Public Paddies Havin A Good Time!

The Cousin of Malum did not retort to the words of Braze Braze nor did she answer Jalen Kai'el Jalen Kai'el , they had made up their minds, and Shan Pavond Shan Pavond had called for “The Big Boys” to come, which meant she needed to get out of there before she was captured and used as a chess piece by GA against House Marr.

Then she heard a voice and stopped halfway on the bridge. She turned and it was that Girl, the one she had locked eyes with. The words she shared where “sweet as honeycomb” and she had to admit that the attempt to leave a good impression amused her. She was a Marr and the thought of joining The Jedi was as repulsive as being licked by a Hutt.

Dark plan? Is that what I felt when we met eyes? Tell me, who are you? You obviously are powerful, I can feel nothing.. which leads me to believe you have closed yourself off from The Force.

Cordelia had stirred the pot and probably wrecked the party for those Padawans, but this one had caught her interest, something about her almost was like a spell caste, belying something else.. a charm that The Cousin of Marr thought was impossible for a Jedi.

Braze approached Mara with urgency in his stride, his expression a mix of concern and determination; he wasn't going to let any one near Cordelia. "Mara, please, stay back from her," he urged, glancing warily towards Cordelia. "It's not just about what she tried tonight. It's about everything she represents and could still attempt. Engaging with someone wielding such darkness—it's too risky."

He took a moment to collect his thoughts, his gaze still fixed on the retreating figure of Cordelia. "I know you're trying to find some good here, to reach out, but remember the dangers we've seen firsthand. Those Sith artifacts aren't just old relics; they're carriers of real, corrupting power. And anyone willing to use them against us isn't just misunderstood—they're a threat."

Braze softened his tone, trying to impart the gravity of the situation without dismissing Mara's innate kindness. "You're compassionate, and that's one of your greatest strengths, but right now, that compassion could put you—and potentially all of us—at risk. We need to be cautious, especially with the dark influences we've just witnessed."

He reached out, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Let's keep our focus on protecting each other and staying safe, not just tonight, but always. We can't afford to underestimate what the dark side can do, nor those who wield it."

Braze, with a focused intensity, sought to clarify the situation to Mara. "Look, Mara, her actions tonight—they're a clear demonstration of her intentions. She didn't just happen to wander into our gathering; she came with a purpose. That Sith artifact? It's no trivial thing. It's a tool for sowing discord, chaos, and dissent."

He paused, ensuring his words carried the weight of his convictions. "Her goal was to destabilize us, to corrupt. The very fact she introduced a dark side artifact into a Jedi environment is proof enough of her intentions. It's not about misunderstanding or misplaced intentions; it's a calculated move to weaken us from within."

Braze gestured emphatically, his concern evident. "This isn't just about differing philosophies or exploring the gray areas of the Force. This is the dark side, Mara—pure and simple. It preys on vulnerability, on curiosity, and uses it to corrupt. What happened here tonight? It was a direct attempt to test our defenses and see how many could be swayed or shaken by her influence."

He looked Mara in the eyes, earnest and sincere. "You're reaching out because you see the good in people, and that's admirable. But right now, we need to recognize the danger she represents."

"I'm not apologizing," Jalen scoffed. "Your tone would be very different if she had handed them deathsticks."

Ah, but of course corrupting padawans got a pass. Sometimes people needed to hear that they were wrong, or acting foolishly. They needed to know the truth. And sometimes that meant being brutally honest.

"I'm not sugarcoating this to make everyone feel good," he remarked. "What people need is the truth, and sometimes the truth has a bit of an edge to it. Thats just what it means to be an adult. If you go through with stealing those speeders do you think the authorities will tell you sweet nothings? Thats childish."

The Palpatine turned to Braze Braze who was weaving a warning about this Dark Girl. In that moment Mara thought of herself, the dark destiny in her blood and how The Council had hesitated to assign her a Master till they finally paired her with Jax Thio Jax Thio . Mara saw in the Tempestress herself, the same weakness. She wanted to give her hope, because it gave her hope, she needed to believe no one was beyond redemption or else hee existence was an abomination.

