: Like its predecessor the CC-7700, the Dalyrake has the ability to act as an interdictor thanks to the use of Gravity Well Projectors.
  • Bulwark Defense: The Dalyrake can absorb attacks that might easily cripple many of its contemporaries thanks to thick Alusteel plating and multiple shield generator networks.
WEAKNESSES
  • Poor Maneuverability: The Dalyrake is not very maneuverable compared to many of its contemporaries.
  • No Hangar: The Dalyrake does not have any sort of hangar, relying instead on docking ports to facilitate the transferring of passengers and cargo for logistical purposes.
DESCRIPTION
The Dalyrake-class Interdictor Frigate is a minor update of the old CC-7700 Frigate, made with enough changes to avoid lawsuits from CEC and enough technological updates to be viable on the galaxy's markets. To that end, the Dalyrake is a surprisingly durable vessel for its size, using a thick, reinforced alusteel hull and multiple layers of deflector shield generators which also have a shield boost function. In contrast, its weaponry is much more pedestrian but still highly functional for its intended purposes of patrolling space lanes and defending itself from common threats. While it does not have as many gravity well projectors as the Immobilizer 418 Cruiser, it does substantially outgun this competitor. This combination of battleworthiness and interdictor abilities has made the Dalyrake a reasonably popular design with both planetary defense forces and pirates alike.