As Braze placed his hand on her shoulder she began to turn and did not give an answer in regard to her name. She wanted to tell her, perhaps it would sway her to know a Palpatine was a Jedi. Then again Braze’s caution, as well as Shan’s was not without merit. If she was a Dark Actor and took the information of who she was back to The Sith, The Temple would not be safe, she would not be safe.

Yes, Braze. I only wanted to show her some kindness. I believe anyone, even the worst soul can find a new beginning.”

She looked intently at Cordelia,
Remember what I said, we are all sacred vessels. And we have a responsibility to keep those vessels clean.”

The Palpatine turned with Braze and said into his ear, “Thank you, your concern is sound. I.. I feel very weak.”
She stumbled a little, the effect of Severece cousin be a shock to the system and when the Midi-chlorine and began to wake from their stasis in her cells it had an effect like a fever and aches. Mara took a seat on a elongated arch, and began to cough. Her connection to The Force was beginning to restore and her skin was tingling all over.

Before she could learn the identity of the very intriguing Paddie, the Kill Joy Jedi came into the conversation with the usual propaganda of danger and the dark side. She wanted to retort, but time was of the essence, any moment Masters may arrive and she would be unable to escape.

Deciding it was best, she gave a slight bow of her black haired head and scurried away. Her mind became fixed on this Jedi who she had locked eyes with. As she came to her ship, she opened the cockpit and levitated her Sith Saber to her hand and looked back at the bridge. After a pause she clipped it to her belt and climbed in, the glass beginning to descend over her head.

She had sown well among the impressionable, but some seed had been tossed her way too. That soft spoken Jedi had used words like poison too, telling her that she had a choice and mentioning that they both had a “dark plan.” Where they linked in some way or was that artful erudition?

As The Cousin of Malum started up the engines, there was slick and sputter. She tried turning over the Nob and it continued to short.

You have to be kidding me! You piece of kiffing spit! Ugh!”

Stepping out she went to back thrusters and saw that some fuel lines were cut. She reached for her saber hilt. Someone had sabotaged the ship, someone…

Appearing from the other side was a woman in white mantels, her hood had long glowing blond locks falling in curls and she extebdes her hand and threw the Dark Girl against her ship.

The Bride of Ashla kept the pressure of the push on the girl as she drew closer, he crossguard hilt sliding at her side with esch step.

“You have caused much trouble Cordelia of House Marr.”

Tia had to concentrate to act dispassionately for she had encountered her brother O of House Marr O of House Marr who had plagued her on Tatooine in the middle of a Tuskan Farmer Treaty.

“Your brother sends his greetings.. or should I say sister?”

The Jedi Knight felt deep anger, indignation over the gaul of this little girl. That she had come to Coruscant to cause havoc like her brother. And so with a fluck of her wrist she pulled the Mare towards her ans turned, throwing Cordelia onto the air and off into traffic below. Such an action was not becoming of a Jddi was it? She was only a youth.

“You will fly or fall Marr..”

With that she walked over to one of idling speeders and leapt into the neon yellow seat and took off in prusuit of the Falling Marr.

Cordelia felt her self jerked into the thrusters, the pressure was agonizing, and then a Jedi appeared who spoke of Her Sibling.. which was not good in that it was a Jedi.

Listen.. argh.. let me go and.. aaaah!

She was tossed into the air, she fell amongst the speeders and aahips, all about was great yellow light, an abyss below as windows flew past her, ahe aimed for the back of a speeder that was gren and grabbed it. Dangling ahe pullee herself into back with a Dug that cried out with its elongated snout and tendrils who cried out.

Smirking she grabbed the wheel and took comtrol of the speedee and did a loop, the Dug falling out and on to a taxi windshield, Coredlia hit the accelerator and began to weave in and out of traffic laughing.,

Now this is commuting!
She then saw a speeder in pursuit in her rear view mirror.
Spit! Its that Blond Bombshell!”

The Cousin of Marr did barrel roll and began a deep dive downward, veering in and out of traffic as horns blasted all around her. She saw the floor of lower city approaching and so she hit the brakes and the front bumper smashed on the pavement as people ran away, she leapt put and began running for a cantina. For some reason she felt this was somehow familiar to the planet.

Mara was heading back when she saw by glancing over to where the Dark Girl had gone, that she was attacked and then tossed. Quickly she ran for one of two speeders and leapt in one and descended to try and catch her.

Mara was relieved when the Shadow Girl landed safely in a speeder, but then when she removed the driver on to taxi, Mara swooped alongside the taxi and reached out to keep the Dug from falling. She then pulled him into the second seat, he was breathing but unconscious. Making a turn she followed the trail of mayhem that the Dark Jedi was leaving and now at the lower city she got out and inspected the wounds of the Dug who was now unconscious. He had nasty bruise on his head, which seemed rather light for what happened. She used her marginal knowledge of Force Healing, a swirl of blue light before finding a med supply shop where she got some bandages and notified medical personal to come and get the Dug.

Once she saw speeder with blue strobing lights and its techs got out to tend to the wounded dug, she left the scene and found the speeder the Dark Girl had been in. It was standing up on its front bumper. She looked and saw a nearby cantina and figured that was a good place fo look. As she came to the doors there was neon greens, yellows, and pinks. And parked outside was a matching speeder to hers.

Clouds began to form of thick shadow, bolts of lightning lit the skyline of the Capital. This harbinger of Transcendence.. as The Preeminence came out of the shoals of smoke like shroud…

The Dark Ship made for the lowercity and sat down in the middle of the street, onlookers turning as the wings folded upward into two horner points, the ranp like a tongue of beveled menance as stepping down it was a figure in dadk leather, his bangs of black drawn back like a curtain and his eyes like freshly lit coals.

As he stepped on to the plates of metal mingled with stone, the sea of sentients stepped aside, some as he passed them began to choke as if his very presence stole breath away. Before him was a Cantina and a parked speeder, its engien block ruptured as he entered inside, the pistons breaking off throwing shrapnel, and causing people outside to scream.

Inside, The Transcendent scanned the room and saw a Jedi in blond locks who was searching as well, she seemee familiar though not. Taking a step, his boot below a table, he then lookee down and saw a girl with black long hair and red eyes that seemeed rather startled at his stopping down.

Now what are you doing on the floor?

His voice did not match his features, it was raspy and sounded mature. He held put his gloved hand to Cordelia of House Marr Cordelia of House Marr .

Mara had done a thorough sweept of the cantija, even barging in back rooms where gamblibg of unsavory sort was happening, one Trandoshan hissed at her and she decided to return to main bar where she saw The Dark Girl being helped to her feet by a Shadowy Figufellre, his presence was potent with the dark side of the Force, and while she knew that her efforts as Braze had urged wouidclikely be in vain, she decided to approach them borh.

Your safe.. I am so glad.

She then turned to The Dark Young Man who’s eyes pierced her when she starred into them. Despite this she spoke to him,

Will you be escorting her? I wouid feel better if she had a friend.. there is a woman,” she looked over her shoulder to see a blond haired lady in bridal dress talking to some peoplecin a booth. Returning he gaze to The Man and Shadow Girl, she said, “I’d get to the streets, I will distract her. Take care.. I never got your name..”

Cordelia was rather startled when a dashing but dark man bent down to look at her, he then offered a hand and helped her up. She was rather confused how he had located her with such ease and why he even cared. He was not from House Marr, nor did she recognize him from The Sith Order circles.

Thank.. you.”

The Cousin of Malum was then reunited with that sweet if rather naive Jedi from earlier. Her concern for her safety and then offer to help occupy the Bombshell was quite helpful. She was beginning to think if all Jedi acted like her, then she might reconsider the plans of the Empire to wipe them out, well maybe.

I am Cordelia of House Marr. If you ever need anything, you can find me with my kin. I will describe you and tell them all you did for me so they will not kill you.

What s turn if events, she came to corrupt Jedi and now she was giving one favor. The galaxy truly was upside down.

The Jedi Knight scoured the strobing catina for her. She knew she inside but something was clouding her senses. Tia explored some booths, and came upon a couple that she questioned,

Have you seen a young girl, red eyes and dark long hair? About sixteen.

The couple shook there head. She headed to another booth, this time she spoke with a group of Jawas who seemed rather startled this tall woman in a dress was addressing them.

When she turned around, a young woman in fur and Jedi tunic stood in front of her, smiling snd trying to talk to her.

Exuse me, I am on Knight Business, no time for Padawans.”

Halitus escorted this Cordelia outside, there in the streets he pointed to his monolithic ship.

You are welcome to my ship, I can take you home.”

He then turned back to the cantina. He had not come for a Marr, no there was one inside who had even more potent blood, it called to him. And so he waited outside the gaudy establishment with its neon flashing signs. All around him choked on the fumes of his malice, he poised his hands on his belt, ready to snap his twin hilts in hand.

Inside the the Dark Lord maintained control, banishing Veikis to the recesses of his mind. In all things Halitus was preeminent in this new vessel. It was a relief to breath with fresh lungs, and have the fountain of youth to draw on.

The attempt to distract the Tall Lady Jedi was not an overwhelming success, she seemed to have steel like focus and ao when she headed into another wing of another part of the place, Mara headed outside to be met by that Dark Figure, his eyes fixed on her in a very alsrming way.

Is Cordelia safe? Is she alright?

The tender Palpatine was determined to make sure Cordekia got off world. She was concerned that Bridal Knight would emerge at any moment and try to harm The Marr. This made her uneasy, as she wondered why The Dark Man was just starring at her, and then the silemce ended…

The Father in the Son Shell looked at the Young Gal. She was soft spoken and ever an errant trying to help others. She was paragon, a paladin or so she seemed on the outside. The Dark Lord with his coal burning eyes focused into squinted fashion.

I know what you are.. what blood flows in your veins.. Palpatine…

Halitus had never expected to find the Seed of Sidious in the capital of the Galatic Alliance. He had followed the trail, the call of The Dark, it had brought him here and now before him was the greatest potential for a apprentice than one could hope for in a century, maybe millennium.

You put on a good show, your compassion and hope. Deep down you are afraid of what might happen if The Shadow awoke, you even believe you have managed it. Poor girl, it is folly to resist what we are.

He then stepped back to turn,

When you are ready to cease playing the hero, come find me and I will complete your training.

The Dark Lord then turned and headed to his shuttle. There already on board was Cordelia, who sat in one of onyx colored seats. The Transcendent took a seat and prepared to set coordinates.

Where to?”

The Young Jedi was disturbed by his uncanny ability to read her. She had not hidden she was a Palpatine from The Jedi. However, he was looking beyond the namesake and at the private battle ahe fought within. It became clearer to her that someone that intuitive could not be the young man she was looking at, no there was something inside Him too.

To her relief he stepped away and did not attempt anything, he instead mentioned that she would come to him. That was ominous and made her unnerved. She had chosen the Jedi Path, and she knew the dark side preyed on fear and omens. She may have the blood of Sheev, but she she also had Rey’s blood too and she defeated Sheev on Exegol. There was still hope whatever he said, she was not bound to the blood of The Emperor, doomed to follow in his footsteps. No, ahe had a choice. The dark side made you believe you had no options, that it was all destiny, that was how they trapped people. The Light instead beckoned and said you can be better and not have to obey the whims of darker emotions.

Cordelia in her seat swiveled with glee that she was gonna be as far away frok this miserable planet as possible. When The Dark Lord appeared on the bridge, took hus pilot chaur, and asked where to, she replied,

Juntrand, Manse de Marr.”

She was thrilled to be going home. All this trouble and very little to show for it. She looked at the Young Man who punched the system in the Star Map, and the ship began to ascend. She was trying to understand his part in this, why had he come to help her? Malum could not have sent him, or else he’d have known where to go.

Still she could not complain, a free ride back to Juntrand and she was thankfully no longer being hunted by the mean Blond Jedi, whoever the Kiff she was.
